  1. I take inspiration from last night's NDSU vs. Kansas State game.

No offense and I mean this with all due respect but, we're not KSU and Wyoming isn't NDSU.. I literally would be more concerned if we were facing NDSU today. They've got it going on up there.

True. But if Wyoming plays with NDSU's moxie and no-quit attitude, it couldn't hurt.

    OH it's gonna hurt!!

  2. I am honestly more surprised by the amount of people here in Nebraska, on the husker board, that I just found at didn't hold a belief. I myself am an atheist and I am always surprised to hear about like minded individuals in the Husker Nation. This prayer shouldn't offend anyone. You want a prayer that may have offended maybe look back at the Penn St prayer. Even then I considered it part of the healing process for that team and families involved.

  3. At the least they will have him on special teams.

There's only 53 roster spots. Every one of those guys plays a position on O or D including special teams guys. Rex won't be kept for special teams alone because they just don't do that anymore. Not enough roster spots.

plenty of teams have guys just for special teams... im a packer fan so my example is from them alone... jarrett bush... He is a stud gunner, but only plays CB if they are all hurt.

  4. Honestly, people can answer you OregonHuskerMan...because they have no answers.

Instead, they make light of what you're saying trying to pass it off as a joke or to make you look like someone who doesn't know what he's talking about. It's an honest question they're avoiding. Hopefully, someone takes up the question, seriously considers it, and if they want Pelini gone, they answer it.

Or maybe they're tired of this same question over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over.

or maybe they realize that we are just spectators on an internet message board. why would any one of us have to be able to answer that? is eichorst or perlman posting on here?

but, yeah, it is a pretty redundant topic.

Clearly, no one here is either of them.

But I'm just simply asking what THEY would propose and what they think the answer to those questions would be.

I'm sure some people didn't even think about how we would be significantly worse before we got better due to - coaching staff changes (did the fire BO crowd ever think about Beck, Pap, TJ all leaving also?), how that affects recruiting? Or do they not think it affects recruiting?

People want to fire Bo, but don't think about the consequences of doing so.

I'm not a Nebraska guy, but I have been on the site long enough to know the question you are asking has in fact been answered, multiple times over. Those that are saying Bo should be fired have said time and time again who they want to take over as coach.

As for what would happen to the assistants, well, let the head coach worry about that; if you think the assistants are good enough that you can't withstand a head coach reshuffling then you have a whole other problem (e.g. perhaps your assistants are better than your head--if you believe that).

Nonetheless, your husker counterparts have exhausted your question, you just need to look through the other threads to find the exact answer you want; I have a feeling that most of them don't want to relive the argument to replace it in your thread.

What this guy said, and the other guy that said the same thing... This question has been answered multiple times... It IS a stupid question...

  5. The 2010 KSU game was nice, but all those yards and all those points came against one of the worst defenses in college football that year.

    K-State's 2010 defensive ranks:

    Rush Defense - 119

    Pass Efficiency Defense - 55

    Scoring Defense - 78

    Total Defense - 106

Compare that to Sparty's defense last year:

    Rush Defense - 8

    Pass Efficiency Defense - 3

    Scoring Defense - 9

    Total Defense - 4

Sparty gave up an average of 98 yards rushing per game last year. Martinez ran for 205 yards all by himself.

Sparty gave up an average of 98 yards passing per game last year. Martinez threw for 160 yards.

Sparty gave up an average of 16 points per game last year. Martinez accounted for 12 all by himself.

Sparty gave up an average of 274 yards per game last year. Martinez accounted for 365.

Did he throw three picks? Sure. But if those picks are your takeaway from Martinez' game against one of the best overall defenses Nebraska has faced in the past several years, I would submit that you're focusing on the wrong things.

It isn't even so much the picks, its when the picks seem to get thrown ... I hear ya though with how good there D was, and trust me man I really do think Taylor has got more talent then most people on that field any given day. Would love to see him go out this year with a heaping helping of stats, and a couple of real nice trophies for the school trophy room!!

  6. Their seems to be more people bitching about people being critical of him than there are people actually being critical of him. There's a bitchfest going on alright.

This^^ How can you discuss a player without discussing his misfortunes as well.. If you only talk about the good, then all players are perfect.....

There's been a plenty of talk of Taylor's negatives-over the years. This thread was started with a highlight reel and centered around his speed and athleticism and how good of a quarterback he is.

That's all we do is discuss misfortunes-about every player and every coach. Very seldom, if ever at all, is there converstation solely dedicated to positivity. It wouldnt hurt the path of conversation of our fanbase one bit to have such a thing, would it?

Well at least admit then, that "highlight" didn't belong with that highlight reel... I particularly like the Kansas State reel best, from 2012 I think... or whenever we last played them. When Taylor just gashed and gashed and gashed//

Seriously? You think that it's impossible to have a discussion about our players without criticizing them?

Hmmm, I fail to drink unreasonable amounts of Kool-aid. As I said before, if he cuts out the turnovers, he likely becomes the best ever to play here. Most likely it will lead to championships of some sort, but only read the posts you want to.

So now if you speak well of Taylor Martinez, that's "drinking the kool-aid?" OK.

Saying he is perfect is drinking Kool-aid, jumping people who think otherwise is drinking the Kool-aid. The guy needs more focus, with it he will win all the games, without we will lose one stupid game to a sh#t team...
