  1. Co-signed baby! Although the ISU and VT game still burn me because our record would look so much better without those losses and we were close to winning them both, I am still happy and PROUD of where our team is at. It's great to be a part of Husker Nation :)

  2. Don't worry we may march it down the field on the last drive for the win and then we will get a key hold, and then a perosnal foul, and then Cody will be inserted into the game and then he will throw a pick to seal the deal.

    I hope you're right.

  3. If texas wins out they will likely be at the national title game. which would give the fiesta to osu. then we would get the next best bowl..which would be holiday correct? which is a bowl of more prestige, cotton or holiday?

I believe the Cotton Bowl is of more prestige. Could be wrong though.

  4. What about Ganz going off (even if it was Callahan's shameless last ditch effort to save his job) and us putting up 73 one week after having 76 put up on us.

That's probably my favorite because we were having the worst season in school history and we still destroyed them :)

  5. wow i'm really surprised no one knows where it comes from. This isn't an answer, but a little googling revealed this:

"For as long as anyone can remember, the Huskers have touched a lucky horseshoe on their way from the locker room to the field. The horseshoe hangs above the double doors that open into the tunnel, and it has hung there since the South Stadium locker room opened before the 1973 season. Prior to 1973, during coach Bob Devaney’s tenure, the horseshoe hung above a door near the north locker room. When the team moved to its new air- conditioned quarters, players persuaded Coach Tom Osborne to allow them to relocate the horseshoe. Captains John Dutton and Daryl White hoisted teammate Bob Thornton, who put the horseshoe in its current place. Osborne, who had just succeeded Devaney as coach, agreed that the horseshoe should be moved. He wasn’t superstitious, he said, but he figured the players didn’t want UCLA, the opening-game opponent in 1973, to have the horseshoe’s luck. The Cornhuskers won, 40-13."

Guess our Huskers didn't touch it before the ISU game!

  6. Thing is, we're not playing spoiler. We're playing for the North.

Playing spoiler means we have nothing to lose personally. We have everything to lose. Unless I'm mistaken, we lose this game and they have the North wrapped up.

This game basically determines who will win the North. Win, and we baaasically have it. Lose, and we DEFINITELY do not. I'm sure Bo and our players realize that. We have so much to play for.

Exactly, I could care less about KSU's bowl chances. Nebraska has to go take care of business in Lincoln and then again in Boulder for this season to be successful. Then we'd really get to play a true spoiler by upsetting Texas in the Big 12 title game :):koolaid2:

  7. Until I read a quote from Reesing dissing the Blackshirts, I'm going to chalk this up to Rivals trying to spin a comment to sell me a subscription. Reesing isn't an idiot, and he knows what he's up against. I doubt seriously that he would spout off about Suh and Co. like this implies he did.

Idk if he remembers what he's up against actually after they knocked him silly last year!

  8. My hatred for KSU is on par with my hatred for Colorado, after living in Kansas most of my life dealing with them on a fair weather basis was not pleasant. KSU has the MOST fair weather fans I've ever encountered.

  9. I haven't gotta see KU much this year, how's the oline playing?

HORRIBLE. Looking for at least 8 sacks from your front 4, propably 2-4 from you LB's. So 12 sacks and probably two dead QB's. This season has been a long season.

LOL! Trust me all of Husker Nation is feeling the same way about our offense.

  10. Did anyone else see how Pelini went off on Watson after the Lee/Helu fumble? I think Pelini knew we had 3 points in the bag with the field position and did not like that pitch call (neither did I).

I would've been unleashing fury on them as well, especially Zac for that dumbass pitch, although Roy still should have caught it. Should have never been pitched in the first place.
