  1. Quick ? -- when is the latest you can sign a LOI? Maybe we will hear nothing today and possibly have to wait a couple of days.....late
  2. Guys I am still not finding anything about him sending in his LOI to the Beavers. They do have a Ross who did but he's an OL from Illinois! Yeah this is strange. Rivals doesn't have us as a commit anymore but neither is ASU and OSU. This is getting more bizare by the minute....
  3. Kills our class? Really? One flaky corner that can't commit to a pare of shoes cannot and should not kill our class.....
  4. Seriously guys, did we really want this guy? He was a soft verbal, then a solid commit, then he takes trips to Oregon State and Arizona State but still tells all that he is solid and then now chooses the Beavers. I'll take the other 27 guys who WANT to be Huskers. Enjoy the class that we have not the two guys who decided to go elsewhere....late GBR
  5. Just signed with OU..... Good luck.....or whatever
  6. Alright, prediction time for all of the guys with the "info": Will Coach Callahan be talking about Ross at his press conf.?
  7. He hasn't committed to OU yet...Trust me. When it comes to this time of the year, I don't trust anyone or anything.....
  8. Well Eric we can always count on you to keep hope alive! Man we need this kid! He needs some loving text messages!!! Hell now I am too nervous to continue opening this thread after I see updated messages! Rivals radio still thinks he'll sign with NU Man, this is exactly why I love and loathe this day.....
  9. Well Eric we can always count on you to keep hope alive! Man we need this kid! He needs some loving text messages!!! When are we expecting our West Coast kids to start signing?
  10. What is the appeal of Dennis Erickson? Seriously????
  11. I agree with ya Eric....I just read those same rumors. This aint looking so good for us! Are we talking academics or are we talking about what his new dorm is going to look like in Corvallis?
  12. I completely agree with you. There has been nothing shown that has ever solidified his commitment. I wouldn't be surprised if Ross ends up as a Beaver, a Sooner, a Duck or hell even a Mav...
  13. This guy has MIKE linebacker written all over him......welcome aboard!!!!!
  14. Umm what the? Where did you hear this?
  15. When I say D-line I mean moving him inside. If it's true that Pierre Allen is up to 260, I can easily see him get some serious playing time at a congested strongside DE spot with Steinkuhler, Townsend, Tony Sullivan, Harvey (if he stays at SDE), Mike Smith (if he is a DE) and Ben Martin (if he also stays a DE). Plus, with a lack of solid depth at DT, we could really use his frame and his power.
  16. All of these guys can, could, should or will change positions. Where do you think they'll end up at? David Harvey DE or TE Clayton Sievers LB or TE Jordan Picou OL or DL Zach Potter DL or DE Prince Amukamara WR or DB Ty Steinkuhler DL or DE Travis Lewis LB or FS Eric Hagg WR or DB Joseph Townsend DL or DE Roy Helu LB or S Zach Bowman CB or S (some speculation is that he could move here if the knee doesn’t repair suitably) Mike Smith DE or OL LaTravis Washington LB or S Ben Martin OL or DE Ricky Thenarse CB or S Anthony West CB or S Corey McKeon MIKE or SAM Phillip Dillard MIKE or SAM Lance Brandenburgh MIKE or SAM Bo Ruud WILL or SAM AND Beau Davis QB or North Stadium janitor
  17. This guy isn't running from Nebraska, he is sprinting...... http://www.dailynews.com/sports/ci_5090691 UCLA football notes: Bruins talk to Nebraska offensive coordinator BY BRIAN DOHN, Staff Writer Article Last Updated: 01/25/2007 11:56:57 PM PST Nebraska offensive coordinator Jay Norvell interviewed for UCLA's vacant offensive coordinator position, sources said Thursday. Norvell spent the past three seasons leading Nebraska's offense after a two-year stint coaching tight ends with the Oakland Raiders. The Cornhuskers were 17th in the nation in scoring (30.6 ppg) and 14th in total offense (414.6 ypg) in 2006. When Steve Axman was fired as UCLA's offensive coordinator after the 2003 season, sources said Norvell was one of the coaches Dorrell interviewed. The job eventually went to Tom Cable, who is in the mix again. Cleveland Browns quarterbacks coach Rip Scherer and former North Carolina and Fresno State offensive coordinator Frank Cignetti also spoke with Dorrell about the position. Cable, who spent last season with the Atlanta Falcons, has been contacted by Dorrell about a return to Westwood, sources said. Also: Former UCLA receiver Junior Taylor will play in the inaugural Texas vs. The Nation all-star game at 7 p.m. Feb. 2 in El Paso, Texas. The game will be broadcast on CSTV. ... Ex-UCLA kicker Justin Medlock will participate in the State Farm College Football All-Star Challenge on Jan. 30 at the Orange Bowl and broadcast
  18. This was taken from another board: Big Red Report contacted David Ross’s head coach Willie Donerson to address Ross’s current status as a recruit. “He didn’t commit. He visited Oregon State this last week, but I know he didn’t commit,” Donerson said. “But I know David’s mom even called up Bill Busch (Safeties coach at the University of Nebraska) before he went on that visit.” So, why the visit? His coach had a pretty simple explanation for that: “Some of these kids have never gotten out of the city much less the state and this is the only way they can get to see other places,” Donerson said. “When David took that trip to Nebraska, that was the first time he’d ever even been on a plane.” As to the recent report by the Portland Tribune about Ross committing in the last 24 hours, he was not all that surprised. “I know the (Oregon State) coaches came to do an in-home with David last night and he wasn’t even there,” he said. “But you know how this stuff goes. One player sees a friend go there, they talk about playing together and all that. It’s fun for them and that’s usually how stuff like this gets started.” “But he’s a Husker. I know that and I don’t see it changing.” Donerson did also say that following Ross’s visit to Oregon State, Nebraska head coach Bill Callahan went in-house with the Ross family just to see if anything was wrong. According to Donerson, that Ross basically squashed any thoughts as to him heading somewhere else.
  19. apparantly he has decommited and now is commited to Oregon State... Link: http://www.portlandtribune.com/sports/stor...915888703812800

  21. The head coach is staying.....period. So put some focus on the assistant coaches as changes NEED to be made. My prediction and my wish is to make Norvell and Watson co-coordinators and make Bill (and here’s a fresh concept) just the head coach. AND get rid of Mr. Laryngitis Coach Elmo and make ONE secondary coach. Either make Busch, who is the best recruiter we have, the secondary coach or take the linebackers coaching duties away from Coz and give them to coach Busch. Then hire a nice young secondary coach who can, um, I don't know -- TEACH....
  22. WOW talk about optimism..... We will not beat USC....period. As much as I love Nebraska, USC will more than likely be ranked in the top 3 and just return way too much talent. Plus they will not all be intimiated by Memorial Stadium. At night, at midnight at 4 in the morning it doesn't matter, they will not be scared. But other than USC, I think every game we have a legit shot at winning....
