  1. i think if Auburn loses to Arkansas this week and we beat Texas, this Okie State (they need to beat Tech) game will be college gameday. the only other game that could compete with it is LSU vs. Auburn, but if Auburn just came off a loss, they may take the battle of undefeateds in Stillwater. i wasn't going to go to it but i might if its gameday.

also if we miss out on gameday for Okie St, we could get it for Missouri if we are undefeated and Missouri has one loss (Oklahoma). there are no other good games that week.

And all this time I thought Carl was one of the best DCs around. Go figure.

    do you ever read rivals?

the rule for defensive coordinator rankings is that they must be the MAIN defensive mind of the team.

obviously carl doesn't qualify because bo is the one who runs the defense. we all know he's obviously a top 20 d-coordinator but he doesn't qualify for the rivals rankings.

  3. OUR OFFENSE IS GOING TO BE FINE!!!!! seriously 20 points guys? and what's even funnier is that youre predicting they put up 14 to 21 points on our defense? come on guys. were also great on the road and on the rebound.

    KSU 10

  4. Nobody, and I do mean, nobody cares....

Why in the hell do I need some senior citizen putting on ridiculous headgear to verify the fact that they're good...

That's debatable. I went to the USC gameday and had a great time. It's just an exciting lead up to the game. That's stupid to say you wouldn't care about being the featured game for the day. Is it a huge deal? No, but it's an enjoyable time and I sure as hell do care about having it.

Whether or not Gameday is in Lincoln, has no bearing on the fact that we're going to beat the ass off of UT....

Ok so if you're comparing my emotions about gameday vs my emotions about winning the game, then yeah your right gameday isn't important. but i like getting jacked for a game that doesnt start for another 5 to 6 hours. i like hearing non-biased opinions on our team. its a fun time and like the above poster said, it cant hurt recruiting. i watch college gameday every saturday so when i get to see it happening 10 yards in front of me, i get excited. i apologize if that offends you for whatever reason

  6. Did I read or hear that Coach Osborne asked him to cover it up a bit? Is that why he wears the black arm sleeve? I might be a bit of a prude, but i just don't get the whole tattoo scene. Unless, you were a sailor during WWII or something or ringing the bell on Fantasy Island, those I get.

Tattoos are for the attention seekers and insecure. You're not a prude as much as you are mature, level headed, and can think past the age and intellect of an 17 year old.

To an extent I agree. But I also believe there are good reasons to get them if it is sentimental to you. but yes most tattoos are all about attention. dunno if thats the case for t-mart

  7. if texas beats oklahoma we get it for sure (we need to beat ksu of course)

if oklahoma beats texas i'd still give it a 50% chance. just because its the rematch of the game of the year last year and its the last time (most likely) we play texas for a long long time. i would think that would beat out OSU Wisc. we'll see though. i also care a lot less than i did a week ago about gameday

  8. first of all, i do have concerns about the defense. the defensive line was pitiful last night. i don't care if you are not as 'fired up' as the other team. if we really have all-american/first round draft talent on our d-line, you don't get manhandled by an FCS o-line. that was pathetic. crick has yet to prove himself. do i think he's an above average d-tackle? yes. but all-american? he hasn't proved he's all-conference yet. hope he does so against k-state.

as for the offense, its going to be fine. the heisman hype was getting to t-marts head. now hes humbled. is it scary that he cant hit a wide open receiver? very. but we'll be fine. we'll be able to put up 20+ points against good defenses this year, something we couldn't do last year. as for the offensive line, just as pathetic as the d-line yesterday. i have much more confidence in the d-line though. i dont think barney is the key to being a mean offensive line

  9. this is honestly good to humble this team, especially martinez. its no fluke scoring 56 on washington. this was a horrible game. our team expected nothing out of them. we'll be fine. will our offense struggle like this against good defenses? sure, but that's what the blackshirts are there for. you can't tell me that T-Mart is actually THAT bad at throwing. the coaches aren't stupid. Lee would be starting if we knew Martinez couldn't hit a wide open receiver (Marlowe) like that. it was a terrible showing and we'll be fine.

  10. look for a 4-3 defense next year.

  11. In my opinion Nebraska Unbeaten will rank higher in the BCS polls than and Undefeated TCU or Boise State if we go undefeated in the regular season and then beat an Undefeated Oklahoma in the Big XII championship, or simply whomever we play and if we win the Big XII Championship. What a way to finish out our final year in the Big XII.

in your opinion? its a 100% fact that we'd be ranked ahead of them. there will be some voters that have TCU and Boise ahead of us, but the computers and MOST voters will have us

  12. while i expect Alabama and OSU to trip up somewhere, the chances of them doing so are just as great as our chances of tripping up are. we definitely do not control our own destiny. there is a pretty good chance that 3 of these 4 go undefeated: Bama, OSU, Oregon, Nebraska. having a conference championship game helps our chances of jumping someone late, but as of now, we are ranked last out of all these teams

  13. i personally do not think Sarkisian voted us #1. i dont have the quote, but he said something along the lines of "they (nebraska) aren't that much better than us, we just didn't perform". obviously a coach cant go out and say, "yeah nebraska is way better than our team, we suck" but it seems like he didn't give us much credit. bo wouldn't vote us #1 yet either. i wonder who it was.

  14. according to weather.com, its not supposed to rain until 3pm (and even thats only a 30% chance). since the game starts at 1230 PT, it'll nearly be over before it even starts to rain, if it does. all of this assuming the meteorologists are correct of course

  15. I can start one between McFadden and Forte. Obviously Forte had a big week with 30 points last week, but Dallas isn't Detroit. Also two receiving touchdowns from Forte is sort of a fluke for a RB, so that won't likely happen again. Chicago should be passing all game to catch up in a game they should be losing. McFadden had a better rushing performance last week than Forte did. A good fantasy owner doesn't wait for a bad performance for a player to bench him, he takes him out before it happens.

McFadden vs St Louis or Forte vs Dallas? Leaning toward DMC even with Forte's 30 last week.

  16. No no no no. I sit in the south too and i too show up about 3 hours before kick off. But east stadium is a completely different story. You can get there right when they open the gates (1.5 hours before kickoff) and still get the half-way up seats you desire Landlord
