I have no problem with optimism but you have to look at the facts.

Fact is, who is to say UT won't have another melt down about the time NU or some other team before that takes Colt outa the game? Both teams will be stronger contingent upon how injury free they stay. It works both ways.

Another opinion (Sporting News article) that NU is NOT an intimidating place to play:

5. Nebraska: NU fans have the highest football IQ in the country. It's not even close. Love the way they applaud opponents when they leave the field. Now, as far as intimidation: I just don't feel it. A great atmosphere? Absolutely. But intimidating? Every now and then.

Of course everyone on this message board wouldn't hold a biased opinion <haha>. I was at the Notre Dame vs. NU game and even with all the Husker fans my ears were deaf with the Notre Dame fans. I've sat at many spots throughout Memorial stadium for raucous games that weren't nearly as loud.

I had to wear a Tommy Trojan costume last year. Basically I had to wear a frippen skirt all day. I have the same bet this year. Nothing has ever been as important as beating SC. I will get to wear real clothes while my Co manager will be wearing a lil red type costume. My boss will be crying in the corner. I want this win for me, to heck with the rest of you.

I see 9 potential losses after Wake Forest. If this team wins 7 or more games I'll be encouraged. Anything less, while impressed with recruiting I'll be equally unimpressed with this staff's ability to coach.
