  2. Boo...I feel like if NU has to compete with Miami for a kid, we shouldn't want that kid. The 2 schools are exact opposites in their football values. Miami makes me sick. Bleh!!!

Well Nebraska has produced some pretty big scumbags too so lets not be throwing rocks inside our glass house.

Also I personally think Randy Shannon is starting to whip that school into shape, they are nowhere near as bad as they used to be.

We have had our fair share of scumbags...true

But never been referred to as Thug U ;) just sayin'

But good news on the top 5

  3. According to OrangeBloods (Texas Rivals site) Onyegbule received an offer from Texas on Friday (2/12) and accepted it on the spot. As expected, Miles will be a Longhorn.

The beast of Texas has awoken. All High School Juniors watch out, it's on the prowl...

    :steam:ahhhhhhhh

It's a scary beast, at that. He'll wander from Texas town to town, gobbling whichever recruits he pleases. The good news for the rest of the country is that he should lay down to slumber once again when he always does... when it comes time for Texas to meet expectations on the field.

    :yeah:hookerhorns

  4. I hope so too. Mu is trying to make the tourney for the 8th straight season, but they had a pretty large turnover on their roster. 3 straight pitchers going in the first round over the last 3 years doesnt help them either.

From what I have heard/seen Nebraska is expecting a nice turn around from last year.

I am interested to see what happens with KU and some of the other teams that are bunched in the Middle. I would not be surprised to see both MU and NE higher at seasons end.

I'm ok finishing 9th as long as Mizzou finishes 10th ;)

In all seriousness, we aren't picked to do much (and maybe its because i'm a homer :)) but I think we will suprise some people

    Go Big Red Baseball!!

  5. because he was way behind last fall. Had he had spring ball, he would have contended much earlier. If baseball is his sport of choice, why didn't he take a baseball scholly and also play football?

Because the baseball team gets something like 11 scholarships for 35 players, and nobody gets a full ride. Thanks NCAA.

    Yea that is ridiculous...stupid NCAA

  6. If Green knows he is coming to Nebraska I hope he commits soon,it will only help us in pickup top recruits.

That is the only reason stars are important....not because its a true ranking of a player, but because other recruits want to play with who are "perceived" the best by their star rankings.

  7. Enough of these preseason prognostications...

LETS PLAY SOME DAMN FOOTBALL ALREADY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Best to calm it down a notch, or you're in for a very, very, very long off-season. Might I suggest hibernation?

I think I may have to try out this hibernation thing you speak of.

But not till after the baseball team tanks :(

  8. HI is reporting that Standard was "blown away" by KU's junior day. His parent's came along as well and his father was so impressed that he put KU at the top of his list. Standard says he won't put out his top list yet, but said KU was around the the top. We'll need to have a badass junior day and show him what a real atmosphere is all about. He also mentioned that he loved the coaches and how the whole stadium was....whatever color the gayhawks are. anyway, he's pretty high on them. we need to turn this around. he is still planning on visiting us at the end of the month for our junior day

I still feel pretty confident about Mr. Standard. Turner is gonna be tough to recruit against :(. But I Bolieve.

  9. Well, for some reason Texas doesn't seem to have much of a problem with players leaving for the pros. They always have a roster full of kids that should be long gone. explain to me how erik bird gets drafted and brandon workman and josh urban don't. My theory is that Augie pays better than most farm clubs and probably some pro teams. god i hate texas.

Um.... because Workman was a non draft eligible sophomore....And urban went in the 19th round... Bird was a senior... And UT loses people, but because of their location, its easier for them to keep borderline draft picks, and they have the ability to over sign because they know they will lose people in the draft.

    Good Explaination

  10. According to HI, Reeves received an offer from Stanford. Furthermore, his HS coach received a phone call from USC's OL coach to see if there was any possible interest from Reeves in the Trojans, but the coach told them he was firmly committed to the Huskers.

    Great to hear!!

    Screw you Lane Kiffin :steam:nutz
