  1. Hey Guys,

I am looking for three tickets for a friend and her family. She has $400 cash and is willing to pay right now if someone knows of any tickets available.

We have been on Craig's List, Stub Hub and you name it we have been there.

This is our last hope and I hate to even bug you guys about this. I will be on the road the remainder of the week; if you have any tickets or know of any tickets, please email me at krisrarden@gmail.com

    Thanks again!

DALLAS -- The AT&T Cotton Bowl Classic matchup will feature Oklahoma State and Mississippi, a source close to the game confirmed Tuesday.

The Jan. 2 game will be played at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington for the first time. The selected teams won't be made official until later this week or after Saturday's Big 12 and SEC championship games.

The Cotton Bowl gets the first selection of Big 12 teams after the BCS is determined, making Oklahoma State (9-3) an easy choice. But the Capital One Bowl takes the first SEC West team ahead of the Cotton Bowl, and they will likely take LSU. That left the Cotton Bowl to choose between Ole Miss (8-4) and a handful of 7-5 teams.

Mississippi defeated Texas Tech in the final Cotton Bowl played at the Cotton Bowl stadium last January. Oklahoma State faced Ole Miss the last time they went to the Cotton Bowl in 2004. The Rebels won that game, 31-28, behind Eli Manning's three touchdowns (two passing, one rushing).

Oklahoma State, which has dealt with the suspension of playmaking wide receiver Dez Bryant and numerous injuries, had been considered a candidate for a BCS at-large berth before Saturday's loss to Oklahoma.

Ole Miss started the season in the top 10 and jumped into the top 5 before losing to South Carolina. Mississippi also lost at home to Alabama and on the road at Auburn and Mississippi State.

  4. 1. What is the best option for parking? How long does it take to get in and out of the parking lots? Is parking really $40?

    2. What time will the stadium open (7pm kickoff)? Are their restaurant/bar areas inside the stadium where we can watch the SEC title game? I'd rather not miss the entire fourth quarter in transit.

Anyone else going to the game, feel free to add your questions, and hopefully someone familiar with the stadium can help us out.

Here is a link that will answer some of your questions:

    http://stadium.dallascowboys.com/guests/parking.cfm

Unless you have a suite or access to a suite, I do not believe you will be able to watch any games inside the stadium. However, I could be wrong.

  5. These guys suck and 3 times is enough for me. Please tell me they won't be doing the championship game. The bagging on Asante is getting old, stupid penalty yes, but he barely hit the guy.

Oh, don't worry, I am sure we will have Brent Musburger doing play by play next week. I would rather have these two guys any day before I had to hear Musburger voice.

  6. WTF is a tailgate pass?

There are only certain areas that you can tailgate at Cowboy's Stadium. You can only tailgate on the grass and only in certain areas. To do this, you must have a tailgate pass.

You cannot have any coolers in parking areas only tailgate pass areas. I know it sounds crazy, but welcome to Jerry's World.

This is why he is able to charge $75 for a tailgate pass during Cowboy's Games.

  7. okay i have my tickets, but what should i worry about as far as parking? i heard its outrageous, but should i be able to get a spot if i just show up at the stadium or what?

Madhouse!!! That is all that can be said about parking at Jerry's World. Look on Craig's List and Ebay and you usually can find pretty good parking for around $30. Normal parking can run you between $45 and $75 depending where you are.

  8. I'll be there and bought a parking pass in lot 14. Anybody know if the board is meeting anywhere to tailgate?

You are more than welcome to tailgate with us. It will be half huskers and other half horns. As soon as our tailgate pass arrives, I will let you know what lot we are in if you are interested.

That would be great if you would let me know. Also, just let me know what I would need to bring to help out. Thanks.

Beer is the main thing!!! That is what I am telling everyone to bring. We will just be grilling hot dogs and hamburgers so please feel free to bring a package of one or the other.

Also, I will send you an personal message on Huskerboard with my Name and Phone Number.

  9. Are there really restrooms in the vincinity of the tailgate location?

Is this like one car-sized space?

I would guess that Port-A-Potties is the only thing that will be in the vicinity. However, who knows what Jerry will allow and not allow on his parking lot.

  11. Who is going to game and what have u heard about the parking at stadium.have heard its crazy!!!!!!! buy a pass or just wing the parking?

There are 15 of us of going; we purchased one tailgate parking pass and three regular parking passes.

    http://cgi.ebay.com/THE-BIG-12-CHAMPIONSHI...=item1c0dc7d6a6

I live in DFW and do not wing the parking; you could get yourself in trouble by doing this. I have heard that their are towing zones everywhere by the stadium; however, some are marked and others are not. Just be careful.

  12. Ok this might be posted somewhere but i didn't see it. For someone that maybe live in that area what hotels are within walking distance of the stadium?

If you want to be in Arlington and walking distance from the stadium, you may be out of luck as I tried to get friends a room earlier today and everything is sold out.

If you are wanting a nice room with a decent price, I can get you one hell of a rate at a Hilton Garden Inn, but you will be about 35 miles out from the stadium.

  13. I will post this again, since no one else can seem to find this.

    http://www.ticketmaster.com/event/0C00434F...;minorcatid=103

That is for parking in the lots around the stadium. You will not be spending $60+ like everyone seems to think.

Parking is $30 for non-tailgate and $40 for tailgate parking.

There are designated North Team and South Team lots.

I have not checked all of the lots for availability. My guess is that most of them are probably sold out already. I would recommend contacting some nice KSU fans that got a bit ahead of themselves.

They are all sold out.... I have been on the phone with Ticketmaster trying to find parking passes. Best bet right now will be Stub Hub or Craig's List.

  14. I thought maybe some of you may know what the best thing to do is. I am going to the Big 12 championship and will be staying in a hotel near the airport. Now I know that is still like 14 miles from the stadium. I was wondering if it would be best to drive out ourselves and tailgate or try to find a shuttle or taxi to take us out and back. Will it be a problem finding a taxi or shuttle before or after the game?

Just looking to find if anyone knows what may be the best. Thanks in advance.

First, let me ask you a question; I do not know what your hotel rate is; however, I live in Frisco, TX about 35 miles from Arlington and the Hilton Garden Inn has rates right now for $65.00 a night.

Now, we are driving and tailgating outside the Stadium parking lot. I am not for sure what parking is going for during the Big XII Championship; however, for the Cowboys games, I hear it is up to $60+ dollars to park and tailgate in stadium parking lot. There is no reason for anyone to have to pay $60 to park, drink and have fun after we pay out the a** for game tickets

To be honest with you, I would drive. The roads are a disaster in Arlington and it is going to take forever to make it to the stadium no matter what time you leave. A Taxi will cost you out the a** and from what I hear, the shuttle service around Arlington is a f%&k**** joke.

    Just my thoughts.

  15. I don't think we should be writing off K-state with Bill Snyder as their Head coach.......Sure it will be an emotional night for Nebraska but there is a lot at stake for KSU as well.....Plus they do have a good running game with a big back and we saw last week against a supposed weak O-line that Nebraska can be run on. The run D this year is statistically worse than the pass.

I just don't think we should be discounting them much. Same goes for Colorado next week......I guess that is my attitude before everygame though. I am always nervous no matter who Nebraska plays because sh*t can happen (see ISU)....

    Just my thoughts....

I agree 100% with your comments. I am not saying that we won't win, but my gut is telling me that this is by no means going to be a blow out. K-State will be ready; they have as much to lose if not more than Nebraska.

I cannot wait for Saturday night, but am I worried.

    Go Big Red.....

  16. can't seem to find a viable forum. anyone know?

This is my opinion, but let them talk all the trash they want this week. The ones that usually talk trash have to end going back and eat crow. I would say, let's keep our mind straight and keep our mouths shut until 10:00 PM on Saturday night.

We cannot get to cocky yet; just remember Iowa State.... We all thought this would be an easy "W".

    Again, just my opinion!

  17. Over the past week, I have read on this site, "We can't beat OU"; "We are going to get blown out". Why are we saying this? We have not played the game yet; we do not know what will happen.

Any Given Saturday that is what we need to say right now! Just look at today, Baylor beat Mizzou, Navy beat ND, and Northwestern beat Iowa. Why can't we say we are going to win?? I am sure none of the fans of these teams today went into the stadium or started watching the game on TV were saying we are not going to win today. Fu** negativity; let's kick some a**

Who knows what will happen! Support that is what this team needs; not negativity.

    Sorry for the rant!

    Go Big Red!!!!

  18. As you look at other Nebraska discussion boards and sites, no one is talking about this. I believe if this was true, it would be all over the internet. He is a very high profile person; not just in Nebraska, but in the college football world.
