  1. I can't remember when we were this deep at TE, WR, and RB. I mean our stable of running backs is unreal.. Rex Burkhead, who epitomizes

Nebraska Football. Ameer Abdullah and Braylon Heard, both sophmores who already look like veterans. Ameer is already a beast.... Imani Cross is going to

be a flat out freakshow...Does that kid not look like he should be playing in the NFL? Can't wait to see him rumble through B1G

    defenses for years to come...

Kyler Reed and Ben Cotton are arguably the best TE duo we've had here at Nebraska for a long time... Sophmore Kenny Bell, Sophmore Jamal Turner,

Junior Quincy Enunwa (E-noon-wa), all at WR.... This offense has the potential to be scary.

  2. Watching these games over the last 6 weeks (Wisky, NW, and Mich St) it has become pretty obvious that the motivation factor of Bo Pelini right now may be second to none. It may not be a clean game but Nebraska has a top notch psychological edge. This team just does not lose their cool in doubtful situations. Now just get the other things cleaned so we can start rolling in the trophies.

agreed. This guy is putting it all out there, giving it his all and our team is feeding off that energy... I haven't seen a team with this much hunger since the glory days.. now if we can just harness this energy and like bo says.........execute!

  3. I have family out in Humboldt County. Beautiful place.

The redwood forest is amazing, this area is truely beautiful... I want to try and get a Husker watch site organized somewhere out here. I've ran into at least 5 Husker fans in the last couple months so I know they're out here. Maurice Purify is from Humboldt and played at Eureka High, so alotta people like Nebraska out here..

  4. I know Bo takes alot of heat on these boards, but I gotta say..I'm super proud to have Bo as the head of coach. I know he has a short fuse and gets wild, but he is the most intense, passionate, and fired up coach in the nation. This guy is the same as all of us in some ways....crazy, passionate, loud, dedicated...Most of Husker Nation is the on the same page as Bo. We're literally losing our minds watching every game..going irate at ever bad call...living and dying on every play.. I live in Humboldt County, CA and watch the game with non-Husker fans every Saturday. It's so fun watching Bo blow up on everyone..People around me start laughing when they see him losing it, they think its great! By the end of the game, many start rooting for Nebraska alongside me... I am always super proud, I just tell everyone "Yep, thats our coach Bo!"

  5. IMHO Bo can run his program however he wants, but as fans we have the right to know about our team. Not just from a fan stand point, but from a financial standpoint.

I spend over $100 a year on my student tickets. That's nothing in comparison to season ticket holders, but for argument's sake... There are thousands of people who pay money to go to these games and give our athletic department millions of dollars to make sure our athletes (in all sports) have the best possible resources to succeed.

There are also thousands of people who donate to said athletic department (aka boosters).

They don't do it because they like to throw their hard earned money around. They do it to support a program they care about, they love, and they want to see succeed.

From that standpoint, we have a right to know (and demand) certain amounts of information from the programs we support. Some of you may think it's a trivial pursuit, and I somewhat agree. That said, until people have reason to not care about it, they will. Telling people to care less isn't going to do you any good because that simply will not happen in this state with this program.

Over a $100 a year? Thats nothing! We don't have the "right" to know or demand information that could hurt our program. get it together.

  6. I find this thread so ass backwards.. This is one of the most exciting times to be a fan ever.. We're joining the Big 10. This is history.. If you don't find anything intriguing or exciting right now than I question your Husker loyalty.. Appreciate what you have. Your a Nebraska fan and our team is back in the mix again.. Right now, thats all you can really ask for..

  7. I stopped watching years ago but that is because it is low budget and watching NU paid media lob softballs to the coach w/ some video mixed in isn't really that entertaining.

    I don't have a problem with Bo's demeanor though.

Did you like it better when they were lobbing softballs to Callahan after his team got smoked and he gave such BS answers?

I guess I think the coaches show has almost nothing to do with football or being a fan. It is a little fluff extra that is kind of cool if you have nothing else to do.

    no sh#t!

  8. Theres been a lot of threads about which teams will be our biggest rivals and who we will develop to dislike the most, but I thought it'd be fun to think up which team we will get along with best.

For the Big 12 I think that the team that we most respected was Oklahoma, and my guess would be OSU for the Big 10.

I think this is because, one we have similar levels of tradition so there is a founding for respect. Two, we are in different divisions and don't play each other every year, making the probability of us hating each other less likely than some of our other Big Ten opponents (ie Iowa, Penn State, Michigan). Three, we will have a common dislike for Michigan.

I could also possibly see Wisconsin as a possibility.

AHAHAHAHAHAHA You must not know much about Ohio State fans.. you thought Colorado was bad

  9. Don't know what is up with this story, but 'under attack' is right. I don't get it.

At first I was reading and thought, wow, that is a low blow from Pelini. And it is, if that's what he promised.

But the article gets more and more absurdly melodramatic. An extremely poor attempt by the author...not even sure what she was trying to go for. It's usually not a good idea for reporters to write with emotion. I have a feeling she got more caught up in the outrage - substantially more - than even the sailor's disappointment.

Agreed. This article was definitely written out of rage and hatred. This is why I hate reporters.

  10. Screw that kid. I served in the Navy and never expected anything extra. wha wha wha i got a jersey and met Bo and was on the field, but they didn't let me call my play whaaa wha wha wha wha.. If Bo actually came to my old ship. GAVE me a jersey. and let me be on the field for the game?! I wouldn't be able to contain myself!! That would be one of best times in my life!! I definitely wouldn't whine about how they didn't let me call a play to some reporter. What a dumbass.

  11. I agree with Todd. The wife and I were planning to attend either the Fiesta or Insight because we have a family friend that lives in Arizona that we could've stayed with. Now that plan is out the window we will not be attending a Bowl game in Arizona and could careless about this bowl game.

You can't attend like you had planned, so now you could care less about the game?

    nut up people.

  12. I'm not a fan of all the crying about us having to play Washington again... Who cares??? You should support your Huskers no matter what! There shouldn't be any of this whining about who we play.. What's the worst that happens? You go see your favorite team dominate? Heck yes!

If you can go, then get there! That's what we're all about. Hell, I've even got two Ohio State fans, and a Missouri fan coming to cheer us on... :bigredn::restore:koolaid2::bonesflag:

WOW, I couldn't have said it any better myself! I'm tired of everyone whining and crying like 5 year olds.. People need to respect the opponent and respect the game of football. I realize that we got screwed out of playing Iowa in the Insight bowl, give it a rest..All this "nobody cares about the holiday bowl" crap needs to stop. If they don't care about the holiday bowl.. screw em.. we don't need em.. At least we know all the whiners will stay home and only DIE HARD fans show up.. I got my ticket and you better believe I will be so jacked for the game.

Good to know that there is others that feel the same way.

I went to the game in Seattle and it was one of the best times of my life.. I am going to the game in San Diego with a Texas fan who used to be on my ship, USS PELELIU, when I was stationed in San Diego.. I can't wait to get back out there!! Here are 3 vids I took at the Washington game..

"If someone gives you a meal, you don't say, this bacon isn't crispy enough..JUST EAT IT!!!" :throwdabones1::bigredn::bonez:bonesflag:
