  1. Maybe the hope was that Wilson would have the same problem, and with his better accuracy, would throw more INTs.

True, with Wilson's accuracy, he should have thrown far more interceptions. Unless he was just able to grasp the whole concept of home and away jersey's a little faster than Martinez could.

  2. Martinez's 3 interceptions should actually count as completions. Wisconsin's uniform looks so much like ours that Taylor got confused a few times on what color we were wearing. So in all reality, he feels pretty good about how accurate those throws were to the Wisconsin players. Some of the best passes he's thrown all year.

  3. He tackles like a guy who broke his damn leg last year and might still have a bit of apprehension about going balls out yet. The dude snapped his damn leg in two playing the way he used to play. That's something that might take a second to get over. The guy showed before his injury that he was going to be something special. I think he still will be, he just has to continue working through the mental part of overcoming an injury like that. There isn't a single person on this board that wouldn't get put on his ass if they stepped on the field with the kid, I can guarantee you that.

you gotta be kidding me. Don't come out and try to use an injury that he has recovered from well over 6 months now as an excuse to his piss poor play. If he has any apprehension to going balls out he should gtfo the field. If u wanna play like a vagina for a blackshirt defense then u deserve to be treated like one.

You guys could tip toe through the tulips and smell the flowers together. That would be a great Sunday for you. Maybe a picnic?

  4. I do agree

The title of this topic is right on though. I don't blame this game on Martinez ( atleast not completely), I don't blame our defense, or any other players. This coaching staff got their asses outcoached in every aspect. Preparation, game time adjustments, and player development. We were shown last night what a top ten team looks like. We aren't even close.

Wisconsin is the best team on our slate. Period, end of discussion. That team we played last night will not lose another game, and deserves to be in the top 5. Now, we are close. Look at how we played in the first quarter. Consistency is the key. If we wouldve stuck to our guns from the second on the game wouldve have been a lot closer.

I do agree with that for the most part. I think we are close. We have some very key positions we must improve at....but yeah we can compete with these guys. That's where I say the coaching aspect came into it. Why we didn't open that second half with a healthy dose of the run I don't know. I know the game was already a little out of hand, but I think we were having very good success on the ground. Our coaching staff panicked and the play calling changed for the worse. Pelini's yelling, screaming, and dirty looks obviously didn't give the defense any sort of extra boost of enthusiasm either.
