It really isnt Mack's fault that his second team could basically score at will as well. You could even see early in the third Texas had most first teamers out and took as much time as possible to call a play. Yet they still broke 20 yd runs, since they didnt pass, at will. Not Mack's fault

Texas will be the most difficult game on our schedule next year. They return 8 starters on offense including Vince Young, and just as many on defense... they will be much more difficult that USC next year.

Michigan is going to be a tough game... they have really underachieved this year. BC will have alot of time to prepare for this one, he could realistically pull this one off. GBR

They were also very good football players...and when you compare their talent to the problems they caused the scale isnt so one sided.

The two espn anaylsts that predicted the bowl game choices both had NU going against Iowa in the Alamo bowl.

Callahan better be more likely to use beck now that the redshirt was wasted... using beck for one game is not worth wasting his redshirt unless he had plans to bring him in teh rest of the year.

Yeah, that would make sense giving an extra year of scholarship if they are redshirted during their careers.

You said he has the speed to play FS, are you trying to say he's too slow to be a CB? In my opinion, he can play either spot, but shouldnt be switching around. the coaching staff needs to stick him in a spot and leave him there.

We need a throwback type coach, an old school one that wont take losing lightly, and force his players to succeed. BC just isn't this kind of coach. We were a smash-mouth type team, and BC is by no means a smash-mouth coach. I think a complete overhaul of the entire program is needed all the way from the AD to the towel-boys.

I say use it now... a bowl game means a possibly better recruiting class. Wearing the jersey could start the snowball effect rolling NU back to greatness.

We need a O line much more desperately than any position on D. OL play has been appalling at best. BC needs to address this situation this offseason.

too bad our line cant make holes like that... we need some high caliber OL recruits this year, it should be BC's first priority. That is if he's still the coach at NU.

Former is right, the FACTS say someone is to blame for this mess. Just a matter of who to blame.

We need an entire overhaul of the program, just as Miami did when it was about to put it's football program out of it's misery. We need a no-nonsense coach that will command respect from his players. A coach that isnt afraid to run up the score to show oppenents they should fear our offense. Then we turn to recruits, we need ATHLETIC talent. Go to the source... go after the big mamoth linemen out of texas and the super athletic skilled positions out of south florida, and a football smart qb out of Cali. There's my formula for success if we want to compete at the top of the NCAA again.

His injuries have nothing to do with his discipline of staying onsides... thats lack of preparation either in his discipline in practice or the coaches not staying on the kids in practice.

I saw we give Cally one more full season then the recruiting season, then cut him loose if no progress was made. If we get rid of him, be glad we kept him around for that extra recruiting class, cause so far he's proved decent in recruiting.

I think we should steal Butch Davis away from the NFL, he was one of the miami coaches that turned miami into one of the modern elite programs, then they hired coker and things went to hell.... but thats besides the point. I like the way Davis coached at miami, he could do great things for NU

I have to root for Texas in this one, because in my opinion they are the only team in the nation tough enough to take out USC. And id rather have Texas win it all than USC just to make the big 12 even tougher if we had defending national champions to play in next year's conference championship game. what an upset that will be...

Basically we need this guy, im not too sure about the hype but is he an overall better athlete than Bowman or a better corner? cause rivals said he played linebacker in HS which would mean athlete. We need more pure athletes that can play several spots. (AKA Devon Hester, Chris Gamble, Teddy Ginn)

Im not so sure about Baylor being an overall easier game than OU. For our sake i hope your right though.

I think our defensive players are fine, sometimes its the positions we are in. For example in the TT game, it was 4th and 2 and our corners gave a 8 yard cushion. TT proceeded to throw a 5 yard hitch for the first. We gotta play up on that, and the players gotta know stuff like that. then we will stop anyone.
