I didn't read it verbatim, but there is a post with this same e-mail over at HP, so I imagine it is legit.

On to the topic, I agree with those that said Pinkel. #2 on that list is probably Barnett, but for some reason CU seems afraid to fire him.

Wanstadt was the first to be offered, but then was retained. That was the initail plan by SP. He had confirmation as most felt Wanstadt would be fired by Miami.

Urban Meyers was a consideration, but he had no interest in Nebraska. Most top coaches had no interest in Nebraska... Too much preasure to win, firing a 9-3 coach, talent considered to be mid to low level in the Big 12. No matter what our thoughts of this program at that time, we were not considered to have the talent to compete with top 25 teams. We are lucky to have gotten the level of coaches we got. Who knows if they are good enought to return us to power, but they are what we have and we need to endorse them until they have proven they can or can not do the job. Way to early to tell either way.

Gotcha skersfan about Wannstedt. I remember hearing his name mentioned, but this was so long ago that I couldn't remember the details.

Agreed, we are fortunate to have the quality coaches we have. I believe they will be returning us to power.

From what I have heard, Wanstedt (sp?) was pud's first choice.

That is only because you were on the waiting list, not to the general public. I got one of those for the Texas Tech game and was able to buy 4 tickets to that.

I wasn't signed into Huskers.com ticket section and was still able to see they are for sale. Looks like it is open to the public to buy.

This was in 2003, not 2005 though.

One of the two current Nebraska football players listed as potential witnesses in a case involving an alleged Lincoln steroid ring was suspended from the team in 2003 for failing a drug test, his father said Wednesday.

 

Current fullback Grant Miller, one teammate and 11 former Huskers are included in a 132-person witness list filed in Lancaster County Court.

Can't say I've had the lasagna. The pizza tastes better when it's been sitting out for about an hour or so. Someone also mentioned Big Fred's. That place used to be good, but it seems like their pizza has gone way downhill.

Yes, Zio's does rock. Although it is a different style of pizza.

Zio's is ok. They have a decent lunch deal at the Old Market location, 2 pieces and a pop for under $5. I like Bernies... it's a whole in the wall in Millard.

There used to be a Mexican resteraunt called La Fonda on Center St near Office Depot. Now this has been a few years ago, so I don't know if it is still there. I remember it being pretty good at the time.

It's still there. Tucked in near the dollar store that used to be KMart.

I don't like Romeo's, Julio's, and the worst of all for me is Senior Matias. The few times I've been there it's been terrible service and the food wasn't that good.

I've heard Azteca (near I-80 and Highway 50) is pretty good, never been there myself though. My favorite is actually a run down place called Netties in Bellevue. I don't think they take credit cards, but I like their food. Fernando's on 114th and Dodge isn't to bad either.

Those OU guys are great at farks. The ones of Bradley are also really funny.

Most of the NFL preseason is, but it satisfies the football addict in us until the real stuff comes along.

I would say something, but I think all of the nebraksa faithful would hang me on a cross and burn me as a witch or something, so I think I will keep my mouth shut.

We only do that for extreme cases.

Nebraska fans should never chrage the field to take the goal posts down, because we expect to win every game.

This is what I was thinking. I wouldn't be mad/surprised if people stormed the field (heck, I want the opportunity to know what would happen if we whip OU) though.

I LOVE the Italian Runza. The swiss cheese mushroom burger is perhaps the best burger I've ever had. I also love their onion rings.
