  1. The Liberal/Progressive/Socialist way, blame everyone else!

“California has some of the toughest gun control laws of any state,” Brown said. “And Nevada and Arizona are wide open, so that’s a gigantic back door through which any terrorist can walk.”

Gotta love the new ISIS leader, Climate Bin Changin.

"The weapons used in the atrocity committed by Sayed Riswan Farook and Tashfeen Malik were purchased legally in California. Brown delayed his trip to the UN Summit on climate change by one day and told the newspaper the investigation into the shooting is a federal matter. Brown along with other world leaders are in France to negotiate an agreement on climate change."

  2. The Feds and Webster's want the population to believe Islam is just a religion and the Mosque is just a house of worship.

Islam is also (contrary to the belief of sheeple) a form of government, in that it dictates how people should be controlled and live under Islam. It sets rules about financial investment, use of currency/banking, commercial conduct.

    snip

    Fixed it for ya.

  3. What's next? Will some Presidential candidate suggest we should block everyone of a certain religion from coming into the US?

While I don't support Trump I love his "shock value".

Everyone should know that the Mosque is a base of operations; their sanctuary, their place to store arms and munitions, their place to plan, their place to teach their followers.

Almost all of the attacks on US soil have links to a Mosque close by.

From the liberal NY Post earlier this year:

Almost appears as if the enemy is here, conducting an insurgency, with the cooperation of our leadership. Ya think???

Stay tuned, it's just the beginning.

  4. I was a Marine infantryman. If women want to be a grunt then more power to them. However, the standards had better not be lowered one bit. The men's PFT standard ought to be the standard across the board now if they want this to go over well. If a woman can hack it, then she can hack it. Infantry units are full of drunk, crass, idiots (as the should be) but they're also the best fit for the type of job they're in. I hope they have thick skin and don't go running to 1st Sergeant everyday. Grunt life sucks and they'll realize that soon enough.

I was as well, 1/7 Weapons, '86-'94. Couldn't agree with you more on the content of your post but as we know the standards ARE different.

The SECDEF is directing the full integration of women in the Armed Forces, they might as well start implementing that all female U.S. citizens be required to register with Selective Service between the age of 18 through 25. Right? Why wasn't that statement in the tri-signed document?

Like you said if a female can hack it physically all the power to them but I just simply don't see a female finishing a MCCRES or 4,6,8,12 mile ruck runs at 9:00 pace? Full kit with heavy weapons? Please. I just can't imagine it. Hell, I don't see them doing half of the crazy sh#t we did in boot camp, ITS/SOI at the same standards required of a man. I'd like to see the most roided out Crossfit female give it a shot but I'm skeptical.

It all doesn't pass the "smell test" with me. I'm afraid our pc politicians are dictating to the career GO's in the five sided nuthouse that this social engineering experiment is going to happen or you're out! I sure hope I'm wrong.

  5.

Does this come with mandatory enrollment for selective service?

Hopefully that will never come again but it should probably be equal too on the condition that 2 married people can't both be selected. Obviously pregnant/nursing women couldn't go but that'd be the same as men who don't pass the health requirement.

I think if I was in a crucial combat situation I might have second thoughts going on a mission with 2 or 3 women in my unit. They could probably shoot as straight but how is a 140 pound woman going to carry a 220 pound man to safety or hold up in hand to hand combat?

I can't claim I know how it works but I'd think that for the roles they just made open to women, everyone would have to pass the same tests. That's how it should work, anyway. I know for boot camp the requirements for women aren't as strict, but those are for anyone who joins the military.

Men are required by Federal law to register for Selective Service at the age of 18. Why aren't the women?

Why are the standards for women in basic training lower than the men?

  6. I like all this gender equality stuff. You know, why limit all the horrors of combat to men when you can include women too? Women deserve an equal opportunity to have their limbs blown off and suffer PTSD just as much as men do--in the patriotic fight to protect the rights and interests of Exxon/Mobile, Bechtel, and Halliburton(etc) around the globe. I don't see any reason why women should have to feel left out in this regard. Additionally, there's no reason the VA services should be overburdened and underfunded for men when they can include legions of women to the mix. Don't worry, the US taxpayer got it covered, more or less.

Why would society want to retain a nurturing aspect to a segment of the population when you can transform the entire population into warriors?

    Equal rights for all.

    Sarcasm?

  7. If true, would be a good indication that the perception of our team's strength does not match our record.

That, or they wanted to lock up our historically good-travelling fanbase.

Either way, I love the bowl and opponent as compared to cold Detroit or Air Force. A lower-profile opponent is a no-win situation for national perception IMO.

    Exactly what UCLA is thinking.

  8. You know, I remember reading there was some discussion among the coaching staff about Lewis. I thought he deserved more than he got, but I also think he redeemed himself in the end.

If there's going to be some insinuation made that Riley isn't enough of a disciplinarian, though...I guess my response would be you haven't paid attention to the players, sometimes key ones at key moments, who have at various times this year been suspended for a violation of team rules.

    Such a "pillow bite'n" response.

  9. Soo.. MR, who ignored TO's advice about running the ball and Midwest weather, is going to scrap his "formula for success" to take advice from an abysmal local HS coach/radio troll? :laughpound

Extra practices will yield dividends in the future...umm, about how many practices do you think they got between the Rutgers game and the Iowa game? Seemed effective to me. :waste

How significant would potentially going 5-8 be? Well, in this day and age not many teams get 13 chances to thrash about on national television in a puddle of their own misery. But hey, at the end of the game we get another "Riley Post-game Presser". Maybe we can get James Taylor to do a duet with MR and salve the wounded soul of HuskerNation? :thumbs

    lmao

  10. Seems us and Kansas State are the near lock to make a bowl game at 5-7. Sure KSU is 5-6 and has one more game against West Virginia to get to 6 wins outright but regardless they would go at 5-7 as well.

To whatever bowls with the openings, Nebraska and Kansas State have to be very appealing off names alone. Seems Minnesota stands a great shot of getting a bowl as well.

I know some may not want the bowl game from a pride factor of believing we don't deserve it but on the flip side the practice time given, the prestige of going to any bowl game period and the chance for the seniors to play one last game out weighs not going.

Not to mention it is more money added to the B1G bowl pool to dish out. Getting Nebraska and Minnesota bowl games is a plus in that department.

    Participation Ribbons for everyone!!!! YAY!!!!!

  11. No, thinkng Ryker Fyfe is the answer to our prayers is laughable. His ceiling is lower than Tommy's.

It will not matter one bit as there is a STRONG chance neither of them start next season.

You're an expert on QB ceiling's? I'll admit I don't know sh#t about ceiling's but I have seen what I've seen this year. Who do you suggest is the "strong chance" to play QB next year? If you think it's TA with this system we're running now, be prepared for another 5 win season.

  12.

Time to revisit this one year later.

    1. Failed

    2. Does not look to be possible

    3. Laughable.

Where are you at with the expectations you had this time last year?

Completely and totally underwhelmed. I was under the impression that just about anybody could coach this team to 9 wins, given the lackluster division we play in. I was not a fan of the hire at all, however, I thought that because of his experience, we might be a more fundamentally sound football team and that could even equate to a couple more W's. Damn, was I wrong.

We lost to Illinois and Purdue in the same season. I'd say our outlook for the foreseeable is bleak.
