With the exception of the mid-40s man that I was inclined to make tear up using merely my words, everyone I met in Madison that was over college age was friendly and fun to talk to. The students were just kinda stupid. Their vulgar chants were just uncreative and pointless. If they would have been funnier about it, I would have left with a higher appreciation for the fanbase in general.

Respond to this. We'll have a chat!

That the Wisconsin fight song is an inttricate song and dance. It's like a 6th grade musical performance.

Overrated: the "Black Jersey?" thread
Underrated: "The Clever Quips About Shawn Watson Thread"
Where is the clever quips thread?

On Schick and Nick and USC they're saying that they are trying to get a bunch of Husker fans out to Tanner's Bar and Grill. I, for one, will probably be going there even though I have no clue where it is. Sounds like a good time.

Other than Iowa, I think most opposing fans are going to be pleasant until the honeymoon period is over.
Iowa fans won't be pleasant because they're the worst people in the world... Other than Todd McShay of course.

I don't know if this should be moved or not, but I am quite pleasantly surprised by the Badger fans that have showed up on this board. I've heard some horror story about Wisconsin fans and was thinking we'd have a lot of trolls pop up, but for the most part all of the Wisconsin fans on here seem both knowledgeable and humble, given the success they've had of late. Might be some of the better discussions I've seen in my short time on the board.
With that out of the way I will make another reference to the topic title. TMAgic said that the team is "ready to shock the world." This was discussed on another thread and #8 beating #7 wouldn't be a "shock" but I know I'm not the only Husker fan who thinks that an NU win would be a pleasant surprise.

I was in California over the summer and I walked around every day for a week, often at night, and was almost always wearing some piece of Husker clothing. I guess I'm one of the lucky ones who survived.

I am drinking the kool aid? Might want to see my past posts. Nebraska will still lose 3 games this year, but Washington's rb is out and obviousy locker isnt there. They struggled with Eastern Washington for God's sake. Maybe 50 was a bit of an overexaggeration, but the game will be over with by halftiime.
Uh, what? Got a link?
He was questionable to start the season, but he's fine now. Either way, Nebraska wins by 4 touchdowns. That's some realistic kool-aid drinking for ya.

Hawaii outscored us 12-9 in the 4th quarter, their only TD coming off a miffed punt. And yes I conceded we have a bad pass defense, fortunately I'm not too worried about it going against Martinez, LOL. And yes, that Hawaii team. The one with the QB who had more passing yards than any player in college football last year. Rankings? Fresno State wasn't too concerned about them while almost taking you out. At least Hawaii has won a game this year....
I would be afraid of your receivers if Martinez had even a slight bit of passing skills. It's even more pathetic that he can't get the air game going with such weapons. Playing againts us will be no different. And hey genious, Moniz averages 6 yards per pass because the run and shoot invloves short passes. It's the entire point of the offense. LOL at that flying over your head.
How we played Oregon is now a legit argument for your chances? Your offense looks nothinbg like Oregons. Maybe because you don't have half the athletes, either way, I'm not worried.
You are very quick to dismiss Martinez as a passer. Ask Oklahoma State how that worked out for them last year.
Whoops. It appears several people have already made this point. But I guess that does nothing but lend it more credibility.

36-10 is a little much. I still think Washington will win but it will be close. Keith Price is by far a better passer than Taylor Martinez, and he has been clutch so far in our 2 close games. I think that will be the difference, along with the usual amazing game from CP.
FWIW, in Nebraska's past 16 games, the opposing qb has been a far better passer than whatever qb NU has rolled out, and they are 12-4 in that span
1-1 against Washington though, soon to be 1-2.
Ignorance is bliss eh?
I do appreciate your optimism for your team though, even after some close games against lesser opponents. I wish more Husker fans would take on your attitude.
Only difference is we have a team worth being hopeful for
Seems like about 80% of the Husker fans trust in your team. The other 20% are predicting 4-5 losses. I think the Huskers will win around 9 games, with one of their losses coming to us .
In exactly 6 days I will be posting a thread titled "UDub" with nothing but this:
I expect you to print it out and eat it.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. +1. This scratched me right where I itched.

Honestly,
I don't think you guys had an answer for Chris Polk in either game last year. Your defensive line was soft in my opinion. Sure, you defended the pass very well against us, but this year we've added a massive tight end and an explosive Wide Receiver to our offense. OUr offensive line is much more talented than a year ago. If that offensive line from a year ago dominated the Husker defense, this one will part your defensive line wider than when Moses parted the Red Sea!
You still have Martinez, but I'll take my chances with Washington shutting him down than a team that has a scary passing attack.
My prediction, Washington in a rout, 36-10. (You get 10 in garbage time)

I would like to see the rebirth of the shocker sign
There was a Shocker sign at the Red River Rivalry a couple years ago that was bigger and was pretty detailed. About fell out of the chair when I saw it.
As for a sign, one can never go wrong with the ole stand by
FREE LP
Thunder Collins too.

We are to the point in our program where our goal should be to win every single game.
Um, seriously? I should hope so...what was the goal prior? Pat yourself on the back for this little nugget. (size 5 even)
He means that it is now a realistic goal for us to win every game. Duh.
What's the concensus on Bo in huskerville?
