  1. My sister and parents will be at that game. I will ask them how it goes down.

Why on God's green earth would you subject them to that? bad blood?

My sister is a student at CU. Parents are visiting her that weekend.

Ha ha! A Michigan fan named "Manhattan" with a sister at CU? Don't take this the wrong way--but you have some pretty screwed up demographics. :)

    I am not a M*ch*gan fan. :madash

    I'm an Ohio State student/fan.

If you want the whole breakdown:

(We're From NY, this is a list of relevant football fans in my immediate family, not entire family, as I have six sister and four parents.)

    Me: Ohio State

    Twin Sister: Colorado

    Stepsister 1: USC

    Stepsister 2: Northwestern

    Dad: Yale

    Stepdad: Notre Dame

  2. First and foremost, Sigma Alpha Mu is a traditionally Jewish fraternity. They accept members outside of the Jewish faith/heritage today, but some would rather not be associated with the relationship. Make your own decision.

That works out for me because I am Jewish. Half of the chapter at OSU is from New York and New Jersey, so there is a good connection already. Thankfully, no guidos. I'll be able to tell if I really like the fraternity in the coming weeks. I am also going to an AEPi dinner tomorrow. I have been told to avoid TKE.

  3. So I went to my first OSU frat party last at Sigma Alpha Mu (Sammy). It is the largest frat house in the country and they hosted an unbelievable party. Terrelle Pryor even showed up. The brothers were all very friendly and showed me a good time. I didn't think I would ever consider joining a fraternity, but now I am considering rushing for this fraternity. Do any of you have experiences with fraternities? What are the benefits of being in one? How much of a time commitment are they? What sort of hazing goes on?

    Thanks in advance.

  4. I just woke up thinking about this. Don't know why.

The apartment I live in is numbered 909, here in NYC,

    Located on 666 Greenwich St.

My dorm room at Ohio State is numbered 303,

    Located on 101 Curl Drive,

    Zip code 43210.

My NYC area code is 212,

The area code of Columbus, Ohio, is 614, which doesn't seem like a correlation until:

    212 = II I II

    614 = VI I IV

The last four digits of my phone number are 6481, which is eight-squared, nine squared (8x8 = 64, 9x9 = 81).

  5. I found a great Big Ten tailgate guide at an Ohio State tailgate site:

    http://www.cletusfest.org/bigten.htm

They review the tailgate experience at all Big Ten schools. Here is how they rate them (they have a guide explaining why):

Wisconsin: :star :star :star :star :star

Penn State: :star :star :star :star :star

    Minnesota: :star :star :star :star

Ohio State: :star :star :star :star

Michigan State: :star :star :star :star

    M*ch*gan: :star :star :star

    Purdue: :star :star :star

    Illinois: :star :star

    Northwestern: :star :star

Iowa: :star (EDIT: It appears their Iowa review got mixed up with their Indiana review somehow. This can't be right.)

    Indiana: :star

  6. I hear Ohio State doesn't have such an impressive tailgate scene, and from looking around the campus, I think the fact that it is urban inhibits a lot of tailgating. I've tailgated at Wisconsin, USC, Colorado, and Yale, and I would put them in order like this:

Wisconsin >>>>> USC > Yale (quite impressive actually, especially against Harvard) >> Colorado

Looking forward to tailgating at Ohio State soon and I'll let you guys know how it compares. Wisconsin was truly amazing, by the way. Yale is great because all of the tailgating takes place on green fields nestled near the bowl and not actual parking lots, so it is really a great picnic atmosphere. Lots of room to throw the football around and what not. The walk to the bowl is also very cool.

  7. Never wear another teams colors........EVER.

    what about wisconsin? :dunno

I think he means "colors" in a broader term, like their identifying fabric. Like how battle standards are referred to as "colors". The fact that Nebraska shares common colors with Wisconsin doesn't mean that either fan base is treasonous for dually wearing the others' colors. It would only be so if you actually wore Wisconsin merchandise. :thumbs

    :sarcasm

  8. Cant get rid of the N on the side IMO.

I agree, it just gives you two helmet options so I decided to go with a "modernized" version of the throwback helmets from last year.

Since there is a second option, you should have done the smart move and made the helmets a hot magenta. Pink has been shown to lower the aggression of people viewing it. In Iowa, they paint the entire visitor's locker room pink for this reason.
