I heard on the radio these five teams having a shot at the title who are not expected to be in the preseason top 5:

 

-Notre Dame

-Penn State

-Rutgers

-Ole Miss

-Cal

-Va Tech

 

Think that's a good list there or is there anybody else that you think could make a run?

Overall, total domination by us on all sides. Offense with some nice long SCORING drives. Defense with big stops holding ISU to two first downs, and most importantly, just ONE penalty. Let's keep it up!

So after today, here's how I look at the rest of the year:

-BU W (5-3, 2-2 Big 12)-though griffin may hang 400+ yards on us

-@ OU L (5-4, 2-3 Big 12)

-KU W (6-4, 3-3 Big 12)

-@ KSU W (7-4, 4-3 Big 12)

-CU W (8-4, 5-3 Big 12)

Guys, 17-7 is not bad at all. If we can cap off some long scoring drives with touchdowns, not give up, get some stops, I'm confident we're going to win now.

But Texas answers with a kickoff return for a TD OU now up 14-10.

CU up 7-0 now on KU.

No score so far with 5 minutes in the 1st quarter.

Two good defenses so far in the 1st quarter.

It's updated, I'm getting Nebraska/Texas Tech on FSMidwest.

let us go out there and play our best against Texas Tech and not make this game embarrassing at all.

I heard this on the pregame radio intro Saturday afternoon (Matt Davison?). He said the players actually do have time to read what is being posted on message boards despite what the coaches do to try and have them focus on what they are are trying to get across to them on the practice field and film room.

 

If this is true...and let's make an assumption it IS true...shouldn't the posts calling out individual players be framed differently? Or maybe our posts be a little more motivational? How do we address 18 - 21 year old student athletes in the way we post.

VERY important to be careful what you post on message boards. Not only players can read message boards, but also coaches and the media can read these as well.

And, to be perfectly honest, Missouri is a damn good team. I don't see anyone beating them until the Big XII Championship game...

If Mizzou gets by both OSU and Texas, they'll run the table through at least the Big 12 title game.
