  1. Wow..this board has become ridiculous in the last 24 hrs. Colleges are being thrown around like Baylor, Arkansas, and A&M. Why? I don't even know as fans why you would bring up random schools outside of his top 4 unless you have some ground breaking links and information to share, but I'm just gonna go out on a limb here and say you don't.

We have had several insiders on this board say that AG loves NU, and most coaches down in Texas say he's Nebraska bound. Now I understand not getting your hopes up to let them be dashed like Owa last year, but can we really compare the two? Aaron is basing his decision off faith and Owa based his off of his mom. Their recruiting processes aren't similar besides them both being high profile recruits who had Neb in their final selections.

Let's say that AG goes elsewhere, I know the board will enter meltdown mode immediately, I mean we are 4 hrs away and it is already in magma, but I agree with the posters saying we can't rip on a kid who has went through the process this way. Also, instead of just throwing out random schools Aaron might commit to or saying that you don't think he is going to come here, we can concentrate those energies into finding out more info.

Come on Husker bros. Don't fall into this trap. I love this bored but dang...

Agreed, This bored is already in a meltdown and he still has a few hours before the decision. All this board is doing deadhorse.gif. Maybe he goes somewhere else but who cares. He alone won't bring us a NC. It takes everyone on the team to do that.

  2. Only thing close to this was when I and a couple others "stormed" the A&M field in 2002 in a drunk fueled bender. Got tackled/assaulted by a corp member, got in the OWH, Omaha late news, A&M student newspaper. Some NU school detective came to my frat to speak with me, confiscated my video of the event and asked if I wanted to press charges. (declined that)

After the initial "run" and some of the players helping me out of that jam some A&M coach picked me out and said I started it all. Had 1 hand in cuffs before they decided to release me to my family standing about 2 feet away. The unwritten rule is that A&M grass is sacred stuff and no one can stand on it. (IMO-bunch of BS since I have never heard that crap until that night) Got lucky that I did not have to spend the night in jail like my other buddy for bringing in booze to the game. Unfortunatley, for him we had to leave for Houston and he had to stay in Bryan(ghetto part of College Station).

This event did not repeat in 2006 (we did take a group picture after the game though on the grass!) and I have no plans of repeating that in 2010.

You are now officially a God to me

  3. And when did Baylor even become part of this discussion? I'm sure that those kids are just playing mind games since so many people are saying Nebraska they are just trying to bring up the emotion for the decision but its all for not since he will end up at Nebraska unless he knows where bin laden is.

  4. Welcome to the family Mr. Allen, and we might be done with WR's.

How many spots do we have open for a WR and also who is filling them besides TA? Thanks

1-2 spots from what I have heard, and Daniel Davie will play WR.

Thanks, Who else is high on us that we want to get to fill those remaining spots.

  5. it has been fixed already. someone posted a picture of the scoreboard when we lost to them at home 52-17.

Oh...well...maybe someone should post the 3rd qtr score and then the final score last from last years game.

or they should replace the picture of 'the zou' (faurot field) with a picture of a toilet.

I deleted the pic from wikipedia

from Ncaa site, it says updated on 10/23.

This one is big for me. Our defense has not been creating many TFLs. I think this mainly comes from our primary defensive scheme. We just don't send a lot of guys in the backfield to create TFLs. We try to keep the play in front of us and have good man coverage. I sometimes wonder what would happen if we loaded the line/ blitzed more often.

    How often do we Blitz?

  7. Run it. If that don't work, pass it. If that don't work, run it. Get what I'm sayin'? ;)

Im glad to see Kinnie becoming a playmaker. If Paul can hold on to the ball, which I think he will, I can see the pass being extremely useful. Having two threats at receiver will sure help us. I did notice that it looked as if Martinez throws the ball really low sometimes during the Ok St. game. Did y'all see that too?

  8. I see Watson opening up the playbook for this one since this, I believe, will be the game that decides the North. Mizzou now knows that we can pass and our receivers can actually catch them. I am looking to see Nebraska running at the beginning of the game then open up the passing game. So, I would say that Watson will want it to be 50-50 run/pass ratio.

  9. kid looks explosive when he goes to the ball i am very impressed with his tackling ability.

he might be able to make an immediate impact on our team next year with the move to the big 10

Let's hope, I can't wait to see Lavonte David next year. I think he will be a beast. Has anyone seen Santos play?

You can watch his highlights on his ESPN profile.

    Thanks

  11. http://www.vegasinsi...odds/las-vegas/

    Veeeeerrry interesting...

Not really. Missouri was a 3.5pt dog at A&M and a 3pt dog at home to Oklahoma. Considering the game is in Lincoln it just seems like they are being consistent. Missouri knew they would be underdogs through this entire three game strech.

That line will move a lot I think before the game gets going.

Agreed, unless we call Suh up to screw up Blaine's ankle again. insertsarcasm.gif

  12. Haha yeah he does. He knows that committing to the Huskers right now is pointless because we have 2 guys to fill one spot. He mentioned the fact he knew that there was a possibility that there might not be a spot for him.

well you know i like him a little more..... given that the staff told him all of this and he is still high on us makes you believe that the staff would love to have this kind of guy on the team if things work out......

He could gray shirt if he really wanted to play for Nebraska.

  13. They usually favor the pass, but look for them to come out running against us, duh, we can't defend the run (at least on paper). Missouri loves using screen plays, quick slant patterns and zone read schemes a lot, all things that NU matches up against greatly. Their offense is still really potent, though, and will give us it's best shot.

Will we run the Peso against them or will we go with the Dime package primarily? I'm still learning about football as I spent my whole life playing hockey. Thanks.
