  1. people wear the corn cobs because it's the easiest way to get on television when in the crowd. it's just a cheap trick.

This guy is awesome!! Viva la Huskers!!!!

My roommate Sophmore year, now one of my best friends. He is post-grad now, so expect to see a lot more from him in the next few years.

  2. I'm out of the country too, so I have kept up with it. I'm not sure about the Wyoming game, because it is on Versus, but every other non-BTN game will be added for on-demand streaming on the next day. So, you will have to find another way for the Wyoming game and ABC/ESPN games if you want to see it live.

However, if you know anyone that has DirecTV, Dish, Charter or Time Warner, then you can access BTN2Go overseas. That is what I am doing. They just launched it today and it is actually pretty neat, because you can watch the BTN anytime, not just for games. But, if you did this, you would need a way to see other games (which I have already figured out for myself).

edit: They will have non-BTN games available on-demand from their television partners on BTN2Go, but I don't know if it will be next day like bigtenticket.

    Citation

"If you live abroad and do not have a subscription to a U.S.-based video provider, BTN continues to offer “Big Ten Ticket,” which is an international streaming subscription service that includes every BTN football and men’s basketball telecast to viewers outside of the United States, Canada and the Caribbean. This year, for the first time, Big Ten Ticket will also include next day, on-demand access to all Big Ten games, including all Big Ten Conference television partners. For more information, go to www.bigtenticket.com."

  3. As long as this isn't another 2:30 PM (4:30 AM for me) kickoff, I don't care. I lose my entire Sunday trying to catch up on sleep because of these 4:30 AM games. If this game kicks off at 2:30, I'm skipping it. I will only be able to get it on radio anyway...

  4. The only way we get into the National Championship is by taking care of business the next 5 (hopefully) games.

The media would quickly change their minds about us if we looked like BSU the next few weeks, except against better competition. If we win our next 4 games 52-10 they will start looking at us differently. If we play OU in the Big 12 Champ, we need to take them out of the game in the first half. If we play OSU, we need to have the same kind of offensive production that we had the first time, but hold them to less than 10 points in the first half and 20 overall. If we play Baylor, we need to win 52-10. I understand that Baylor would've beaten OU and OSU to get there, but we still need to make them look like Baylor (TCU destroyed them).

Also, none of this can be a margin of victory type thing. We need to pounce on every team we play. We need to be up 35 points at half, so no one can say we are running up the score late. We need to prove beyond a doubt that we are the best team in the Big 12. If we do that, we have a shot at playing in the NCG. We would still need Oregon or Auburn to lose, but we would be able to jump TCU/Utah and BSU if we played like that.

  5. its too early to be thinking this, but consider that we end up in a BCS game (not national title), comparing the teams we could meet, wouldnt it be cool to play against LSU in a bcs game?

I'd love that matchup. We might just hold LSU to negative total yardage.

Unfortunately, our likely opponent (if we won the Big 12) would be the worst team available. Meaning, unranked Big East Champ, here we come! We are going to destroy 'Cuse!

I don't think we'll get LSU either, because we'd be in the Fiesta and the Sugar would very likely take LSU.

But why would we get the worst team available? Does the Fiesta have the last choice this year?

Yes, the BCS Bowl that hosts the Nat'l Champ Game gets the last pick of available teams (after tie-ins) in it's regular BCS Game.

It's unfortunate that if we got an at-large BCS bid, we would likely play a much better team.
