Thanks for the info. Really surprised by that number though, Iowa State has been improving all season and handled Baylor. They're also two plays away from being 3-0 in the Big 12. We looked hopeless offensively and got mauled by unranked Texas Tech.

 

Of course I hope we win by 50, but I bet there will be a lot of early money on ISU.

 

If we had won against VT we probably would have been in the top 10 maybe even top 5 going into saturdays game. Scary thought isn't it?

I think by this point, the term "spread" has become pretty meaningless. Texas Tech's spread offense is very different from West Virginia's, and both are a lot different than what Florida is running. You know what Paul Johnson calls his flexbone option offense at Georgia Tech? Yup, it's the spread. All of these teams have vast differences in their offensive playbooks, yet they are all said to be running "The Spread Offense."

 

The bottom line is, with all the parity in the FBS, and all the big programs having much better strength programs than they did 15-20 years ago, there's no way you can line up in the I-Tight and bully the defense for 6-7 yards a pop. You have to spread them out.

Without being offensive (hahha), why are you complaining about older people being at the game. They have just as much reason to be there as you or me. Who's to say they do not care as much as the next person just because they aren't standing up or screaming at the refs..

I know exactly how you feel That having been said, I did notice a few bad spots, but nothing that had me going nuts heh.
