  1. I totally agree......Layne is to the Husker BB team as what Tara was to the Husker VB team. And now they are both gone! Hope everyone enjoyed the photos I posted. I was hoping to take alot more pictures this season, but unfortunately is wasn't meant to be.

  2. Last year I purchased tickets for the NCAA VB action for the first two rounds in Lincoln. I bought them the first day they were on sale only to discover that two days later I could have purchased better tickets that were returned from the visiting teams. Anyone got any advice? When is the best time to buy tickets for next weekends VB action? First thing Monday morning or wait until later this week and take a gamble?

  3. I am not sure I prefer the blonde look either. But she looks hot! And even though Coach Cook pulled her out of the game for awhile on Sunday, she is still one of my favorite players (and not just because she looks good). She played awesome at the Red-White game.

  4. Great night at the Coliseum on Saturday evening. The girls looked like they are eager to get the season started. Tara Mueller had a great night and Lindsay Licht stepped up and realy displayed some great volleyball skills. This should be a fun year!!!!!

  5. I was cruising through campus and stuck my head in the Coliseum just now. They were having a clinic and I stopped at the water fountain and waited for Morgan Broekhuis to fill up her water bottle, so I asked her how China went. She said it was great, they had a great time, they learned a LOT, and they even picked up some Chinese.

PS - Morgan is TALL. Looked me square in the eye. Nice person, too.

It was fun wathcing Morgan play during the spring exhibition game this year. I think she will be a key player in the fall. You are right..she is TALL! And yes, NICE person. She did really well intereacting with the fans after the spring game.post-7483-127668429961.jpgpost-7483-127668430946.jpg

  6. Was it just me or did Coach Yori not play Kayla Kuhlman very much last night? I didn't think she saw as many minutes as she has in the past. Was there a reason for the lack of playing time? Tough loss last night but what a season these gals gave us. We can all be proud of the Lady Huskers. I think it would be great if they held a end of the season rally at the Sports Center for these ladies.

  7. Just curious if anyone has received their tickets for the spring volley ballgame to be held in April? Does anyone know if the ticket office has sent them out? I herad they were to go out in late February, but I still haven't seenmine in my mailbox. Whats the hold up?

  8. Last week the men's and women's basketball games were back to back...which made it a traffic hazard for people trying to leave one game and attend another. Its happening again this Saturday. The men play first and the women to follow shortly afterwards. Parking becomes a problem, entering and exiting the fairgrounds is chaos, and the situation takes the fun out of attending these events. Why are the games scheduled so close together? I have no interest in attending the men's game, but am planning to see the women play. But by the time I get to the Sports Center there will be no parking spaces. And to wait for people to leave the men's game will be nothing but a nightmare.

  9. As the popularity of the women's basketball team continues to grow, so does the crowd. What I have noticed is that alot of people are taking advantage of the popcorn box tops. As you probably know the top of each popcorn box allows free admission for up to five people to different sporting events except for football, volleyball and men's basketball. Therefore, alot of fans are taking advantage of using those box tops to come see the women play for free. Those seats are non-reserved seating and are in C-section beginning with Row 19. If that is the route you take, its best to be there when the doors open 90 minutes before tip-off. Otherwise go to Huskers.com and you can purhcase tickets. The team benches I believe are on the north side. Hope that helps.

  10. Hopefully the VB team can stay well. Reading the latest story in the paper Mueller is under the weather with the same stuff Delano had a couple of weeks ago and McNeal had last weekend. How unfortunate if other members of the team come down with the same bug for the weekend. Anyone know these girls personally who can tell us if it is just a flu bug or what are they battling?
