  1. Athens just got a Trader Joes...does Texas hate us too?

Omaha's Trader Joe's opened a few weeks ago. Lincoln's opens in a couple of weeks. Nebraska is almost like a real state now!

ok, this has to be a first for Texas. There is no Trader Joe's in Texas (that I know of) and we want one real bad. How is it that a town of 1 million and a town of 250K (Omaha, Lincoln) can get one and Houston or the rest of Texas can not? We have 4-5 million people living in this city and not a single Joe's in sight. Hell, Omaha (except employees at some insurance company) and Lincoln can't even get a Chick-Fil-A or a Whataburger. BTW- if you have never had Whataburger you are missing out!!!! BoB rules at breakfast and midnight and beyond.

We also are still waiting on Carl's Jr. but I hear those are coming real soon.

  2. I did the SRO ticket last year, was not to bad... the majority of people are in the endzones and the "line" is like 5-6 deep. Had up higher for a better view. The best thing about SRO tickets is you can roam around the entire stadium. Of course this year I got seats but if I did not I would get SRO tickets.

  3. Pelini could play two quarterbacks in Big 12 title game

    CBSSports.com wire reports

    Nov. 29, 2010

LINCOLN, Neb. -- Coach Bo Pelini doesn't know, or isn't saying, who'll be the starting quarterback when No. 13 Nebraska plays No. 10 Oklahoma on Saturday in the Big 12 Championship Game.

Backup Cody Green has started two games since Taylor Martinez sprained his right ankle against Missouri on Oct. 30. Martinez, who also has a turf toe injury on his left foot, didn't take a snap in last week's win over Colorado.

Pelini said Monday that Martinez's status is "day to day." He said it's possible both quarterbacks would play against the Sooners.

Green said he doesn't let the uncertainty bother him. He said he approaches each practice with the attitude that he'll be the starter the next game.

  4. I know one thing for sure (110%), Mizzou will be stuck in a crappy bowl again and there fans/AD/governor will bitch and moan about it. To that I say, travel better and have fun in the Texas 10.

As for NU, I think if West Virginia or UCONN win the Big East then they are Orange bowl bound. If it is Pitt then I think the bowls will have some thinking to do.

All we need to know is that if we win we are :bigredn: !!!!

  5. We will not be going to the Cotton bowl if we lose the CCG! Period end of story. The Cotton folks will not take us since we were just there about a month after the CCG. If ATM wins they will be in the Cotton, having won 6 games in a row or OU, if available. OU has not been to the Alamo nor the Holiday in quit sometime so that is where they will be if they lose to OSU.

If we lose the CCG Alamo or Holiday (i predict)

If we lose to CU, Insight bowl with an outside shot at Holiday/Alamo (far outside shot)

  6. I thought I could find an earlier posting on Martinez's health for this week...unsuccessful.

Does anyone know his "official status" for this tomorrow game? I know he is 100% but I want Pelini saying that he is back to the old Martinez!
