1) What are your first impressions of this recruit (speed, strength, character, leadership, grades, etc)? Speed, Speed, Speed. That is something that NU has gotten away from on the defensive side for a while and SO will cure that problem.

2) Rank his importance to the Huskers 1-10 (10 the most important). 10 because the depth that we had a LB was not very good. This is an immediate upgrade at the position from someone with some actual playing experience

3) Will he contribute right away? In what capacity?Yes and he will be starting. Hopefully in a D. Williams or T. Farley mold. LB are just instictive and he already has the size to make a difference. I have wanted for the last 10 years to have a LB corp in the mold of the Fla St. and Miami LB and this group is just that.

4) Who does this player most remind you of?No one really that has been at NU. Most of the former NU LB's that were this fast for 6'0 200lbs. Maybe more of a Torrence Marshall from OU a couple of years ago.

5) Where do you see this player in 2009? In the NFL

The LB's that NU got are a perfect fit. Moore, Dillard Covey and Octavian are all big and fast. You will see a different defense in Lincoln the next couple of years. A great one.

Granted New England needs secondary help. I have a hard time seeing that happen.

1995 K-State at Nebraska when Mike Rucker completely crushed a KSU player on a punt return. The KSU players helmet flew about 15 yard. That was one of the hardest hits I have ever seen.

Bo is Bo! I guess that is good in a way in that you see what you get. I also is one of his greatest weaknesses. To be a head coach you need to bite you tounge some times and realize that you need to move on.

It is hard to bash a kid for going anywhere he wants. I know the qb from Crieghton Prep maybe has an opprotunity to go to Princeton. Wow how could you not jump at that chance.

I guess I have a hard time understanding silent commits. If you want to commit jsut do it. If you were a school who hosted one of these "silent commits" wouldn't you feel jammed. For that matter, if a guy is a silet commit why would he take additional visits?
