If we don't win this by at least 30, I think we will drop in the polls a spot.
Not with UT getting blown out and OU struggling.
-
Where are all the debbie downers now
Still here. It was a terrible first quarter. Not sure we've really learned how to get after it for 4 full quarters, every week. Maybe we'll figure it out eventually, but Alabama and Ohio State, and maybe even Oregon have already learned how to bring it on every single down.
-
-
And a quarter late, we wake up.
-
Good grief. 1 quarter down...
-
Isn't SDSU 0-2? In the FCS?
-
Good lord guys, it's 3 minutes into the game, get over yourselves. The Huskers will correct it.
If we play a first 3 minutes like this against a real team, we will lose.
Yeah that's great buddy, but guess what this isn't Texas.
I think we had scored like 28 points by this time last week... The fact that we're being outplayed by South Dakota State is somewhat disconcerting.
-
alright, let's get a td now.
-
They are owning time of possession early
Lmao you have got to be kidding me. 3 minutes into the game? Please.
Isn't it like 8 minutes into the game?
-
So, anybody who's actually watching the game and not listening to the radio... what's the deal? Are we out of position, not tackling, what's goin on?
-
Its cause they gave out the blackshirts!! just like last year, give em out, and lose to ISU....
Texas Tech, than ISU, but yeah...
-
Don't care how bad Texas looked today, they will beat us soundly if we don't learn how to hold on to the football.
-
-
Good stop. I'd guess we're still playing pretty vanilla on both sides of the ball, so we may give up a few first downs here and there throughout the game.
-
They're taking the ball.. Bad idea.
:bonesflag: :bonesflag:

Yeah, we need OU to win out... until the big 12 championship game. Then we can claim a marquee win. Texas is going to unravel.
-
I HATE Boise.
-
Texas will get beaten next week by OU too, and they'll have folded entirely by the time they roll into Lincoln. With UCLA's QB springing 30 yard TD runs, imagine what Martinez is going to do to these guys.
-
There ya go. That's what you get for not just running the ball, UCLA.
Texas' defense is for real. But the first good offense they face will be us.
-
Their defense is pretty scary, but their offense reminds me of Nebraska's last year. In fact their whole gameplan is pretty much ours from when we played them. The offense is in a shell, and they try to win with their defense.

A chance to equal our stride,

Nice segment on Bridgette Root. It would be nice to see her get a shot at playng. However with her being a setter and the coaches daughter on the roster, her playing time looks less than....... even - equal.
It has nothing to do with Lauren Cook being the coaches daughter to why Bridgett Root wont play much, it is because Lauren Cook is really good and that is why she will play and not Root.
okay......

Two words...
Iowa State
We can't overlook anyone
Biggest. Fluke. Ever.

• Some interesting observations from ESPN football scouting guru Todd McShay:
1. McShay said Martinez's passing accuracy surprised him the most on Saturday and said NU's staff "is doing a nice job of limiting his reads (typically half the field or high-low) and the types of throws he makes (mostly short-to-intermediate routes), but Martinez deserves credit for making good decisions.''
2. He lauds Texas' secondary and says, "If there is a better secondary in college football today, I have not seen it play.'' And McShay broke down the NU-Washington tape. Guess we'll see about that in a month.
3. He said nine of Locker's 16 incompletions on Saturday "were a result of poor pass protection and/or his receivers' failure to get open. However, Locker was squarely to blame'' for the other misses, "which ranged from errant throws to poor field vision to terrible decisions under pressure.'' Obviously, Nebraska's secondary has some more work to do to impress McShay.
Post this in the locker room, Bo.

Sure, but nobody's watching. They'll look at the final score, if the final score looks like a 38-10 win or something, nobody will care.
