  1. Roy ran like a beast today and our line really blocked well for him in the clutch. Our offense is so much better when he is in there healthy. Nice to see Paul have a good game, nice to see McNeil get some looks, and cool to see Kinnie have a sick one handed grab. Hopefully Watson will realize we can ride Helu the rest of the season and use the play action to really put the pressure on the defense. Very happy with the win and can't wait to come to Lincoln next weekend. Go Huskers!

I hope he didn't ding up that shoulder again, he seemed to be favoring it after that last touchdown :dunno

  2. The brain says OU by 10+

  4. something is wrong here, very wrong......i think the kid is hurt and Bo wants him to play anyway.....that sucks! i think Pelini is thinking of himself and not his players......pressure is affecting his ability to coach, IMHO.

I dont agree with you, Hunter I don't think Bo would risk a players health. He may just be caught up in "coach speak"

Besides we dont really run the ball all that much anyhow.. :sarcasm

  5. I don't buy the last sentence. If we can't win one of our last 3 without Helu things are worse than I expected.

:yeah we should find one win out there or Jobs should be reviewed (seriously)

  6. My brain says a OU victory but my heart says a Husker win......anybody else feel this way?

I know that I've shown my loss of faith with our offense in regards of scoring TD's but I haven't loss faith in this Husker team. I'll be at the game cheering on the Huskers as they take on #24 OU according to the BCS poll and hope and pray that we pull this one off. I just can't see us lossing 3 games in a row at home.

here is something scary Oklahoma converted 10 of 13 third downs and Landry Jones connected on 26 of 37 passes for 294 yards with four TDs and no interceptions last week.

I believe this team needs an offensive leader, Ganz wasn't the most athletic QB but he was a good leader, that is what got us some tough wins last year, and that is what seems to be missing with this years team.

  7. If you have a cable box or satellite, you can order ESPN Gameplan and get it (along with another 10-15 games) in SD for $30. Otherwise, ESPN 360 is the way to go. It won't be on ESPN2, that is only for the 2:30 games.

Is that what used to be called ESPN Gameday?? Directv loves me during football season. I think I've paid for about 5 or 6 games so far this year!

:yeah this is only the 4th game this year that I don't have to PPV, although I have seen every snap this season and I will keep paying as long as it is available.

  8. The thing that gets me about this whole Lee/Green debate is that it appears some folks have taken sides like it is the stinking Civil War. I have never understood how people can have an allegiance to a single player in a team game. I don’t care who starts, who plays the most snaps, etc. etc. etc. Just win some freaking football games. If that means Green good, if that means Lee alright. It does not matter and IMO it shouldn’t matter.

I don’t know if people want to feel like they predicted Cody Green to be great, so they want it to be so to make them feel better about their football knowledge. I do know that but whatever it is it definitely hinders their ability to view things objectively and with an open mind.

The truth (as I see it) is in his first start Green played average and not much more then that. He had a couple good throws and he had a handful of really bad ones. He had a couple nice runs and he had a couple stinkers. He locked into his receivers a lot, appeared to not be able to throw on the run and did absolutely nothing that would make anyone (outside of his #1 fans) go wow.

This in no way is saying he isn’t capable of dominating because he has shown glimpses (not very many but they have appeared), but there is also the chance that he doesn’t ever dominate (that would crush a lot of people).

:yeah Cody Spano in 2010 !!!! :dumdum

  9. All I know is that my pro team (San Francisco 49ers) and college team (Nebraksa Cornhuskers) have had mirror image seasons so far, including expectations, performance and injuries.

And last Sunday Mike Singletary pulled Shaun Hill out of a lifeless first half and replaced him with Alex Smith. Smith will be starting this Sunday.

So yes.....Cody Green will play this week and start the week after.

HA thats awesome, 49ers and Huskers are my teams also. I never thought about the similarities until now, and here is another one that probably is less significant for you.

At the begining of the year i was a big Zac Lee fan, and for the 49ers i was a Shaun Hill fan because i thought Alex Smith was a huge bust.

Now the 49ers give the Smith another shot and he performs (hopefully he has more than just 1 half of good football in him),

so maybe if we give Green a shot he will show us that he was worth all those stars that accompenied his name coming out of high school.

I felt the same way. Smith was a bust. Hill didn't wow you, but he knew how to win. The Niner loss in a last second miracle on the road to the Vikings felt exactly like the Husker loss in Blacksburg. Then came the redemptive win. Then two games where the wheels came off and you realized maybe the team just isn't as good as you hoped they'd be, and most of it comes down to personnel rather than playcalling. Still, both the Niners and the Huskers could end up winning their weak divisions.

We were getting a little extra Husker press here in the Bay Area because Lee came out of City College of San Francisco.

Word up to any Husker fan feeling down in the dumps. You can always fall to your knees and thank God your favorite team isn't the Oakland Raiders.

Chalk me up as a third Husker/ Niner fan. I too see the similarity's to each other, especially in the swings in highs and lows

  10. Here's hoping it'll be on ABC at 7 pm nationally so we can watch another 35-0 first quarter drubbing and another Pelini meltdown in Lincoln rather than Norman.

Here's hoping someone will beat the #### out of you soon

    :yeah
