Guys, forgive me, I have been in mourning since the end of the game and have not watched any of the replays. My recollection is that we did not run any misdirection. Again, I am trying to block out last Saturday so I may be/ probably am wrong.
It seemed they were using that motion man against us to free up Gilbert to run. I would think that if you had Burkhead in a receiver position and brought him in motion towards the center of the line at the snap, that would be another read the defense would have to make and it may slow them down a bit. Granted, it may slow us up a bit as well.
But that additional element would allow Burkhead and Helu to be options in the run game as well as play action pass. That may also help Martinez with his reads of the defense. Just a couple of thoughts. Now I am going to go back and try and figure out which College Football God (who champions Texass) we upset all those many seasons ago.

I would hate to see a change to the helmets. However, I would like to see the all red uniforms. I remember the game in 1986 verse Oklahoma when we wore those jerseys and I thought they looked cool!

No one should have to watch their child suffer! I hope and pray that we see an announcement in a few months that the doctors are sure this young man will beat this disease. All prayers and wishes to the Cosgrove family!

I'm looking forward to seeing the look of frustration on Gabbert's face. After the fifth sack I imagine he will spend a moment on the turf asking himself, "Why did I choose to be a target and not a teammate of these guys?"

Seems like not many agree, but I thought the all red jerseys were great! The all white jerseys seem to have a practice squad quality to them. If they never wore all white again I would be pleased. As far as the upcoming season is concerned, I would love to see all red for 10.16.10!

Would calling this play the "Crazy Horse" be politically incorrect?

I love Lincoln, but I wish I was teeing it up in San Diego the next couple of days as the wife and I wait for the game! I hope Suh tees off on the Arizona offense.

Just listened to the Broncos give up to the Raiders. please someone tell me why do Def. Cos. call off the dogs and not send five or six on third or fourth and long? This lay back and get picked apart Cosgrovian strategy just kills me!

What a nice gesture Notre Dame fan. I was in Indiana last weekend for the Colts/Broncos game. My son is a big Colts fan and I am a life long Broncos fan and this was our Christmas gift to our son. While in Indiana I wanted to go to South Bend, but we didn't have the time. But the trip got me thinking.
Suppose Missouri leaves for the Big 10. And I know there are million$ of reasons why Notre Dame would not want to do this, but imagine if Notre Dame joined the Big 12 North. Would that not be a blockbuster move that would catapault the Big 12 way over SEC, PAC-10 and all others? Again, I know it won't happen, but as we drove from Indy to Lincoln, I was daydreaming about:
Nebraska vs Notre Dame each fall
Notre Dame vs Texas or OU each fall
The money and the interest would be staggering. And before we talk geography, look at ASU vs Washington. Or any conference game Hawaii plays. Heck look at the distance between Boulder and College Station.
I just know how excited the series we had with Notre Dame was in 2000 and 2001. I would really like to see that again. Anyway, I know this will not happen, but since football is all but over and it is going to be a long winter, a guy can dream.
Again very cool gestue on the part of Notre Dame fan.

I hope that they offer the job to Fedora, Holtze or anyone besides Turner Gill. That is said out of the deepest respect for Turner Gill. I want to see Gill go to a school out of the Big 12. That way I can cheer for his school and the Huskers. I bet Cincinatti will be calling him soon!

Can Gomes play Wide Receiver? He may have some of the best hands on the team. At least he seems to want the ball more than anyone else on the field.

Personally, i am more focused on what the Scarlet and Cream girls are wearing.

Was that a corn dog cobbing that tiger? That is the funniest thing I have ever seen.

Having Missouri win 31 to 21 would be a complete shock. Three touchdowns for Nebraska with no contributions from Alex Henry is just something I don't see happening. Nebraska will get the TDs but you have to figure that some of the stops that you are talking about on 3rd down will result in Pelini sending in Henry for two to three field goals. The kid has ice in his veins. I see Nebraska taking this one 30 - 24.

