Your probably right. It seems it is perfect timing for Green to get the nod. We have ISU at home and a less than formidable Baylor club the next week. That would give Green an opportunity to get his feet wet before facing OU and KU.

 

I think Green gets PT, maybe even a lot of it.

 

but I'm guessing they start Lee.

Lee had his chance and is great against weaker sun belt teams, time to see what Cody Green can do.

I think he deserves to open the game not be the relief man

or the come save the day but won't call plays that put your talent to better use.

I still see us going 9-3 with one more loss to OU and winning the big 12 north not a bad season

Ah, if there's one thing we've learned, it's to base all our assessments wholly on the outcome of the previous game played.

Or ignore all the redflags that have been going up until you finaly have to admit theres a problem kinda like a defense that is almost last in everything two years ago.

That is pretty odd. I've run into people with NU gear on that may not be from Nebraska, or maybe a friend of theirs is the fan. But if the guy was wearing the hat and sweatshirt that seems a little weird because like yiou said anyone wearing that much gear is more than happy to rap Huskers. I know I have talked with complete strangers about NU on several occasions. Maybe the guy was just an A hole?

 

This story is not completely related, but I once had a guy approach me at a sears in Oklahoma, and comment on my Husker gear, and told me he was from Neb. Then I noticed he was wearing an OU shirt. So I looked at him quizically and asked "Your from Nebraska and your an OU fan?" You should have seen the look of shame on his face, priceless!

I manage a store and had a customer come in with a Hawkeye coat on. I tried starting a conversation about Hawkeye football. His response was; I really don't care about Iowa I just like the look of the coat. Why a big Bird on a leather coat looks cool is beyond me, but it shows not everyone wearing gear is a fan.

Or it could have a positive effect on recruiting. Kids will see that the offense is sputtering, and will recognize the opportunity for early playing time....

 

BTW, all of this gloom and doom after 1 piss-poor game is ridiculous. Sure our offense was horrendous this past week, but the coaches know that and I suspect that there will be a shakeup on the offensive side of the ball. I fully expect our offense to improve and mature over the course of these next 3-4 weeks.

It's not just one game It's every big game this offense has faced. Look back through the games and look what this offense has done just at home against Missou last year, Okie State the year before. I'm willing to bet that even solich terrible offense was scoring more against good defenses then this offense has done.
