  1. Hell show a pair of balls Pelini & go for it. We need a f**king TD here

This is why you're posting on an Internet forum and not coaching. Michigan backup QB in. Defense looks good. Up by 1 at home. And you want to complain that Bo doesn't go for it...l\

Yes, I'm well aware that I'm not qualified to coach a D1 college football team. I dont need u to tell me that. Thanks

On the bright side, you could announce this game and do better than these clowns.,

  2. What does everyone think of our first half performance?

    C+

Too many penalties, not enough pressure on qb, not rolling with passing game since it seemed to be working.

The lack of pressure on Robinson looked like a direct result of his ability to run. Everyone is so keyed in on staying home that they weren't generating pressure. It's actually not a bad plan since you're much rather make Robinson beat you with his arm rather than his legs. Look at the difference when that backup QB came in. There was plenty of pressure then.

  3. What does everyone think of our first half performance?

Impressed with the D with the exception of the stupid penalties. Offense showed flashes of brilliance on the TD drive but our running game is not working right now

I'm not sure why the play calling has been so conservative except for that drive. It's been run, run, pass on 3rd and long every series except for the one we scored on. The D definitely turned in a great half.

  4. Any word on Denard from the radio men?

    Sprained vagina.

It was actually just a slight tear

That happens to my girlfriend every once in a while.

I went to a birthday party once where a guy having sex with his wife for the sixth time pulled his scrotum. Thankfully, there was a quasi-doctor on hand.

The amazing part is not that he pulled his scrotum. It's that he was having sex with his wife.

  5. I agree with the no timeout call. After the punt we'd get the ball back with maybe 30 seconds to go and a long field. Our QB just got hurt and could use the extra time to recover. We are a mistake prone team on offense anyway and don't need to give up points when we get the ball to start the next half.

Yeah, but even if our offense can't do anything, it gives Abdullah a chance to return one. You never know.

I think I agree with this. Abdullah is dangerous in the return game. Then again, the last thing we need is for him to get hurt, too...

I think the fumble last week affected him. He's calling for a lot of fair catches where it looks like he actually has some room to run.

  6. I can't remember where I say the report, but if I remember correctly, there wasn't any higher risk of getting injured returning a kick as there was on any other play. If that's the case, why not put AA back there and let him do what he does when he gets a little space.

  7. Garbage call from a ref who didn't see the ball was loose 50 yards down the field, and that really didn't even matter because we were the team punting the ball. Stafford simply pushed the guy in the back, knocking him to the ground. Last I checked this is football, and the only time that is called is when it's blocking in the back, which in this case could only have been called on a N'Western player.

On the replay, I think it was more the way he made the contact. By extending his arms like he did, it looked like a punch to the back. I'm not saying he actually did, but I can see how a ref watching that play sees a guy who should be running down field to get to the actual play instead looks like he's punching the guy in front of him. There was no advantage to Stafford for doing that 30 yards from the play. Players need to know not to even give the ref the opportunity to misinterpret their actions in a situation like that.

  8. Have been a tmart supporter but ive got to be honest he's not a very smart QB. Several times today he did something that wasn't smart and this usually kills us in big games(see osu rewind). I'm also sick of seeing him run like a woman now. The coaches have completely taken that skill away from him. Yes I realize this might not be his fault.

That said, you are correct in saying he hit some big passes down the stretch. no one can doubt his desire but I'm starting to doubt other things about our QB.

Tmart is not a big guy so I wouldn't expect him to run someone over. I expect him to run around people but I'm kind of glad he's more of a straight line runner rather than trying to make a lot of cuts. I've seen B. Miller injur himself twice - last year against us and this year's MSU game. Tmart's the horse we need to ride so whatever it takes not to get hurt. I agree he made a couple of questionable throws but I believe there were a couple of times he didn't make a bad throw and took a sack. I see improvement in the decision making.

TM's biggest problem running is how upright he runs. It leaves him open to getting absolutely hammered if he doesn't fall down on his own. Every year he takes some viscous hits because he's so straight up when running. It's happened this year as well.

His decision making is leaps and bounds better than last year. That QB coaching he got clearly has helped. I think having more confidence in his accuracy has also helped his decision making. Last year, at the first sign of trouble he would do that tuck the ball, hunch your shoulders and dance around until you fall to the ground thing. This year he's doing a much better job of keeping his head up and looking to make a play. Honestly, the only really boneheaded play was that throw when he was trying to avoid the safety. How many times do you see plays like that turn 2 points into 7? Besides that play, I thought the guy was solid and he made some fantastic throws in the 4th. Not only is his accuracy better this year, I think he's getting significantly more velocity on the ball.

  9. Pretty sad when we have to devote a whole thread to pat a starting Blackshirt (god that phrase sounds wrong-- the whole concept of starting and backup Blackshirts) on the back for not underachieving and doing what he should do anyway.

    Actually, it's a refreshing change.
