  1. how many games has tm started?...i truly believed that carnes would turn out better than tm over a period of time if given the chance....i dont care about tm's blazing straightline speed , i just want a qb that can distribute the ball and make the basic throws when needed...right now i just think that bo have already made up his mind that he's gonna ride the tm wagon through heaven or hell...call it stubborness

  2. that martinez is better than robinson? I remember that there were quite a few husker fans that were saying Martinez was faster and better last year, so i was wondering if those fans still had that belief.

    can

no way tm is better than dennard...tm is just a fast north south runner...ever see tm tryin to run east and west?....not as fast as you would think..dennard is quick, elusive and fast...dennard atleast can make the easy pass...and you can see that he have improved as a passer each year...anybody ever seen dennard throwing the ball in his first year?..terrible!!..but if you go back to his second season you can see that his mechganics have gotten better and decision making was also better...not sayin he's peyton manning or anything...tm on the other hand, have not shown any improvement at all from year one to year two...if anything, he seems to be going backward...forget about the stats for a second....

  3.

Here's the problem. Bo plays the best guys. We know this.

Not to get off the subject, but why does Tim Marlowe return kicks?.....or play WR.

hehe...thought i was the only one asking that same question...is he really the best option when we have guys like aaron green, braylon heard and jamal turner sitting on the bench?

  4. I'll get torched for this, but what the heck it's my opinion and how I feel so I'll put my thoughts out there anyway.

Does no one see the similarities so far this year to how last year started. My goodness, he was being mentioned in Heisman talk midway into the season, until we ran into high caliber Big X11 defenses with superior athletes. I know he was injured, but he was completely ineffective, and even injured wasn't going to continue with the eye-popping numbers. And yes, I really do know much of that was Watson

Yes, his stats look really inpressive, but c'mon, does anyone really think those back footed lobs are going to continue to work when we start playing the big boys with real defenses? We're basing an awfull lot off a throw that Turner adjusted well to and made the catch, and another throw to a wide-open receiver in the corner of the endzone, every QB in the country could have made that throw. The shorter, quicker throws are still more often than not off the mark, usually behind the receiver and not catchable.

I realize he's most likely our best option. But for those who state that he is our best QB, no questions asked, how do we know for sure? We haven't even seen Carnes get any meaningful time, and he had option called on I believe five of his six snaps. How can we really know what he might be able to do.

I know Martinez is homerun hitter and many of our problems stem from other areas (namely that OL). But I can't believe the amount of people who are completely sold on him as being our answer. If anyone asks a reasonable question that does question him, they get shouted down quickly (I'm expecting mine soon).

Yes he's a sophmore, but after two games, does anyone think he has shown improvement over last year? His strenghs are still the same (he's fast and a threat to go all the way) as are his weaknesses (no pocket presence, poor accuracy, horrible ball security). At this point, I think he has a long way to go to being mentioned in the same group as our other QB's (Frost, Frazier, Crouch), and our team around Crouch wasn't anytning to right home about either. I'm just concerned that this year looks an awful lot like last year.

Just my thoughts on him. I hope I'm proven completely wrong, and what they worked on in the offseason starts to show itself soon. But at this point, this season looks to me an awfull lot like last year, and nobody liked how that ended.

totally agreed....yeah he's fast and all but that's about it...can anybody tell me that he's improved at all from last year?...still makes poor decision throwing the ball...i thought his mechanic would improve somewhat but man he still throws that thing like a loaf of bread...even on the easy throws he's just not very accurate...most of his throws were either behind the wr or at their feet...the guy can't hit a barn if his life depends on it...ball security is really bad...

  5. carnes supposedly has good relationship with the wku coach, who was a former manatee qb,..that part, i could understand...if i was one of the top dual threat qb in the nation and my high school coach, whom i'm comfortable with, takes a job at hasting college.. would i follow him there? i don't think so...i know crackheads that makes more sense than that...tell me one one thing that wku has on nu whether it's academic or athletic..none

  6. to even think that western kentucky is in the race to sign carnes just makes me wanna laugh...if you're brion carnes and you have a choice of choosing nu or western kentucky...SERIUOUSLY western kentucky????... you're an elite prospect and you want to play at the highlest level, you choose nu...

  7. burning bridges...that's what he did...bet you he feels kind of dumb now after seeing nu demolished arizona..he coulda just decommit from nu and leave it at that in case he changes his mind, but no, he had to go out talkin trash about nu...now, even if he wanted to , i don't think nu wants him back ..NOT very smart curtis..

  8. ..it's like a baby learning to walk..when the baby falls down, do you stop him from ever trying to walk again so he doesn't get hurt?...noooo!!!..i feel like this is exactly what's going on with our offense...the minute we make a mistake in our passing game watson would get so scare that he would just abandon it...not a good way to get better in my opinion...people kept sayin' how bad our WRs are but then again we don't throw to them enough or open up the offense enough to give them a chance to get better....mistakes are gonna happen but they're not gonna get better by going away from doin' what they want to do..
