  1. The future is now!! :restore

He has great size and is very strong according to his fellow offensive lineman.. Cotton says he moves quite well for some one his size and does a real good job in pass protection also..He is running with the twos because of injuries and the number 2 player Meyer is running with the ones.. He appears to have a great deal of physical ability.. I also read where had a very high GPA in high school.. According to Cotton he has a alot of want to.. Sounds like he has a little fire in him.. One of the player says if he keeps devolping he could be special eventually..

  2. The World Herald mentioned that his knee is still bothering him, but it didn't sound like a big deal.

You are correct...The coaches dont want to take any chances untill they sure he is ready for contact..

  3. At least according to Rivals. If you read the OWH there was a kid visiting this weekend. .... IT would appear the kid visiting this weekend must have commited.

LINCOLN — Doc Sadler, Nebraska's nonstop recruiter, is getting a campus visit this weekend from a 6-foot-4 guard from Stone Mountain, Ga., who would be eligible to play immediately.

Sources with knowledge of the situation said Friday the prospect is Adrien Coleman, a three-star choice by rivals.com and Scout.com who originally signed with Alabama-Birmingham.

He met the NCAA admin standards but not UAB..

  4. These predictions are a trap. Everyone here in Huskerdom will have high expectations based on these predictions, then reality will set in and there will be grumblings for change if it does not pan out. Don't fall into it. There are some big question marks going into this year but I think Bo and the Boys are up for the job FOR THE LONG HAUL!! And don't forget I said IF it does not pan out. GBR

First of all unlike Nebraska, MOs defense at the end of last year was pathetic and KUs was as well.. Since they werent learning a new defense what was there excuse..

Except for the Dline last year NU was green as grass on D and learning a new scheme.. The huskers had one starter in the secondary at the start of last year that had actually started and very little depth.. The LBs were in the same boat. Dillard went down with an injury and Cody Glenn was suspended. This year the Huskers are in far better shape just in terms of depth and a years experience in the system now.. If Defense is going to be a factor and Bo thinks the D will be greatly improved.. I think NU has an edge here.

NU will be able to put a little more speed on defense this year too..

As far as the running backs are concerned... Helu is considered by many to be among the top backs returning in the conferance. There is no reason to think he wont.. Frankly NU did not have the whole sale losses on offense that MO did..

NU is loaded at TE and while they are not starting entirely from scratch at receiver either.. Granted Holt, Paul others will have to step up no doubt.. One thing I dont think can be over looked is the return of Christianson on the Oline.. He apears to be back in football shape. The coaches on counting on him.. The speed NU has on offense at some point is going to play a huge factor.. Watson said they are much faster this year. Actually he said they are faster than at any time since he has been at NU... It would seem the key perphaps is at QB.. Its going to come down to how Lee handles the intangibles.. Lee is a considered a great athlete. What he had/has to learn how to do is play with in the offense.

No one said its going to be easy.. but the Missouri writer is clueless... NU fans should have higher expectations...This is not podunk U

  5. "We are a lot faster this year," Watson said. "That freshman class that we took and redshirted is really fast. That is a fast class. We also made some key moves by taking Marcus Mendoza and putting him at receiver. That made us faster at receiver. Antonio Bell is another kid that joined us at mid semester and those two kids are the fastest on our team. This is the fastest team we've had since I've been here."--Wats

He knows nothing about NU football..

  6. yeah man, it's us...it's been us for a while now

man that makes football life so much easier.. knowing things like this.. are you a member of rivals or scout. beucase im tired of going on there websites seeing stuff like "is Nebraska still in the mix for blah blah" and then i get on here and no one really answers it.. i wish osmebody could let us know every main topic on huskers illustrated. that would also make my day

or do you fans know any other websites that tell you the stuff rivals doesnt

Curtis Carter has legit blazing speed. He is consistant in running sub 4.4 40s nearly every time... I read today he feels he is being slow played by LSU and is at camp there. He said is still a clear cut number one. I dont think he has visited yet. I think if NU gets him here on game day. It a done deal..

Same thing with mobley.. but they wont visit untill early fall.. He is NUs to lose..

If you read the headlines there is another has hasnt visited but NU seems to be his number one chocie right

now.. I cant think of his name...He is a QB in HS..

  7. Under the Latest News section on rivals it says "Stanford Commit Set To See Nebraska?" who are they talking about?

    probably Dillon Bonnell

    It's Will Hampton.

A stanford and Cal commit are both going to visit. The Cal commit not untill later in the fall more then likely

    Both are DTs

  8. Looks like he isn't visting until his official visit on November 6th which is........the OU NU game. Hopefully we show up unlike last year.

His uncle said they would visit in early August and unless some thing has changed he appears to be NUs to lose... They have hinted if the visit goes well there was a good chance he'd/they would commit.

  9. “Nebraska was my first offer and they’ve been recruiting me since the beginning,” Detchauz Wray said. “I really like the coaches there. They’re real laid-back and are all very nice and good. They know how to win. They are building Nebraska football back up. I hear from them a lot more than anyone else. They stay in contact and I get along really well with their quarterback coach...”

Sounds like he wil get a shot a QB to me. Either way I hope he commits
