  1. I've been on this throughout the entire thread, but I think Bo's actions have been roundly, and thoroughly misinterpreted by many. Bubba's final 7.5 million contract should be indicative of that.

what does bubba's 7.5 miiiiiiilion dollar contract have ANYTHING to do with bo?

besides the fact that bo gave it to bubba on a silver platter, at the expense of his team? c'mon... bubba was never coming here.

At the risk of being repetitive, Bo did not give Bubba anything on a silver platter.

Bubba very likely could have had more...*if* he had been allowed to practice like all the other baseball prospects trying to gain negotiating position by practicing with their college football teams. That is what I mean by roundly misinterpreted. You are the one who brought up Bo as having been played. Not so. Bo refused to be played. People think that Bo wanted Bubba to practice, but Bubba didn't want to, when I believe it is the other way around: Bubba wanted to practice, but Bo didn't want Bubba to unless or until Bubba had decided once and for all that he was staying.

Please enlighten as to what "expense" the team gave up! :P

woah, take a step back and look at it... "practice this, practice that." please... bubba was never going to come here, at least thats the way it was after the draft. to talk about practice *allens voice* at this point is hilarity... the kid was never going to come here. how do I know that? he didn't come here! Bo played the royals game, bo played the bubba game... he played both games and lost. the fact that he played the game to begin with, he lost. its sends a messed up message to the squad that one player is above the team, above practicing... above all of that. does bo think that way? absolutely not, but it still sends a message nonetheless. practice starts on the 6th... if you're on the team, practice.. otherwise get out of lincoln. all i'm saying is that bubba the football player wasn't worth it in the end IMHO. thats just me.

  2. And this thread still isn't locked WHY? Or sent to 'other sports'? Is this pick and choose? He is a BASEBALL PLAYER. Doesn't play for Nebraska baseball, sure as hell doesn't play Nebraska football, yet this continues? Unbelievable. Keep practicing hard Nebraska FOOTBALL players...I'm sure eventually ALL THE KANSAS CITY ROYALS AND BASEBALL FANS on this thread will finally take notice.

    FTW

  4. Bo is the biggest loser in this situation... lost a great player, lost a lot of recruiting time and effort (it happens a lot every year i guess), gained a lot of BS attention, but worst of all he sent a terrible message to his players and his team (don't even get me started on that)

    Please.

    please yourself. its science.

  6. Wow, is it because it is titled 1995? because other then that, as soon as I heard the song come on, I would be clicking the video off, no matter what the video was of.

Uh, yeah... it doesn't take a genius to figure out why it would be a great song for a highlight reel. It's dramatic and the title is 1995. How old are you? Let me guess, you would prefer "thunderstruck"?

  7. Jamal Turner will be a reciever... The way he plays is electric, reminds me of a great receiver. Don't automatically tout him as a quarterback just because he played it in high school. In high school the smartest thing u can do is get your best player the ball every possible chance, if he CAN play quarterback he WILL play quarterback. Plus he played WR in the under armour game and he was given high regard from press, coaches, but more importantantly, the secondary players he went up against said he was a dam fool to play anything other than WR. Just because Scott frost played qb for us doesn't mean he can help an NFL team as quarterback in the same way.... very similar situation.

  8. all I got from that letter is "blah blah I'm a fan who knows nothing telling bo what to do." You guys had better hope Bo never sees this toilet paper.... this is the kind of stuff that makes bullet points in "reasons why I want to leave" lists. Bo is just fine the way he is.... everyone who thinks different can kick rocks.

  9. All I know is if Bo goes to LSU that'll push Nebraska back 2-3 seasons from being a competitive team again.

Our offensive staff already pushes us back 2-3 seasons. If Bo leaves and we get a big time coach *crosses fingers* they wont be coming in with a bare cupboard. There is talent coming back. Hopefully we can keep some of the recruits on board and keep Dennard and Crick here. Maybe Crick is waiting to hear what Bo is doing before making his decision.

big time coach? that's becoming more and more of a toungue n cheek statement. Bo has turned into our best chance of winning championships. *AHEM*COUGH*FIREWATSON*AHEM*

  10. Les Miles going to Michigan hardly affects the relevance of the B10, especially in the immediate future.

But is it a factor in Bo's mindset? He has a chance to compete with one of his former bosses. I would compare it to playing Oklahoma from his point of view... not that its a huge deal. But possibly a factor.
