  1. Anyone heard anything official on Diaz? The buzz is pretty confident he will be there, but I'm gonna be nervous until I see something official.

bshirts007 - I'd say you're right with the key to the game. I'm willing to bet that if NU can frustrate Pullen for about the first 7-8 minutes he will give up. He may keep playing hard, but he won't be a team player and will hurt them more than he helps them (hopefully anyway). That Spradling worries me, he seems like the kind of guy NU could give up 25 to, especially if he gets hot.

I'm heading down to Manhattan shortly, sounds like roads are clear and I'm guessing tickets won't be hard to come by so I decided to take the afternoon off and go. After all, this is the last year I'll be able to do something like this spur of the moment, gonna suck not having any games within a few hours driving distance. I urge my fellow Huskers to do the same, I'm guessing not a lot of KSU fans will show up, let's get a good showing of red!

500 GA's available for the game folks! http://www.kstatesports.com/sports/m-baskbl/spec-rel/020111aab.html

Come on down to Manhattan for one last time!!!

    GO BIG RED!!!!

  2. Well the weather here in Manhattan isnt the greatest right now. Still blowing snow and temps are in the negatives. My guess would be 6 inch's with ice under it. They havent postponed the game yet and I dont think they will. But I do think the "Octagon of Doom" will be more like the "Octagon of Gloom" tomorrow night. I would think there will be plenty of seats available without many people being able to travel here for the game.

As far as the game goes...

It really looks like Frank Martin has lost this team. Seems like most of them dont want to play for the guy and their is ZERO leadership on the court. Kstate has struggled on the road but are a completely different team at home. I think this is going to be a great game and I am really looking forward to watching the Huskers Celebrate one last victory here in Manhattan!!

    GO BIG RED!!!

  3. I dont post on here much but when I come across something like this it is just disappointing. What exactly were your expectations for this team? A National Title or bust? Coming into the season we all knew we would have an excellent D. But the jury was still out on our offense so if you set your expectations as high as a National Title maybe you put the bar a little to high for this team. That is not their fault, it is yours. Dont get me wrong I would have loved to see us go 13-0 and play for a National Title. But I just really want to walk out the Big 12 with that trophy that we deserve. And I will not give up on this team. If Saturday nights loss has not SPARKED your enthusiasm maybe you should check your RED in at the door. If you have tickets, give them up, FOR GOOD! This teams goal of winning a Big 12 Title is still there. And if you aren't board then we dont want you!!!

    GO BIG RED!!!

Call me a bad fan, but I can't help it. I think the season ended prematurely for me. I understand we will probably beat Colorado, but after what what I saw offensively from this team, I have some serious doubts about beating Oklahoma or Oklahoma State in the Big XII championship. We crashed in the polls and my high expectations of this team fell miserably short. And finally, losing to yet another team from the state of Texas is more than I can stand. I wanted to puke blood after that game. My enthusiasm for the remainder of the season simply died. For whatever reason, I just don't care about the remainder of 2010. I expected better.

    Anyone else?

  4. Kite's is a decent place, there is one in aggieville and one out on hwy 24 I believe. Tubbys and So Long Saloon are pretty good as well (both in aggieville). Willie's Bar and Grill on Seth Child is where the watch parties have been, I would assume there would be some huskers there, I haven't eaten there so couldn't tell you food wise. There are some huskers gathering to tailgate in the lot north of the stadium I believe before the game as well.

Thanks. I prob check out Willie's before the game to grab some grub, maybe stop by Tubby's or So Long Saloon. Hopefully 10-15,000 husker fans will be down their so I wont look out of place.

You won't look out of place. Place will be crawling with red.

Two years ago it was Rusty's that was packed with red before and after the game. The place is a poop hole though. If you gotta take a pregame dump make sure you go across the street to Jimmy Johns. Heck I wouldnt even take a leak in that place. Other then that, Tubby's and Kites are two good places but that is where most of the Purple people hangout. And yes Bad things do happen after midnight down there...bad mixture of Military and college students.

  5. Where would be the best places to look for parking? friendly that is.

If you arent planning on tailgating and want to check out aggieville before the game, the best place to park is City park. Just a few blocks south of Aggieville. Aggieville offers a FREE bus ride to the stadium which I believe starts 2 hours prior to game time. It picks people up in front of a bar called "Porters" which is located on "Manhattan Avenue". Just down the street from Varney's Bookstore. Drops you off about 2 blocks from the stadium gate. They also run the bus for 1 hour after the game and drops you off the same place it picked you up. Its normally about a 15-20 minute bus ride depending on how many stops it makes. However it does take awhile after the game to get back down to Aggieville due to traffic.

If you are going to tailgate or getting to town late there is two huge parking lots on both sides of the stadium(pay to park) or you can pick a nice field to the north to park in(pay to park) but that is where the college kids tailgate so I dont suggest that.

I prefer the bus from Aggieville.

Looking forward to seeing some Friendly's down here!!!

    GO BIG RED!!!

  6. My dad and I are still waiting on our tickets from a family member who attends K-State. We'd buy tickets at K-States ticket office but we want them at face value where our family member will get us two tickets at face value....time will tell if she'll live up to her promise. If not I'll be at home watching it.

You can still get tickets thru the Kstate ticket office guys! I was just checking out one of their boards and they are telling people not tell sell their tickets to the "Nubbers"....I laugh because the "Nubber's" can still buy them from their Athletic department!!! If you can come on down!!! Its going to be a great time!!!

