we are definitely in some serious trouble. as much as i hate to say this, i would not be surprised if we didn't win a single game remaining on our schedule. that being said, i'll say 2-3, with wins against Baylor and KSU. but hey, if we do that BOWL ELIGIBLE BABY!!!!!!

I am there with you on your thoughts! Hell, I even reserved a hotel room in Shreveport for December 28 as I am guessing we do no better than the independence bowl this year.

Now that we have a QB that can run (C. Green); do you believe will look at changing the offense to tailor to his strengths? I do not see Bo going back to the option or anything like that; but put a larger emphasis on the run rather than the pass.

I am sorry, but I do not see where ISU was really that good. Nebraska beat themselves; this game should have been a blow out. Four fumbles within the ISU 6 yard line. A good team would have scored more than 9 points; Nebraska is a bad team that needs to go back and learn the fundamentals of Football.

I am sorry, but I cannot give that much credit to ISU; I place 100% blame on Nebraska.

And if we win out we'll still win the north.

the real question is, will he get any recruits at all after this week?

Wow, that really maybe the real question.....

Let's just say Bo does fire two or three coaches (Cotton, Watson and etc.) now or even after the season ends. How many recruits could we lose from our current commitment list? This is what scares me more than anything right now.

Let's just hope it is the complete offensive coaching staff. The Defense coaching staff can go both ways.

Please correct me if I am wrong, but most of the starting offense and defense right now are all Callahan recruits; would that be accurate? If so, are Pelini recruits going to be any better? I know this is a question that does not matter right now, but just wondering what the future holds for Nebraska football.

I remember feeling this way only once in my life about the Huskers. It was around October of 2007 when it became apparent that Nebraska had fallen so low to be an embarrassment both to themselves and the state. I now feel this way, not about the team, but a part of it. Bo Pelini was hired to instill a sense of toughness and nastiness in the defense. In two seasons we can now be proud to say that we have a premiere defensive unit nationally. We play solid on the line, solid in the secondary, and Suh is a one-man punt blocking machine.

 

Shawn Watson, Barney Cotton, and Ted Gilmore, however, need to be fired and fired immediately. I do not care who points the finger at what. From front to back his offensive unit is an absolute disgrace to the state of Nebraska and the university. As I said last week, they are stupid, undisciplined, and inept. It all starts with the line, who cannot create a stable pocket, who cannot run block with any consistency. Our receivers are so horrendous it defies explanation. Running backs cannot be blamed for holes that don't exist. And for those Lee apologists in the crowd, tell me how his pussyfoot play helps this team? He's useless as a quarterback. He may not ever be the sole reason this team loses a game, but he does little to help in winning (a la Sam Keller).

 

I have never been so embarrassed as a Husker fan to watch our offense. Niles Paul, Holt, and Lee specifically have no business on the field, but one cannot conceivably account for the dozen turnovers we had by pointing to the players. It just doesn't happen. It's the coaching, period. It's the fundamentals. It's the mindset. Our offense is sick, like our defense was sick in 2007. If Pelini doesn't cure it, he could lose this team just as badly as Callahan lost it before he was fired.

 

Newsflash, folks. This team doesn't have what it takes to make a bowl game. Our defense is useless if our offense can't score. We are in bad, bad shape.

I hate to say this, but we may only be able to win one more game (Baylor). If that is the case, our bowl hopes could be in jeopardy.

to be honest, i think Ne covers. i think that Tech game sparked something and they have big burning hearts to show off...idk though. lol i dont bet

I agree with you 100%. This same thing happened last year after the Missouri game. Yes, we lost at TT last year, but they put up one hell of a fight. I believe they are pissed off enough after last week that they will get their sh** together and make teams understand that they are no fluke football team.

Its almost 1 and its taken the damn UT OU game 2 hours to play 1 half, they aren't even done yet to be honest, then we gotta wait for halftime, thats 30 minutes. that leaves us with 1 hour for 2 qtrs to get done. Will they switch us to the Nebraska game if the OU/UT game runs over?

They have it scheduled to show on ESPN here in Texas. If the TX/OU game is not over, you might switch over there and see if it is on in your area.

I believe it would be very hard to postpone this game. To the best of my knowledge, neither team has another bye week until the end of the season. The only time they could make up would be tomorrow or Saturday and I believe some Nebraska players must be back in Lincoln tomorrow for classes. The week after the Colorado game is the Big XII Championship so they could not do it at the end of the season either.

Just my thoughts.
