Ganz and Daniel both with the Skins...how intersting. I don't really think either of them will do much for this team.

T.J. Walz is pitching today for Kansas. I went to school with this kid for several years, so trust me when I say, he is pretty good. He beat us last year and he will probaly beat us again. Watch out for this guy. Anyway, as always, GO BIG RED!!!!!

Not bad...nice to hear about Hauptmann. That's what we need, some decent pitching.

I don't think firing Anderson will solve anything...yet. Give him a little longer...then we will see where we stand.

Anderson, Newman and Bingham should all be fired. Anderson is abusive and the other coaches don't dare stand up to him. Get any player alone and ask them off the record what they think and they will tell you Anderson is the most abusive coach who constantly degrades players. The players know that they actually have an extremely good team but they don't want to win for the coaches. If they win, the coaches look good. It is very hard for the players, they love their teammates and Nebraska but can't believe the coaches are allowed to do what they do to the players. If you think this year is bad, wait till next year. If some of the stuff that goes on ever hits the media, Nebraska might as well get out of baseball. That would be a shame. Truly go talk to some players like I have. Make sure they know they will not be punished no matter what they say.

 

 

Great 1st post. Not. The players won't play bad just because it makes the coaches look bad.. They will play good because it'll improve their draft stock and improve their chances of getting the hell out of there early if that was the case... Good attempt but still a fail. And don't give me the "go talk to the players" bs because I've been there done that. Sure, there are individual players who don't get along with Anderson, but there are players who don't get along with every coach. Some of the best coaches of all time are not appreciated til they are gone.... Ben Schwartzwalder ring a bell?

Do you even try to grasp the idea that someone might know something you don't. It was my first post on this forum so that means what, I don't know what I am talking about? Like I said, ask All the players individually. Do you think they like having all their confidence stripped from them. Do you think they liked when Anderson made them stay awake on the bus till 4:00 am on there way back from Wichita. Only to get up and go to school that morning. Do you think they respect a coach who burns redshirts with 1/2 inning of play like its nothing. Do you think they like having a breakfast club (a torture session name) at 6:00 am in 9 degree weather outside in the snow in a T shirt and shorts rolling in the snow, then making them stand around listening to a speech while the coaches are in winter gear, then doing 100 yard sprints for an hour in that cold weather. Do you think that develops ballplayers or players that can't stand the coaches. If you want more stories go talk to the players. It is not the Individual players not getting along with Anderson. Its Anderson not knowing baseball and blaming all of what's happening on the players. Do you think that the pitching staff is bad or do you think that they are all hurting from coming into the season with hurt arms. Ask them. Were you at the banquet and did you ask the pitchers before the season how their arms were? The coaching staff is terrible, they train like a football team and it's baseball. They wear there players down Mentally and Physically and then wonder why they can't compete. One more thing as long as I don't know what I'm talking about. Look at their recruits and tell me they know baseball. Nebraska's best players are walk-ons, or players that came here from someone elses doings.

I'm not gonna disagree with you here because I don't know if any of this is true. I'm not saying it isn't, but are you a reliable source? How do you know all of this is true?

I cannot name exactly when they happened. I do not remember the inning or situation. I simply remember a ball being hit in Farst's direction and he wasn't able to make the play.

Wow.. Hello... Tyler FARST had one bad game defensively and he's getting ripped on? He has been solid all year... He slipped a couple of times... Once was when he changed directions very quickly and could very easily happen to anyone... BMAC - Kept letting runners? Two times he slipped he made the play... As in.. the runner didn't reach base..... Kline isn't playing that great... He'll bounce back... He's only a sophomore.... Simo went through struggles also early in his career....

 

 

And 55... If Anderson was simply running the same line-up out there every day you would be complaining that they are struggling because he isn't changing it up.. There is nothing he can do to satisfy someone like you... And guess what? When you have multiple people that can play the same position successfully and well for that matter, you have to give people a chance to play... Sullivan, Belfonte, Bailey, Cooper, Collins... All need a chance to play in the OF... Mort/Asche.. Both need to play at 3rd... Cade Thompson needs to see some time, you aren't going to take Farst out of the line-up consistently so you move him to DH or put Thompson at DH? Then Tezak you want at 2nd because he's your most disciplined bat in the line-up.. That forces you to choose between Kline and Bubak at 2nd... Bubak with the better bat but Kline with the better glove... Anderson is doing just fine.. If you really think he should stick with one line-up... What should it be?

This is true, but there were also at least 2 times when they runner reached base and should not have.

I was at the Saturday game against TX and was very disappointed in the defensive play of Faust and Kline just bad days at the ball park I guess! Faust may need new cleats! I am not sure with Kline! Kline had a great year last year but seems a step late this year!

 

I am hopeful we can beat Iowa this week in the midweek game just to break the losing streak. If we dont the weekend series at TX AM could get very ugly.

 

I am wondering if Anderson should not just put a lineup on the field and stick with it? From one game to the next these kids have no clue whether they will be playing!

 

It is going to be a monumental task for these kids to make the Big 12 Tournament!

I was at the game too, and yes, it was very disappointing. Farst kept slipping, letting runners reach base that should not have. And Kline just couldn't get control of the ball a few times. At least those uniforms were cool!

I think we have a chance against Iowa. That would be a great one to win. I really hope this season doesn't end as badly as it could. Let's hang in there. GO BIG RED!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Huskers host #9 Texas this weekend. First game is tommaro, Thursday, at 6:05 pm. Friday is also at 6:05. Saturday's game is at 1:05pm. Thursday's game will be televised on NET and CBS College Sports.

This will most likely be a very painful series...

I could probaly pitch better than this. Actually, that's not really a good comparison because I'm a really good pitcher. My knuckleball is amazing. Anyway, this is really disappointing. We need to turn this around. I understand we may not be a post season team every year, but we at least need to finish strong.
