It seems like everyone liked Doc. I wish him the best. Who knows, he may cross our pahs again.........someday.

Congratulations to the husker gymnasts!!

I just jumped back on the bandwagon...for at least 24 hours! Of course we all know we are a basketball school!

I like the hire. We tried to go to the West coast/big splash for a football coach a few years ago and we all know how that worked. At least if he take care of any local talent and relate to Nebraska people, that is a start. It will be difficult for a few years but we also gave Doc six years and many people still liked him.

College Insider dot com. We can do it in 2013!!

Having went to a few Racers games some years ago, it seemed the marketing was lacking. I think Ralston and those associated with the new arena are taking the right approach in looking at several different avenues, basketball, hockey and football.

We seemed to have changed our recruiting strategy from trying to sign 3 star players early (and a few of them get an extra star later) to trying an land the big fish. I have no idea which strategy would be best for the long run but I appreciate the efforts of our coaches trying to reach for the very best.

All BIG fans are now anxiously awaiting the Illinois/Purdue series since they now seem to be the best teams in the league. The Huskers did not look good tonight and for the last week seem to be regressing.

I think Miles is a good choice. Even if he has limited success, his connections to recruiting Nebraska talent could help to bring the fans back into the fold. We all know that we aren't going to be Duke or NC BUT in todays college basketball world even an occasional .500+ record gives you the opportunity for post season play.

Good luck to Tim Miles. He does have a chance, even though it's a small one to be a legend IF he can get the job done. Good thing there is a CBI and basketball dot com or whatever its called.

We need to schedule UNK in a doubleheader rather than a single game. Stay away from UNO...I don't want to think bad thoughts

3-11 Yikes!!

Cooper had a good look for that last shot. One or two seconds more and NC could have loaded up the bus

'What a call by John Groce' says the announcer

Clutch 3 pointer but still a chance!

12-5 is starting to look more realistic....hopefully not 11-6

Off-season injuries that are not related to your professional conditioning are career killers!

Womens softball won their first effort over NW 9-6.
As Harry used to say..........."Lets get some Runs!!"

How many teams from the BIG make their tournament..........I hope we can pull out a few wins because this one is not very impressive.

I apologize in advance as this is my first ever post after quite a while as a reader only.
I am impressed that the new play calling methods and the lack of a huddle have seemed to have a very positive effect on the readiness of our offense. I became soooooo disgusted with slow play calling, a hurried huddle, racing to the line of scrimage, no time to audible, delay of game, illegal procedure, late time outs etc.
In the past, there appeared to be several times during each game which I questioned if some of the players even knew the count/play/situation/who to block because they were in such a hurry to make sure they got the play run in time.
Being a former high school football coach for 10 years, I believed that keeping a consistent offensive rhythm was important for the players and their confidence. I believe this new methodology has had some effect on the improved execution of our offense.
Comments please.
