  1. sun i have to go all out against you on this one.

Oregon having new uniforms for every game is just weak. They only have had one or two uniform combinations I have liked this year.

I like Va Tech's uniforms. They seemed pretty cool.

Ohio State's were a throwback salute to someone for one game which I have no problem with.

I thought Miami's jerseys were pretty cool.

  2. Let me make this perfectly clear! I AM NOT SAYING I WANT NEBRASKA TO DO THIS!!!!!!

But the Mountaineers flat black helmets were pretty damn cool.

As much as I despise Mizzou, their flat black helmets were bada$$.

the black on black or whatever you want to call it was pretty cool.

Gosh, the insults keep coming. and No i only like COD but nice try :)

Out of curiosity, what did you find insulting about that post? I think I missed something... ?

probaby the reference that the only reason my boyfriend is dating me is because i like video games.

not what i meant, but it does make you an easy target for a large portion of the male population...a lot of men i know enjoy video games and not many women i know enjoy them...if you know otherwise, go ahead and refute me

  4. You gotta love the Griese-Brees Quarterback of the Year Trophy. Griese-Brees? Sounds like a wet fart to me...

Also, I'm getting sick of Husker fans b*tching about every little thing when something doesn't go our way or someone says something negative about our team. Get over yourselves. Believe it or not, Nebraska is not the center of the universe, nor is it God's chosen land. Who cares if we got one trophy named after a Husker? Have we ever played a down in the Big Ten? Seems to me a majority of Husker fans would b*tch if someone handed them a wrinkly $100 bill instead of a crisp $5...

Amen about the bitching. This year its "Big XII wants to screw us over so we don't leave a winner" next year it will be "Big 10 doesn't want us to win our first year" Blah blah blah people are always looking for excuses, but no one ever just says "We got outplayed"

we have been over this before

    :troll:

    please

Who the F you calling a troll? Better not be me just because I call it as I see it.

I give u respect man. You have a hundred or so posts. The guy commenting on yours has 4 post when I say this and he obviously is looking for an uproar. "Outplayed"

  5. If he's gone, he's gone, we will still need to be balanced to be effective. It's not 1995 anymore, people need to realize this.

Why do people say stuff like this? Like the 1995 offense wasn't balanced? If I recall correctly, the first touchdown scored in the national championship game was a passing touchdown, by Nebraska.

There are lots of ways to be balanced. You can use the run to set up the pass. The 1995 offense, and basically all of Osborne's offenses, were tremendous at that. They'd go 5 yards up the middle, 3 yards around end, 4 yards up the middle, 4 yards up the middle, 3 yards up the middle, 6 yards around end, and then 40 yards over the top on playaction. Our offense this year has been like that at times, so threatening with big runs on the ground that we've been able to pop Kyler Reed for big plays on playaction.

Part of what is disturbing about Watson's offense this year is how much less effective they were running the ball once Martinez was hurt. Once they lost that home run threat, the offense didn't know what it was anymore. Instead of asking 3rd year starter Roy Helu or 2nd year co-starter Rex Burkhead to plow forward for 2-4 yards, we'd go into a west coast styled passing game, where we ask a redshirt freshman QB still raw in the passing game to make short throws that are all about timing and accuracy, and 50% of the time we'd waste a down in the process, also putting us into 2nd/3rd and long situations. Even when we complete those passes, the result is the same as a short run, and doesn't help to set up the run like the vertical passing game does. Rather than play to our strengths, we played to our weaknesses, and we seemed to lack the strategy and commitment needed to set up a strong running game once we didn't have two home-run threats on the field at the same time. That's just something we should be able to do, especially given the tools we had this year even without a healthy Martinez at QB.

this is what played to cody greens strengths...the man isn't a great passer but line him up under center to hand it off to our two headed monster and ask him to complete short throws once in a while and he puts on a good performance. Why could watson see that cody could handle a similar style that involved more under center attack with a grind it out philosophy. I still believe that cody green could have and should have done wonders in the big 12 title.

Once again, could of does us nothing but why not let him try? Martinez has shown a complete lack of consistency throwing the ball all year long and we rely on his shoulder when the season is on the line. Why?

  6. All I see in this thread is the fact that Nebraska needs to adapt and evolve. Well this awesome evolution that Watson revealed to us this year was the zone read with a mobile quarterback with limited throwing ability. The only problem is that this has been done already by Texas. It got them a national title 5 years ago. Defense have seen this and with proper athletes have no problem stopping it. Texas also had one of the best QB's of their program running it. Texas simply knew what we were running that game along with everyone in the stands and Texas has the athletes to stop it. The only trick up Watson's sleeve was to come out in a new formation and do it again. Watson really needed to adapt as the year progressed and we saw more talented teams and we simply didn't.

Watson has showed two years running he has no backup plan if his ideas don't work. He does the same plan all year long until it is figured out and then reverts the offense into a shell not to lose the ball to the other team. This either means that backups don't know how to get involved into the system after injuries or he doesn't have a philosophy that can be met by everyone on the team. THIS IS WHAT NEEDS TO BE CHANGED BY HIM OR A STAFF CHANGE.

  7. I would like:

    1) A Watsonectomy

    2) Tyrone Fahie to get some good PT in the bowl game

    3) A linebackers coach who will make them a feared unit

    4) An off season full of lively conversation on HuskerBoard

    Ha!

    My wish list:

    1) A new OL coach

    2) A mega OC. EZ, you serious about Jon Gruden? Please say so :)

    3) Please find some miracle way to keep Bubba Starling...

    4) A bowl game win

    5) Bo being a good boy so Santa will leave him some holiday cheer, and his heart can grow three times as big, even when facing referees.

  9. I like a 8 team system where if you have already played a team the only way you can meat them is in the title game. Also, then make it that no conference should send more than two teams to the bracket. All other bowls would be intact.
