One reason I don't give Watson a lot of heat anymore is because I have read plenty of articles from years past criticizing Osborne for these same things: refusing to not run the ball late in a game when down.

 

I also realize that if a play works, everyone loves you. If it doesn't, everyone is upset about it. It's time to change coordinators (offensive or defensive) when a serious lack of execution is recurring (a la 2007). Right now, Watson does just enough to keep his job and has full confidence from Bo. He's not going anywhere unless he gets offered a job to head coach somewhere semi-respectable.

 

As far as Martinez is concerned, I expected as much from him. I'm sure he'll be fine. Sometimes you just have to sit back and take everything in.

 

Bingo.....Saturday was pretty tough to watch the offense though. Really wished we would have thrown more on 1st and 2nd down when they KNEW we were going to run.

 

 

 

I am not sure the pistol formation did Martinez any favors in trying to make the right reads. That close to the line of scrimmage you better be quick!!

If players see the comments made by posters on this board, I hope they take anything negative as a challenge to improve. A loss always brings out negatives on the Board, however we still have positives and still are hopeful to move on supporting every player and Coach on the Team. I think lessons are learned by players, coaches, and even fans each week and we encourage the members of the Board to keep up their support.

Most Texas fans again are placing their hopes on their defense keeping them in the game. They believe they can try to confuse Martinez and try to get turnovers to stay in the game. As I previously posted they want to try to have Nebraska throw the ball to beat them.

 

Ball control and a balanced offense we will wear them down.

I am here in Austin flying my Husker Flag, and a lot of Horns fans are letting me know that I am #1. (wish they wouldn't use their middle finger when they do )

 

I am hearing that Texas Defense is going to try to take away Martinez ability to run, taking a page from South Dakota. They think they have an opportunity to win if they make Martinez pass the ball.

 

I think if we spread the ball around, and use play action we will move the ball on their defense. They really struggle on offense and have difficulty being consistent I don't think they will be able to put many points on the board.

I told this ago, but I type at high word per minute or real low and still can have some bad spell"s. So I go fast and no care on my part.Some time I have lot"s to do so need to get away and deal with chore or wife, ok?

 

I took time on this for good and still got wave under ok so this is will need a top MOD or ADMIN to fix.

 

When pencil and paper used I can tell you how you need a squnet and frown and tilt head to make out what I did. So be ok with this web"s.

My preference is a QB that can get the ball in the end zone. Right now I think a dual threat guy is what Bo would like to develop for this offense. Run the ball until the defense loads the box than pass the ball deep.

I have a hard time trusting the conspiracy theories which rely on interpretation of a coach's or staff member's feelings about a person. In the last few months we have things like:

 

1) Lee is in Bo's doghouse. Without someone hearing directly from Bo that he has a grudge against Lee, which I very much doubt anyone has heard, this is an interpretation of a situation, not a fact.

2) Watson and Bo aren't on the same page regarding which offense to run. Circumstantial evidence makes this easy to believe, but it's still circumstantial. This is probably the easiest to believe, but then again, we have to guess a little, too.

3. Watson would have started Lee. Unless you're in the coaches meetings you can't know this. It's highly unlikely that anyone posting here is a coach or an assistant. If you are, and you're posting about stuff that's being discussed in these meetings, you're likely not going to have a job much longer.

4. Joey Ganz doesn't like Lee. Again, without Ganzy telling someone, "I don't like Lee," this is speculation. Maybe somebody is around these guys and body language/nonvocal communication makes it obvious, but this also likely boils down to someone's interpretation of a situation, and therefore it is not fact.

 

I have no doubt that members of our board have greater than typical access to the team, and that some of you guys are discussing things you've heard from staff, players, or heard first-hand. But you all know you cannot provide evidence of what you know, which makes it really hard for those of us who don't have your access to fully buy into everything that's being said.

IMO Lee is not the flashy play maker that Martinez is and Bo wants the ball in the hands of the play maker. No doubt Lee has the skills needed to manage the game, and would be able to do the job if called on.

Jerry knows how to build a Stadium, maybe I paid a little more but my seats were great in the corner of the endzone about 25 rows up. I had gone up in the next tier to talk with a buddy his seats weren't terrible except he was around alot of ornagebloods . Parking wasn't bad and I was out of Arlington and on the road in less than 30 minutes.

Roxy....I agree with BRI definitely call and get Police and CPS involved. If you get any concerns call and give them a report. Repeated calls for service may result in the Police contacting the Landlord to present them with the issues. Some cities have ordinances about Maintaining a disorderly house, where the authorities can cite the Landlord if he doesn't take civil action to control his tennants. You can make a difference!!

I am sure some other Board members will back me up when I say this happens way to often, and the parent(s) usually don't get caught. In this case I see HHS/CPS making her do parenting classes, and the kid will be placed with a relative and mother will have the kid back in less than 30 days.

 

Maybe she will think twice before doing it again, because she knows someone is going to watch her and turn her in.

I am hoping the Swat Team had Intel telling them that there was a dog, and Kid(s) that were also in the house. It's hard to make a decision when you have just seconds or less and now they will pay a price if a judge/jury sees fit. Drug warrants are tough I hope they have a good case especially since they just had a knock an announce warrant.

Nothing compares to winning the battle on the line of scrimmage where the Huskers wear down the other team. I agree Boyd Epley changed college athletics by introducing strength & conditioning to improve all athletes abilities in whatever sport they played.

I understand he wants to try to play at the next level, but how many teams draft a kicker? Don't most kickers try out as free agents and then get signed? Henery might be an exception since he is also punting, and may help with making room on a salary cap.

I have been following the wrongful termination of Leach and is looking like Tech will be paying Leach alot of money. Donations are down after he was terminated and it has now caused cutbacks throughout the University. Craig James is getting thrown under the bus and this might hurt his standing at ESPN.

 

James demanded that Leach be fired or he was going to sue Tech. Adam James also stated he was placed in a room and told to stay there, instead Adam went to an electrical closet attached to that room and used his phone to video tape himself. The two videos were released anonymously on you tube have been found to have been done by a PR firm hired by Craig James to help bolster the feud.

 

With depositions going on both sides are firing back and forth at each other and it is making them all look bad. IMO Leach is going to get a huge amount of money just to go away so that Tech can move on.
