  1. Put bananas in a brown paper bag with an apple. close tightly. bananas will ripen within 24-48 hours.

     

    Add 1 T. of vinegar to stews to tenderize the meat-you may have to up the seasoings to remove the vinegar flavor.

     

    Each and every box of aluminum foil and Saran Wrap has a little triangular shaped notch at each end that you are supposed to push in to lock your roll of foil into place.

     

    When you have to spray a pan or dish with Pam or another other type of non-stick spray, open the dishwasher and hold the pan/dish over the opened door and spray.

     

    That way, any overspray doesn’t end up on your floor or countertops.

     

    If you burn a something in a pan, put baking soda in it with a little water and put it on the stove and let it cook for about 10 minutes.

     

    NEVER WASH CAST IRON COOKWARE IN SOAP..IT WILL MAKE ALL YOUR DISHES TASTE LIKE SOAP!! JUST SOCK IT IN WATER AND WIPE DRY WITH A PAPER TOWEL.

  2. i love cooking sandwiches this way, sometimes i like to cook the toppings too(not the lettuce). its mighty tasty.

     

    in high school i worked in a deli, and we had a pizza oven. so on break we'd always try out diff. deli meats and cheeses on our sandwiches and slide em' through the pizza oven. good stuff.

     

    everything tastes better toasted IMO
