Wait, why are there no shoulder #'s in the picture of the 3 players?

They're on the sides of the shoulders, not the top.

Definitely our tamest alternates yet, which is fine.

I think they hit the mark this year.

I'm happy Adidas has established that not every alternate has to be totally new and covered in CHROAM!

If it's a mesh upper with plain white pants there is literally no way Adidas can screw that up. It'll rock.............

The numbers looked like they will have a mesh design, but the jersey itself will be the usual Adidas tread pattern from what I can tell.

Jury is out on the pants. I would be totally fine without stripes. We'll see tomorrow.

I think they will definitely be '97 Throwbacks with the numbers having the white mesh style to them.

I almost forgot about his blocked punts from a couple years ago. He was all over the place!

I'm having a hard time figuring out why he's projected to be a backup, especially after leading the team in INTs last year.

I think people are sleeping on Tanner Lee. Obviously there are other factors at play, but he's a major unknown, even to a lot of Husker fans.

 

He could be the next Sam Keller. He could be the next Zac Taylor.

 

I tend to lean more towards Zac Taylor, but I've been drinking Kool-Aid since birth.

And I love how people just assume that the defense will take a step back because we're shifting schemes.

 

Correct me if I'm wrong, but we just spent another offseason trimming the fat and hired a top shelf DC in his place.

 

I know the scheme change won't be a seamless transition by any means, but I don't think we're going to suffer like the national guys say we will.

 

Oregon should tell us quite a bit about how good of a fit Bob Diaco is at Nebraska.

Oregon will go through their own growing pains with a new staff and system.

 

They return a ton of talent/speed on offense and the defense has nowhere to go but up after firing Hokey Dokey. The guy they hired worked wonders at Colorado last season.

He can no doubt play the position and has shown time and time again that his head is in the right place.

It just seems like a foregone conclusion that he's going to be the next Ralph Brown and start at CB as a true freshman.

Does anyone else on Huskerboard share my belief that the Sun is the most important thing in all of our lives? That the Sun is God?

It's the one thing that is 100% consistent in this world. It has risen every morning and set every evening since the dawn of man.

What other entity in your life can you think of that is as powerful, consistent, and vital as the Sun's light, warmth, and gravitational pull?

I could delve so much deeper into why I feel this way, but I'm looking for others on this board who share this belief.

I suppose I would also welcome those of you who think that this is ridiculous to share your opinions as to why that is.

I'm not saying I'm 100% correct. That's sort of the entire basis of my beliefs. I'm agnostic by nature. I don't believe anything without some sort of proof.

I'm just curious if anyone out there shares my opinions on this crazy thing we call life. Here is an example of why I feel the way I do about the Sun/religion.

Tanner Lee. He didn't complete a single pass last year. I predict he completes a couple this year.

 

Seriously though, I don't think we can overstate the value of having an accurate passer at QB who can run the offense, consistently move the chains, and keep the offense on the field.

I would be ok if they put the old school Herbie on a white helmet

I wouldn't mind if they a Herbie on the helmet in the style of Boise's helmet.

 

Someone already did a design of what that would look like. (not sure who, just found on google image search)

 

Make the Herbie outline red and the helmet white. PUt jersey number on the other side and a red facemask, BAM!

Or make the facemask look like corn kernels

 

Or put "kick me" signs on the backs of all the jerseys while we're at it.

The last two alternates have been my favorites by far. Here's hoping they don't stray too far from these designs.

The only other option I'd be open to is the retro/modified classic uniforms like we did in 2009 for the 300th sellout.

Also, you guys need to really stop trying to make the corncob or the leather-looking helmet happen. It's not going to happen.

I'm far more concerned about their lack of discretion than their decision to get high.

Could be doing faaaaaar worse things with his free time.

Such as actual drugs, beating women, or driving under the influence.

Sounds like KJJ just solidified that redshirt.
