That's crap that Southern Cal can be ranked in the AP poll especially since they cannot go to a bowl game. Oh well, like what has been said earlier, these polls don't matter.

I am shocked at how poorly Notre Dame has played this year. Any recruiting battles we currently have with them?

 

Looking at their recruits they have a ton of DE's...I am counting six in their class.

 

There are 3 recruits in Ohio that we could make a play for with our move to the Big 10.

DB Jalen Brown from Texas holds a Husker offer already.

 

Why would they de-commit and commit to Nebraska? This is Kelly's first year at the helm, If I was a recruit I would stay committed because its a prestigious University and Its only Kelly's first year. I do have the same pipe dreams of y'all and wish that these recruits would come to Nebraska but I do not see it happening.

After their upset of Oklahoma, I am worried that our D can't stand up against the run as well as they can the pass. What do Y'all think?

I disagree with your statement, there are 11 players who needed to execute with precision and work as a team. The players did not execute the system well enough. This premature assessment of Watson is completely wrong. You have to be patient. This system will work when the Huskers start executing it with precision. We still have a lot of games to play and I believe that the coaches will get this problem fixed.

I agree 100%. The Texas defense knew that Nebraska's main playmaker was Martinez and since he kept getting stuffed, either by bad reads or nerves, the Husker coaching staff knew that we needed to put in someone else who could throw it. I was also very discouraged by the play of the O-line.

Its getting obvious to me at least that our D is getting run over and our lack of size is hurting us. I understand the peso puts our strengh of speed in the secondary on the field, but we dont run it with two linebacker anyway, why? Its always gomez coming up into the box and Thenarse and PJ at safety.

 

Does carl not trust Whaley or Martin? Is Comptons injury that big of an issue that forces us to use only one LB throughout the game? What am I missing, we play a great man to man coverage anyway so why not help out with an extra LB in the run support.

 

Compton healthy or not, id like to see Lavonte get some help from martin/whaley, Gomez just isnt big enough to consistantly help David.

Did Compton play yesterday? I don't remember seeing him on the field.

The way most of the posters on this board are acting is absolutely pathetic. You're acting like it's the end of the freaking world that Nebraska lost yesterday. Yeah, I realize that many of us (myself included) were heavily emotionally invested in this game but that doesn't justify the things you people are doing. You are taking personal shots at not only the coaches, but the players as well. Yeah, Niles and Ricky had terrible games, yeah the coaches called the worst game in the Pelini-era. SO WHAT. You guys have it easy. How do you think the players feel? Terrible, I bet. The fact is that crazier things have happened in college football (a la LSU in '07) and Nebraska is still in the hunt.
