  2. Though I don't like it, it's an understandable move from the ISU athletic department. Their team is terrible and pretty much always will be, so you have to make revenue any way you can. And besides, none of this is going to stop me from getting a hillside seat and getting plastered, so it's not a big deal to me either way.

Now we're talkin' my type of priorities

  3. Played EXTREMELY POOR vs SPREAD TYPE OFFENSES with MOBILE QBs, Texas, KSU and Missouri!

I agree. But, that was just his first year as DC. I think he would have (don't start dedhoarse ) fixed it by the second year if he would have got the chance.

Not only that, Missery had to pull some crazy stuff to beat us and BP had no control over the offense. And watching those games over reminded me of how Jammal Lord's passes ALWAYS hit the ground 5 yards in front of the reciever.

And also, BP could take the second string HS defense and make them play harder and better than KC with 20 five star players anyday.

  4. I went back and watched the 2003 season over again.

I could not believe how well the D improved as the season went on. They were more confident and REALLY aggressive and were totally different by AtM than they were at OSU (granted that was just the first game).

Anyway, as I watched the season play out again, watching the D with unbiased (ya right) eyes, I am even more convinced we got the right coaches to right this ship.

Academic eligibity standards for all school in the Big 12 North will be raised to maintaining a 1.5 grade point average (thus eliminating teams from CU and MU while severely depleting KU’s roster). Schools unable to field a football team after these standards are instituted will be replaced with academically approved schools including but not limited to Drake, Creighton and Minnesota State…

    OMG that is too funny!!!!!!!

If I'm a student at UNL, I would be royally PO'd. For years the complaint has been made that the student seating was some of the worst in the country. It allows us virtually no home field advantage when the student section is basically the vast majority of our fans who make noise on game day. But yet, in an effort to correct this long-lasting mistake, Dr. Tom pushes the students back even more.

What REALLY p*sses me off about the article is ..

However, "(the change) was not done for financial reasons," Osborne said. "We have no idea whether there will be an increase in revenue or not. We're sure the seats will be sold."

Osborne said one reason for the change was because students have a tendency to stand on their seats throughout the game, and it wasn't fair for the season ticket holders who sat behind them.

"We're doing what we can to be fair," Osborne said. "But I just have to tell you, people who buy a ticket are entitled to see a game, so it wasn't happening. That's why this move has been made."

This is a load of garbage. It was not done for financial reasons, but only for a reason to "be fair"? Yeah Tom, lets see the checks they signed you for these seats. If it wasn't done for financial reasons, I'm guessing these season ticket holders paid the same exact price as years before, correct? You know that is a load. It is about the almighty dollar.

Frankly, this ticks me off the students yet again get punished for absolutely no reason. Personally, I hope the students make a stink about this, because they do not deserve to be pushed even further back for absolutely no reason.

Tom says in the article if anyone is to blame, then blame him. Honestly, I think we all should blame him by showing our displeasure of the treatment of our students by a few nice little emails. If anything, the students should be getting better seating, not pushed towards the damm clouds just so the university can make another buck.

    Sickening.

    :rant

    How about this.....

You are at a college football game! Don't sit down! Stand and yell the whole game. If you want to sit and watch a game, stay home!

  7. Wait...if he didn't get off the plane then how does anyone know he was on it?

I don't think he said Bo was on it. It flew in from Baton Rouge. Also, when the plane was on the ground they called TO and he was out of the office. Come on, you'd have to be a freakin' $^&$% not to see what is going on here. Next plane from Chicago has Ditka on it!

And if TO just so happens to be in the can at the time........

Then my brother's best friend's math teacher told me coach D is getting an interview on the plane! :sarcasm

  8. I think Bo is a great choice for a short term solution. I have reservations about the long term and his temperment. I think we would tire of him in about 4 years. I love his style for an assistant coach, but have a few reservations about him being our HC. He just gives me a weird vibe. The cool thing is our cupboard is not bare. We will be back and in the hunt for the north next year regardless who is coach. Even if BC is allowed to return with new DC.

That is why you have a GREAT ex-coach to guide him his first two or three years.

    GO BIG RED

    GO TO

    GO BO

    GO BC (away that is)

  9. It can't be true. I have already accepted the job and told my 5th grade team that I won't be back next year to coach them. :sarcasm

P.S. I coached them to a championship and our defense was only scored on 5 times all year and won the championship game 20-0

Blackshirts will be back, I will make sure :bonez

  10. Floyd Mayweather was once considered the best pound-for-pound boxer. The Huskers once held that distinction in college football. After KU danced all over the Children of the Corn on Saturday, maybe a quickstep with the champ would help.

it's the logo dancing on a pile of corn.
