Let's get back to prayer:
Satan, smite our enemies!!
, etc..

I have to admit that I don't know enough about the QBs behind Ganz. The practice reports that show
up in the paper don't mention them much at all, and we've only seen a few snaps taken by other than Ganz.
I do know that our coaches want a guy who will exemplify their system.. I'm just admitting that nobody stands
out for me at the present time. It's a good question to start thinking about now though.

Well, when the coaches, the team members and others involved in the program all
are on the same page, "no further comments," I tend to let it go and wait for things
to pan out in the long run. Move on from that point.
The "no further comments" seems to have triggered a lot of speculation, some
rumor-mongering and a bit of bull s*** in several Husker forums. Too bad.
Can we move away from the guessing and just join the team and coaches in
"no further comments?"

You guys know that Mike Leach will put EVERYTHING on the field and play the starters the whole game. If this gets ugly and he shows no signs of letting up, how will Pelini handle it?
Pelini has probably already kindly requested of Coach Leach to "please keep the score in double digits" via email.
Nah.. my guess is that (if my prediction of a Husker upset turns out wrong for some strange reason) Pelini would merely tear Leach's face off and ram it down his throat right before drop kicking him through the goal posts and then collaring a ref who hasn't left the field yet for "my three points!"

Calling it a "bye week against Nebraska" is almost as much a slap in the face to
Missouri as it is to us; they had to play hard, sweat, bleed and sustain injuries
from whistle to whistle during the game just like our players did.
Saying it was a cake walk insults the hard work and efforts of the winning team.

Ii just got done reading the "yeah, its gonna get ugly thread" and my head believes that.... kind of.......(takes sip of kool-aid a looks around)
I've noticed this thing that happens. I was pretty sure MU would hang 60 on us but by gametime I thought we had a shot.
Sometime around tuesday I start thinking "we might come out strong and shock em" (takes sip of kool-aid)
and then on Wednesday "Yeah, I can see how we can upset this team" (takes sip of kool-aid and looks around)
this continues little by little until by Saturday..........
I'm calling it- UPSET AT Texas Tech!!!!!
I wanna link to *******MY POST******* in the TT thread!! I don't know how.
This is all I have:

I heard this on the pregame radio intro Saturday afternoon (Matt Davison?). He said the players actually do have time to read what is being posted on message boards ....
Holy pooparooni! This means we're going to have to start using bad grammar and spelling wrong!!

"I think everything has changed over the past decade. There is no personal accountability for anything anymore. This is a direct reflection of our great country. We hand out ribbons to every kid no matter win or lose. The government bails out big business and gets nothing in return. The two turds running for President can’t have a debate with out it turning into a finger pointing match and blaming the other party for the crap we are in. Safe Haven Laws, welfare, affirmative action, people suing McDonalds because they choose to eat 5 Big Mac’s a day, Super Sized and go sit on the coach for 5 years then balloon into a Semi Truck, celebrities getting out of crimes because of their fame, and so on and so on. People are taught from a very young age that as long as you have an excuse then it is not YOUR fault."
Yeah. Sad, but yeah.
Not 100% of the kids nowdays, but it is the prevailing attitude I've noticed.
How to turn that around? If anyone can do it it's Pelini. But I did notice that he is quoted as shouldering the blame for the blowout to the Missouri Garfields.
Should he have done tlhat?

I actually think it will help this team to go on the road. They could use a chip on their shoulder and might as well go hell-deep into the pit of adversity.
Man do I agree with THAT.
And my hope is that it lasts for four quarters.

Come on ...this isn't some big faceless Nebraska conglomerate or corporation. These are KIDS. Sure, they represent the University of Nebraska...but they're still KIDS.
Kids lose sometimes...that's life....and putting a lot of undeserved pressure on them doesn't make winning any easier.
Have some patience and let them learn how to win.
Good way to put it, "..let them learn how to win."
Our kids have been taught how to lose by the previous regime, not intentionally of course,
just by virtue of strange coaching and even stranger recruiting practices (for Nebraska).

This Tiger fan is glad the whole thing is over. Thank you Husker fans for being very hospitable to my friends and family who made the trip. Everyone had a great time interacting with Fans in red.
We have decided to make it a tradition to go to the game in Lincoln every two years.
Nice of you to post that.
Welcome to Lincoln, and we hope we beat you every two years.

Welcome to the board. Actually this thread is where you tell about yourself, husker fan, etc.
GBR
I should have read more in here. Thanks for the welcome.
There seems to be a lot of humor all over this board. I'm glad of that!
I live in Lincoln. Husker fan!! I'm 99 years old. Wife is 19. We have
no kids. Hate kids. Well, except for her.