Don't forget the Clipping on the punt return against Colorado in the 1989 "Do it for Sal" Bowl in Boulder.

I think in the first few days after the win at Missouri, the victory is going to seem sweet. However, we will begin to question Missouri more and more after October wears on. Following the game with Nebraska, Missouri goes to Okie State on the 17th and I have a tough time seeing them beat the pokes. Then they come back to Columbia and face the Longhorns. No way do I see them beating Texas. At that point they would be 4-3 when they head to Boulder. After those three beatings, who knows how Missouri would fare in Boulder.
As for me, a victory in Columbia is sweet no matter how Missouri's season plays out. And on a side, I hope I am wrong and Missouri beats Okie Lite and Texas. But I just see Missouri's October schedule being too tough and the results diminishing our win in Columbia in the national perception. (If there is one.)

I think the Blackshirts should be handed out after the Missouri game. The shirts should be handed from the players on defense to their position coaches. And the blackshirts they hand over should be the torn, tattered and soiled black home jerseys they just took from the defeated Missouri Tigers!

what, no Nebraska jokes?
What does a 12 year old Nebraska girl say when she loses her virginity?
"Get off, Daddy! You're crushing my smokes!"
What does a 12 year old Missouri boy say when he loses his virginity?
"That'll do pig. That'll do."

General consensus is that Nebraska will win by at least three touchdowns. Most realized that even showing up for the game would be a futile waste of time. Missouri is overmatched, undercoached, and destined for a 6-6 season. They came to the realization that the Illinois win was indeed on par with a Bowling Green win due to the quality of the opponent. They also realize that Nebraska has been, is, and always will be the top North program, regardless of the occasional blips in the W-L column.
It's a sad sight, really.
Dude - you need to put down the crack pipe, the bugeaters haven't done s**t for years. Your grandkids may be alive to see another BCS bowl for the Nub's but you won't.
Ya gotta love the ability to block a troller like catmanzou. This twelve year old kid loves to run his mouth. I bet if your mom saw that you are cussing on the internet you'd get grounded.
Don't bother with a comment on this catmanzou, because if you are any older than what I just determined, you should be ashamed of yourself because you sound like a damn moron.
I find it quite hilarious how the legacy of Missouri fans (with exception to a few, a few of the excepted are on this board) is following the path of Colorado fans. ALL that you guys care about is if you beat Nebraska on any given year.... that's it. Don't get yourself so cocky there guys... remember that the 93-23 whooping you have laid on us the past two years came because of two reasons. The 41-6 win you had in Columbia 2 years ago was during the WORST YEAR IN HUSKER HISTORY! Don't think that because you did that that any other team in the country couldn't have. And last year, was a young team struggling to find it's identity just coming off the worst year in husker history!...... If you think that it won't be more of a contest this year, then you are in for a BIG surprise.
Oh... and once again, thank God I can block this douchebag.
Dude...this is the biggest collection of Kool-Aid drinkers around.
Catmanzou has put out some educated posts.
Mizzou doesn't base it's season on a Nebraska beat down.
It's Kansas.....that's where our TRUE rivalry lies.
Get your facts straight.
Having been on Tiggerboard a few times I can tell you they consume an equal amount of kool-aid. Like others have said, the vitriol and venom on there is almost Coloradoesque. I am actually glad some of the more mature Mo fans seem to come to Huskerboard. They bring some logic to ther posts as well as love for Missouri. You get a glimpse of the Missouri fan base without having to go into the snakepit that is Tiggerboard.
On a side, I want to say Huskerboard is the best forum I have seen. If you look at Netbuffs or Tiggerboard, they are nowhere near as functional as Huskerboard and the look of the forum is just better. I know I am a Husker fan but to me the layout and color scheme here is just better.

How about letting the player put a statement on that spot like, "HE HATE ME?"

Its great to see Rob doing well. I was on the football team with Rob at Shawnee Mission South in high school. He was certainly the team clown but also a pretty good player as well.
