Kicker Sandro Deangelis and Darrhan Diedrick are Canadian, but I'm surprised at so many Huskers coming up north....Usually guys from small schools, or guys from big conferences but from weak ass schools like Maryland or Minnesota or Iowa State....but NU is a big time powerhouse.
Just curious, do Canadians follow college football or are you more of an exception? Also, do Canadians perceive NU as a big time powerhouse?
You'd be surprised how much Canadians (and not just us Alumni of US schools) follow the games. Since all the stations, save ESPN, are available up here, and stations not broadcasting hockey on Saturdays need something to fill time. I find most big games on TV every week. Most of Canada actually gets the Detroit feed of ABC through one of the biggest cable providers, so one thing that surprised me is the number of UM fans throughout the country.
As for the CFL, since there is a cap on non-Canadian players, the fans generally get excited when a player from a known program comes up here, but like anything, you have to be able to play - it's still pro football and things happen so much faster than the college game.

I'm still guessing the reason Michigan is at the BWW is because the school made certain concessions to the bowl - all because the Wolverines didn't want to play at the same time as the NHL Winter Classic at the Big House on Jan 1. This way the local fans can attend both, or at least watch.

I enjoy Texas losses.

There, Bo's the coach and we need to rally around and support the team and stop the infighting.

Oh that was a nice TD drive. Keep Hundley off the field, tire out their D. Keep it up.

Good, glad they called that P.I.

As for Jay and Dan, we really miss them up here, as they were the lead Sportscentre anchors. Most mornings they were must-see TV, and they actually showed sports highlights. The one thing I wish I could a good shareable video of is a proper compilation of their work at the last couple of Olympics - some of the funniest stuff ever.
I would recommend checking out their current podcast - the last one they had Tom Arnold and Brian Urlacher on it https://twitter.com/JayandDanPod hopefully you'll see they do have some sports acumen beyond the NHL.

Thought you folks down there would get a kick out of this. What took them five years at CU to realise, only took 5 games by the Montreal Alouettes - that he is a terrible coach. I watched a couple of the games and he looked totally out of his league as the team was completely disjointed - lucky to be 2-3 at this point.

It's the CFL, not intramurals.

Man, why do I always chop up onions for dinner when reading this thread? Gotta move the laptop to the den.

The more I think of Abdullah's fumble, the more pissed I get. That changed the game
Yep, I said "dammit, that's the gamechanger," here at our place.

Well, I enjoyed the first 3 quarters. They showed up for two-and-a-half more quarters than they did a month ago.

Great drive. Now a defensive stop would be stellar.

I, for one, welcome more Canadian kids to the program (provided they can actually play)

That was more like a 98-yard run...

What did I just see?

I'd be lying if I didn't say I expected this

I have a feeling UCLA wins next week (assuming the outcome stays the same as it currently stands), because winning against the same team in B2B weeks at this level of football is extremely tough.

That win felt great for some reason. Now, time to turn the PIP off and watch the 3rd period of the Winter Classic.
