one word, three syllables:
BUGEATERS
In a funky sort of way, I like it!

Since this will be our 125th anniversary season, I think a throwback uni of some sort would be far more cool than a futuristic alternate uni.
-
Read it and laughed my head off!
A fun side of Bo and it's great to see.
-
I hope it's not handed to Armstrong. Stanton should get a fair shot. Competition is good.
-
Like the concept but not a fan of the years on the leg or really anywhere else on the uniform. Makes it look too much like we are living in the past.
One thing I would like to see on our regular unis is an outline of the state of Nebraska on the back of the jersey above the player's name. Several teams do it and I think it's cool.

Bo needs to embrace the fans whether he wants to or not. Without the fans there is no football program.
I was ready for Bo to be gone but will get behind him if he shows even a little appreciation and ends the "us against them" mentality.
-
Blame the media for this mess? That's like blaming the media that Obamacare doesn't work.
-
If I'm Bo I make no changes. I just got a vote of confidence from my boss, nobody that matters cares how I behave, and enough of the fanbase is content with losing four games, three to lesser opponents. Why should I change anything for these f'ing fans? Screw em, they'll miss me when I'm gone.
Well said.

I know most on this board have something against Dirk Chatelain, but I like him. Even though I don't always agree, I still enjoy reading his stuff.
Here's his latest from the Mad Chatter blog:
Somebody needs to stick up for young Tom Osborne. Specifically, somebody needs to confront this narrative that Tom’s growing pains = Bo’s growing pains. -
Bad luck, including bad calls, happen to all teams at some point, so I'm not looking into "what if this had happened in this game or that game". What about all the games that we didn't have bad luck / bad calls and still lost? Those are the games that bother me.

Could have added - Nebraska loosing to Minn and MSU- settling in at the 5th best team in the Big 10
I had the same thought, but apparently it's not a big surprise.

I realize that people on this board get nasty with any member of the media who would dare question the direction of the program, but I agree with this column - it's the same thing season after season and we should expect more.

Amazing how many times Nebraska is mentioned.
The Thing About Memorial: The inscriptions on the façade of the stadium. My favorite is, "Not the victory but the action." My other favorite about Memorial is the people. The fans are sophisticated and they respect the opposing teams, two qualities rare in college football. -
How early in the week do they announce where they're going?

The Wolverines have the biggest stadium, the longest history and one of the coolest helmets. But they have accrued only one national championship in 65 years. They have gone nine years without a Big Ten championship. They have gone six years without a victory over a top-10 opponent.

For the past three seasons, a Michigan player has switched his jersey number for the season to wear Howard’s No. 21 as part of the Michigan legacy jersey program. Senior wide receiver Jeremy Gallon wears No. 21 this season, and is the third wide receiver to represent the Heisman Trophy winner.
“I think it’s a fantastic honor. I was humbled by it when the athletic director Dave Brandon came up with the concept.”

He's not fat, he's fluffy.

Not to be "conspiracy" guy but could this mean that he knows he will be coaching with Bo next year at a place that is not NU?
I hope they are coaching at a place next year that is not NU.

Bo Pelini visited with radio host Bill King on Wednesday morning to talk about the current state of the Nebraska football program.
Anyone who listened would have to agree the interview was “awkward.”
-
So basically...you've got talent out there, but you can't coach them to stop a run game that you couldn't stop last year, haven't figured it out this year, so...let's just add insult to injury at this point.
Well said.

No one outside of Chancellor Harvey Perlman and Athletic Director Shawn Eichorst knows for sure if Nebraska coach Bo Pelini is truly on the hot seat.
What is clear is that mind-numbing losses like Saturday's in the sixth year of a regime are what put coaches in administrators' crosshairs. So I wouldn't be shocked if things have heated up substantially following the debacle at Minnesota.

OU's new helmets. I like the white one.