    GO BIG RED!!!

  7. Cant wait to see all the RED down here!!! I remember two years ago after we dropped 56 on them. I was riding on the free bus ride from the stadium down to Aggieville. The bus was about half full of Nebraska fans and the other half Kstate fans. Somebody towards the front of the Bus dropped something(think it was a cell phone) and the bus driver flips on the lights and goes "Someone drop something?" a clever Husker fans responds with "Yeah we just dropped 56 on the Wildcats"...whole bus went nuts. Well except the purple people.

  8. Looks like the campaign has started! I am hearing rumblings down here of a "B****** at the Bill". Boy that is going to make the 20,000 RED wearing fans really stand out on National TV!!! Here is the logo for it!

    Who's coming to Manhattan???

BTW...tickets are still available thru Kstatesports.com!!

  9. I have this advice for you, if you go out after the game aggieville is a great time, but make sure not to wear your red. People will try and fight you.

Nah...two years ago after we dropped 56 on them there wasnt much purple in Aggieville after that game. Rusty's(the biggest bar down there but dirty as hell) was packed wall to wall with Nebraska fans.

  10. They are already talking about down here...they are looking forward to going into the game 4-0 and thinking they will come out 5-0. I visit there scout board from time to time and they are angry people. But usually it is all talk. I have been to two Nebraska games down here and the only time I had problems was when Crouch got his head ripped off. They know how to lose they just dont know how to act when they win. with that said....Lets paint "The Bill" RED!!!! Tickets Still available!!!

Look forward to seeing the Red down here in 2 weeks!!!!

  11. I am in a discussion with a co-worker about how the conference champion is determined in a round robin format like that the Big 12 will be next year. If two teams finish with a 8-1 record in conference play, how is champion determined? I am saying it is head to head result. He is saying that both teams are awarded the conference title. He points to 1999 when Kstate and Nebraska both finished 7-1 in conference play and both teams got trophies.

  12. Looks like there are tickets still available for the Husker vs Kansas State throught the Kansas St. Ticket office. It's an away game for this last and final tour of the conference. For many, including UNL Students it's a short drive to Manhatten. It's going to be a televised Thursday night game. How great it would be to make the place a home game for the Huskers?

    Let's paint the place Red.

Here is the link: Kansas State Ticket Office

    Pass the word!

Just got my tickets in the mail on Friday from Kstate university! Thanks Kstate fans for not being faithful!!! Sections 15 16 and 17 I was told are where the visitors normally sit. Plenty of tickets still!!!

Lots of talk going on down here on how they are going to beat us! "Fans" are saying they are going to have an amazing offense with the addition of Chris Harper and Brodrick Smith. Saying Daniel Thomas is going to run all over us! I honestly cant wait for this game to get here!!!!

  13. I got my tickets thru the kstate athletic Department. I was told that Sections 16 and 17 in the lower bowl were the visitors section as well as sections 429 and 430 in the upper bowl. All tickets for this game are $75. I was told last week that there are PLENTY of tickets left for this game. If you need tickets call 800-221-cats. Just tell them you want to sit in the visitors section(they will probably ask you if you know of anyone else that needs tickets from Nebraska, they did to me LOL) Lets paint the town RED like we always do!!!

    GO BIG RED!!!

  14. I was planning on buying tickets. I went to Manhattan 4 years ago and had a blast. Only then I bought tickets for the north end zone where its general admission. All the huskers grouped together. I don't see that as a option on the ticket website. I don't really wanna buy assigned seating and risk not having any huskers around espcially when you don't know how the kstate fans will be treating us this year.

Alley-The North end Zone is now what they call "young Alumni" and also has some General Admission mixed in. If you are looking at getting tickets and are afraid to get stuck next to a Purple Person Section 16 is your best bet. The Lady at the ticket office told me this section is for the Visitors.

    GO BIG RED!

  15. They have always jacked prices up for their "Big Games"...Nebraska and Texas game tickets are both $75 a piece...they are selling Texas or Nebraska Plus one of their Non-conference games(excluding UCLA) for $100. They will pretty much do anything to sell tickets to games at this point.

  16. Hey guys, I dont post on here often but thought I would let everyone know that Single Game Tickets at Kstate went on Sale today. Tickets to the Nebraska game are $75 a piece. I was just in their ticket office and the girl I talked to said there are plenty of seats left throughout the stadium. She told me that the vistors usually sit in Section 16 and 15 in the lower bowl and then sections 430/429 in the upper bowl.

This is the last time we will play in Manhattan for a long time, So I would love to see "The Bill" packed with Red!!! There are a lot of upset people down here and are pointing towards this game to shove it up Nebraskas rear end for leaving the Big 12. The is the LINK to their website or call 785-532-7606 or 800-221-CATS

Hope to see you all in Manhattan real soon!!!

    GO BIG RED!!!

  17. Does anyone know an easy way of getting tickets for this game? Kstate has sold out the rest of this season and when I called Nebraska's ticket office they said that all away ticket sales go thru the Home school's ticket office. I have looked online and have found some but would rather not pay $50-$100 to a kstate fan, plus two years ago when I went to the game there was a section of behind the bench of Nebraska Fans and a section up in the corner of Husker fans...anyone have some suggestions?

Never Mind...looks like some kstate decided not to go and turned their tickets back in to the University...Got some for $25 bucks each not bad...here is website if anyone is interested in coming down on Wednesday night!
