Reports range from 5 to 15 dead. Started off as a fire only, and they evacuated the building leaving fire fighters and other first responders in the immediate area. The explosion happened and they believe the fatalities will be the volunteer fire fighters that were fighting the fire.

In my opinion excessive suspension on Payton. I guess he won't have to worry about this being an issue that happens again. Should have hit them harder financially make the money go into the medical fund for retired players.

I was hoping for pictures with this article.
I settle for some MS paint drawings.

Need some more information to help you out. The who, what, where, when, and why.
We should be able to point you in a direction.

I hear you it used to be a more like edgy and fun. Now it's like he wants to be hard sports news hitting only scandals never covering the old material like women, sports spoofs etc.
I think he cashed in and no longer has any creative control.

Kings.......we must be showing our age. Betcha 75% of the board has no clue.

We catch hecklers all the time lol.. Last year when I did my fall ball baseball team we were the Huskers and got some looks.
I get those here in Austin too, but since the ags and the whorns have had some drama it has taken some of the venom out of them.
My son wears a "Fear the Corn shirt" to his elementary school all the time.

Not to hijack the thread or anything, but I'm more curious to see if what I heard about Phil Fulmer going to Kansas is true, rather than whatever happens to Gill. First Mangino, now Fulmer...is there some surplus of wicked cheap buffets in Lawrence or somthing?
The crowd in the background put this on another level.
Hey they have plenty of tents clothing that would fit Fulmer in their storage room.

In a word........ awkward.

I am sure that Carl was hoping to get a chance at a Head Coaching spot. Not sure FAU is a great move, but he must think it is time for him to take a shot, and to try to climb the ladder. I wish him the best and hope more doors open for him in his future.
GBR!
I actually think it might be a pretty good move. If they are really bad (I have no idea about them) then realistically, no one will expect a huge turnaround, so that pressure is not overly intense. But if he can make them show substantial improvement and possibly be competetive, his stock will take a dramatic leap.
By the way, where is FAU located?
FAU is in Boca Raton, and they just started their football program in 2001.
It is a small program and it maybe challenging to get recruits, but if he has success he will get better opportunities at other programs. If they didn't have a down year on defense this season I think he would have had a better shot at a better program.

I'm thankful that there are still folks on this board that believe in our team. They still believe that Nebraska can be nationally relevant, that Nebraska can still win conference and national championships, can still be winners. I'm thankful that when our boys graduate from UNL they can hold their heads high. Most will have graduated with high academic honors and will have played football at one of the most respected universities in the United States.
Couldn't agree more!!

For not being a TM bashing it sure isn't full of compliments. To quote Coach Bo, "You point your finger at others....but your thumb points back to you." It wasn't one guy with problems, it was a group of players with problems.
To many dropped balls, turnovers, and no momentum killed the last game. I think that we open up they playbook for Iowa, and get some rotation to stay fresh we can put points on the board.

I am curious to see what kind of staff he will be able to put together....I don't see him hitting the ground running his first year out.

Apparently she was a he at one time.....apparently very confused.
Will Rex be a steal?

I think you could compare Rex to Danny Woodhead. Woodhead signed as a free agent out of Chadron in 2008. Rex has a better shot of being drafted just by all the exposure he has had.
