I'm going to have my "Rumor Bashers" on this, but I'm confident enough in my source to post the following:

 

Marvin Sanders is gone. All I know is that it was based on "legality" issues. Whether or not it was a football-related issue, I don't know. Clearly this is why we hired Raymond.

 

The same source has told me that Gilmore is also gone, but he didn't sound as sure as he did about Sanders. What I've gathered from this is Sanders is definitely gone. I have no doubts about that. Based on what my source said, I'd give it a very solid chance that Gilmore is gone too.

Heard the same thing put it in the other thread. He resigned over 2 weeks ago.

I am sorry, but this needed to be addressed TODAY. The cat is out of the damn bag. They recruits should have been in the know otherwise it kinda goes against everything Bo stresses when it comes to recruiting. Being open, straight forward, and being sure of a commitment. This is utter BS.

Maybe Bo has been honest with the recruits and has just asked/trusted them not to come out with any of this. Remember a few weeks ago Jamal Turner slipped up and released some stuff about Beck being the new OC. All of our recruits said that thet loved how honest they were with them. Maybe they already know...

Also charles jackson was looking around to at the end wondering if that had anything to do with sanders? Bo needs to address this before he looks stupid after other coaches come out with it.

If true this really sucks, i wonder what made Marvin want t leave?

Ya idk. Something is going on though. The friend also said that marvin would stay on the payroll for another six months or something like that. I guess i dont understand how u can still get paid from the university if you resign? we will see if he knows what he is talking about soon.

Can't see the 6 months thing considering assistants contracts expire this month

Ya thats what i was thinking to. He said something like a severance pay of some kind.

If someone resigned they didnt get fired. bo might not be lying. although i do think people have been hired.

I really think all our guys stay. David already has said he will and I think in the end Dennard and Crick will to. Could be a hell of a draft class for nebraska next year.

On rivals they said L David will not test the waters for the nfl. He said above football he came to nebraska to get a degree. Also says the Prince was happy he stayed and that he has talked to dennard about how it worked for him and suh.

If this is true and he did talk to Miami like was reported on the morning news then Bo can leave IMO. If you don’t want to be here then get out. This isn’t like an assistant coach talking to another school about a better position then the one they currently hold. This is a Head Coach at a Top 20 program talking to the A.D. of a school that isn’t ranked and is in turmoil.

 

If it is because he got publicly reprimanded by Pearlman I say, stop acting like a moron on the sidelines and that would stop your boss from publicly reprimanding you.

 

If it is because he wants to fire Watson and T.O. won’t let him I say T.O. needs to stick to being an A.D. and let the Head Coach make some big boy Head Coaching decisions and Bo needs to sack up and make the decisions that he sees fit for his program.

 

If it is because of the media and fan treatment I say “this ain’t intramurals brother”. Nut up and be a big boy and handle the crap that comes with the job. He makes over $2,000,000 a year he should have a little thicker skin.

 

If it isn’t true and he hasn’t talked to them I say great and bring on the talk about the bowl game.

I dont understand how you can say never talk to anybody else about another job. TO did it and even went down and interviewed for the colorado job because of the pressure to win at nebraska. So you are saying that you wanted TO to leave because he talked to another school. Your telling me that you have never looked at another job even if you are happy with the one you have just to see whats out there?

Just wanted to say that TO also looked at some other jobs. He almost took the colorado job because of the pressure to win at nebraska. I think he will stay and get a raise while he is at it.

I heard that Martinez was not listening to the trainers and that he had an attitude when they were just trying to help him out and obviously bo wasnt happy about it.

Pelini comes across as an idiot. Coach Osborne never acted like this. He storms around screaming like an incoherent baboon. Why in the world was he chewing out Taylor on the sideline? He is the only offense we have! Maybe he should direct some of his anger toward the 6 yes 6 points we scored in 60 minutes of football. We have gotten our butts handed to us by the 2 Texas teams. I am glad we don't have to play these guys anymore. Hope Bo gets it together, or he won't be around here long.

