    says Nebraska and Georgia Tech are his favorites. His cousin is Steve Taylor and has another cousin that is a basketball recruit for NU.

     

    with the family connection, you have got to love NU's chances.

    The formation of the Big 12 ruined it. Period. My only hope is that a decision is made soon that when OU and NU play, it's played the day after Thanksgiving. At least this way not all of the history and tradition is destroyed like it is right now.

    Purify's attorney asks for continuance on charges

    An attorney for Nebraska wide receiver Maurice Purify asked for a continuance Thursday morning in Lancaster County Court, where he’s facing misdemeanor charges.

     

    The charges — two counts of assault, trespassing, refusing to comply with police and hindering an arrest — stem from a May 5 altercation at a downtown Lincoln bar in which Purify was allegedly involved.

     

    The judge has yet to rule on his attorney’s request for a continuance.

     

    The 21-year-old senior from Eureka, Calif., also is facing charges from a June 8 incident in which he was cited for suspicion of driving while intoxicated after being stopped by the Nebraska State Patrol at North First Street and Cornhusker Highway.

     

    Purify’s blood alcohol level was 0.138, authorities have said. The legal limit in Nebraska is 0.08.

     

    Arguably the Huskers’ most potent weapon on offense, Purify was suspended indefinitely from the team after the June 8 stop.

     

    His attorney, Jon Braaten of Lincoln, has said Purify had been authorized to apply for pretrial diversion for the May 5 incident and had been in the process of deciding whether to sign up.

    What are the stars supposed to mean?

    i am only guessing, but it is probably the number of stars that the recruiting services gave them when they were being recruited

     

    That would be correct. Just a differant way too look at what kind of team we might have if you give recruiting services any credence....

    Press conference tomorrow @ 2pm?? This is all according to the Matt Perrault show. They are playing Oregon there and now Creighton fan is pissed.

     

    Listen Perrault.....they had to play at a neutral sight and it only makes sense to play it at a venue 50 miles away. Plus it's Omaha's facility with Omaha's money. He's just pissed because Dana's back rub last night wasn't as sensual as usual and the spooning was a little lackluster..........

    There seems to be an update on HI -- any idea what's going on???

    he was supposed to be at NU's camp, but Jimmy Miller got hurt at TCU's Camp andwasnt going to be able to go to NU's. Bryce was riding with Miller's so he didnt make it to the camp

     

    That's too bad on Millers part. He seemed to be on the verge of getting an offer....
