I would like to see Scott Frost back wearing scarlet and cream, not necessarily as OC but in some capacity. As for Watson's replacement (hypothetically speaking) I hope it is someone who uses the "I" as a base formation. Let Watson take the spread with him WHEN he goes.

I don't put much stock in Scout at all. Todd McShay does a good job but that is after these guys have 3 to 4 years in college.
I'm pretty sure Todd McShay and ESPN are affiliated with Scouts Inc. Scout is run by Fox Sports.

Player: Delvin Jones
Hometown: Miami, FL
Position: Athlete/DE
Height: 6'6
Weight: 230
40 Time:
Visit Date: None
Scholarships: Tennessee, Alabama, Arkansas, Mississippi, Nebraska, USC, Florida, LSU, Michigan, Oregon
Favorites: Decommitted from Tennessee after Lane Kiffin's departure
Rivals: 4 star
Scout: 4 star
I was watching Scott Van Pelt and ESPN had a feature about the fallout of Kiffin's departure. I was surprised to see Jones had the Huskers in his top four. Searched for him on the board and found nothing, sorry if this is a repeat of an old post. The kid looks like a good athlete went to Palmetto High.
No. 7 on this video. http://insider.espn.go.com/ncf/recruiting/...cruitId%3d75954

The decommits keep coming at the USAA. Were we in with any of these kids?

off topic but did anyone else see Lou Holtz put us in the top 5 for next year? not that means much but
Really? What show was it on? I saw CFL today and Robert Smith had Nebraska five, but Lou Holtz wasn't on.
I saw that as well, not that it means squat but I love that we are in the conversation again.

Texas. Until we get past this hex that falls on us everytime we play them, Texas is the hardest game.

It is what it is, it is a high stress high reward, high PAID occupation. If he wins 2 national titles, a la Meyer, I would be more than happy to grant coach a hiatus. Kind of putting the cart before the horse at this point.
-
Blue? If he can get back in the rotation, big if. He looked good in kick coverage though.
-
No I absolutely do not root for Texas in this game or any other.
Texas and all their fans can get bent, you think you deserve your own TV station, get off your high horse. BTW one more title and the Horns are tied with the Huskers for second most titles in the conference, why would I root for them? ROLL TIDE!!

Here is a highlight reel from a Ohio prep website. This guy has breakaway speed, and I love seeing that he runs predominantly from the I formation.

Welcome Ciante. There is no place like Nebraska.
-
Martinez might get more of a look @ QB than people initially thought. Just speculation on my part.

There was a story in the LJS with a link to this article: http://chronicle.com/temp/reprint.php?id=y...98gz7r24s1fjbvg . They mention in the article that Nebraska was the big winner with a 9.89-point edge.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think he ever redshirted, so could he transfer D-1 and use his redshirt and still have one year left to play?
-
I apologize...talk about a bad topic to argue about, sorry it got off topic. I would like to see what he can do @ safety. ESPN seems to think he is in the mold of a John Lynch

Sorry, Clemson wasn't significantly faster than us. Q about outran one of the CBs. So, do black people suck at a kicking? Generally suck at QB? How do you explain those?
Last time I checked Q is also a black man, and Clemson was surprised at his speed and took the wrong angle. They were out coached but generally had better athletes across the board. The ACC/SEC has been recognized for years for their inferior talent. In responce to the kicking and qb comments, I have no idea what you are talking about. Try to put a full sentence together.

Its a slow time of year until spring ball, so I thought this might be interesting.
Most NU fans remember Tommie Frazier missed 8 regular season games due to blood clots, but then was able to return and play in the Orange Bowl. Maybe some aren't aware that NU applied for a medical hardship for Frazier that year. They found out just before the Orange Bowl game vs Miami that the NCAA turned it down, because he played in to many games.
Now the what if - had he played in fewer games and received another year, I assume then that the decision would of had to be made on whether or not to play Frazier in the Orange Bowl and lose that extra year. If he had not played would the Husker have beaten the Canes?? If Tommie would have then been able to play in 1996 would Nebraska have lost the ASU game or the Big 12 Champ. Game vs Texas??
That would have been SWEET!

New rivals teaser on this kid. Nice to be in early on him with Cal and Washington being his only other BCS offers. 6'3 with a 35" vertical is impressive.