Martinez was likely getting yelled at because Bo wants him to step up an be a leader and apparently he was hesitant about getting back into the game. Just because he's good doesn't mean he gets special treatment. And Bo did talk about his disappointment with the offense. Or at least he tried to. But almost all the questions were about the penalties, which was undeniably a HUGE part of the outcome. And if you watch football you would note that a lot of coaches yell, because it's an intense environment and an intense sport that is very easy to get wrapped up in. I would be more alarmed if he were calm. But if you honestly think Bo "comes across as an idiot" then might I suggest "Skating with the Stars"?

From what I have heard Martinez wasnt listening to the medical staff and Bo was not happy about it. He had an attitude the whole time the staff was trying to help him. Now this is what someone told me that knows some players. Take it for what it is worth.

Its people like you that almost made TO leave for colorado. To high standards! We are 8-1 and are almost a lock going back to the B12 champ game. Year 3 and people are freaking out bc we are not going to play for a NC. get real. How long did it take TO? and he had some close games that shouldnt of been (97 mizzou comes to mind). Bo has done a great job.

I'd like to see these rankings from past years, I think Bo is doing a great job coaching up this team, the guy is a stud.

I check these most of the weeks during the year and the last couple years more and more huskers have been getting named on their lists.

Hard to fault them for leaving Carl out, but the absence of Prince, Alfonzo, and Hagg from this list is really suspect...I think those three all are above Gomes right now. Although Prince had a bad game, Gomes has had some less than stellar ones too if I recall. All four are ballers though.

Prince is on the DB list at 5. And Dennard should be on the list.

Lavonte 4th best LB

Prince 5th DB

Gomes 18th DB

Henery 2nd for special teams (#1 kicker though)

This is my first post on your board. I have been lucky enough to attend games at many stadiums around the country and Husker fans rank very high. I am truly sad that this is our probable last meeting for many years. Your team has been an awesome part of the big 8 and big 12. We cannot compete with your success and you are do your props for all your success. Coach Osborne is the Best! Good luck in the big 10. It is a great conference, especially academically. As for as this weekends game, I look forward to a show down between two great teams. From reading posts on this site I think many of your fans express somewhat onesided opinions. This should be a gret game between two fine teams. I will be at the game in Lincoln which will make my 26th Tiger= Husker game in a row. You have dominated the series. But every time I come to Lincoln, I believe in our team. Not because I drink coolaid, but because I am a Tiger. Sure I have differnt degrees of confidence. This year I have been impressed by T-Magic and do think the blackshirts are back, but I also know the Tigers are for real. I don't know who will win, but I know this I will have a great time in Lincoln. You will be missed in the Big 12! Good luck, Huskers.

Kyler is a stud man Iam telling ya . If he beats a corner back its a eazy 6 points . I think mizzou should be worried a lil bit

 

Actually I don't know how easily he can beat a corner, but LBs lined up on him from the TE position, definitely

He did beat a corner on his long TD catch against OK state. But most of the time you are right that he will be lined up against a LB. Which is a huge mismatch.

I think a big reason the coaches felt good about moving Mike Mcneil to WR was the potential of Kyler. Kid has stepped up and is a mismatch against a LB or saftey. Another thing I like was the attitude of the QB's. I know they have said all the right things all year but everytime Taylor came off the field Cody and Zac were there talking to him and congratulating him. Dont see Cody leaving, I think he knows he is a big hit from being in. Especially next year with lee leaving. I see the QB's coming in taking a redshirt. The line defenitly needs to get some pressure on the QB. Just looks like they are tied up the entire play. If we can get pressure on Gabbert we win. My pick 34 to 20 GBR!

I like they way they are doing it. Because I think it was the iowa state games last year where everybody just turned around and they faked the punt and took of running. On that play not one person was looking at the punter.
