people have a sense of entitlement where they believe everyone is personally out to cheat them or something, the loss of civility is truly tragic. i'm sure a friendly note would have been much more effective than one with threats and inexplicable anger.

Try living in California... Entitlement must be everyone's middle name out here...

That's the idea, but that usually only applies to the elderly, kids, and non-violent offenders... Most of our policys are flexible... If it's some parolee who just shoved me down to get away, it's fair game...

If it's Crouch you speak of, he was the most dominant athlete that year... He was damn near the only reason we did remotely well that year on offense... A lot of people said Dorsey should have won it, but you could've plugged any immobile QB with a good arm into that system, surrounded by those athletes, and he could've done the same...

Reggie Bush and Eric Crouch aside, none of the winners of the Heisman in at least the past 20 years have deserved it...

Our policy says we can't taze them if they run away... and with that in mind, I agree with BRI...

I see it a lot when I train with huge guys new to jiujitsu.. They just give in to panic when on their backs...

I think Houston would dominate him, mostly due to his Muay Thai clinch and ground and pound... Kimbo is clearly out of his element when someone closes in on him...

I think we're going to have to adapt to whatever talent we have... At the moment, a power version of our offense works... I just hope we can stick with this style or at least figure it out before the season starts next time...

I've been hit 7 times by that damn thing... Once in training, 6 by accident... I hate it as much as OC spray... You're wrestling with someone and your partner decides to run up and taze you both, rather than just kick his ass....

In my opinion, it's another reason to hate the Big XII... We have one of the largest and most dedicated fanbases in the nation, yet here we are... stuck on PPV with Northeastern A&M and ITT Technical Institute...

Yeah, I'm sure the Husker fan in question was more mouthy and rude than she lets on, but it still doesn't justify what happened... But, that's if her story is mostly true, of course.

As far as cops go, I don't think we are superhuman or above the law, nor do I separate cops from society. Society separates cops from itself, as it does Marines, Sailors, Airmen, and Soldiers. It's kind of like the divorced parents when their children are bad... They always refer to the child as the other one's kid if they were bad ("Do you know what YOUR son did?")

I do think there are cops out there who do it for money or a pension, and don't give a crap about people in general. Personally, I would have chosen a different profession if I were in it for the money...

I'm not going to lie, my intentions in this career are totally selfish. I love action, the car chases, shootouts, foot pursuits, fights, etc. I love being the first one through the door when the sh#t hits the fan. I also love that children come up to me and tell me I'm their hero, as I did to cops/firefighters and servicemen/women when I was young. I love to save lives, as I have done very selflessly on several occasions (i.e. fires, suicides, traffic collisions).

I can't explain to you the primary reason I love my career... It's a combination of several emotions and values I have, from chivalry to bravery to my love of my Country and the fact that I get to uphold the Constitution and laws. The fact that I get to help in taking down those who do wrong onto others. I don't want medals, nor do I want any acclaim for my doings, as I feel I am doing my civic duty.

I volunteered for this because I wanted to live my life by a standard of honor and duty, even if it means making the ultimate sacrifice.

To me, its like the old saying from the Huskers... From the outside looking in, you don't understand it. From the inside looking out, you can't explain it.

Have you heard of Suh? Our playmakers don't have to be on offense... Plus, someone steps up on offense every game, so who cares if its the same one every week? It just makes it easier to stop our playmaking ability if there's one...

Like N.W.A. said, f#*k THE POLICE!!!! They act like they do good but its all just smoke and mirrors. These cops are just on a power trip and love being the bully. I'm not saying all cops are crooked but I would guess theres a good majority. Just what exactly do they do with the drugs they confiscate??? I know thats off topic but this is a disgrace. Some stupid Mizzou cop on an ego trip, they all know its wrong, but they'll never admit it cause it would hurt their departments image. They were just depressed cause they found out their football team has no future.

 

Like the old saying goes.................Next time your in trouble and need help, call a crackhead and see where that get's ya! Better yet, if you have kids and they are ever lost or need a hand, tell them that cops and fireman are bad, they should go find a child molester or drug dealer to help them.
