  1. Sean Callahan's twitter:

Pretty disturbing to hear that some Husker fans sent death threats to Dan Beebe and the Big 12 office. That's why he wasn't here.

    LINK

Callahan ... I've heard that name somewhere ...

I think I have to call BS on Mr Beebe. If that is true, the FBI would be on this and it would've been national news.

I for one will not be buying into any of Mr. Beebe's conspiracy theories.

    lol

I just saw this article and thought I would come over to see what you would be saying about it.

Guys I am not here to flame but just step back and take a look at the situation. People are telling him they want him dead! What about the stuff people were saying to his daughter, would you be happy if that was your daughter? Everybody on this board is laughing about it.

There is a good point in there. If there is really a fix in against you guys, why would you be able to keep winning and make it to the BIG 12 Championship Game?

I am just coming with an objective opinion, think about it.

  2. hey husker_99,

Why in the hell would he apologize for something that he didn't do? Like I said, there is proof! That is why he apologized. It is laughable for you to think otherwise!!!

Atleast Carl apologized about his actions and informed Brandon that he would pay for the damages in which Brandon said that there were no damages. Again there was no sound and you see Carl walking away minding his own buisness than the camera pans to Carl and he reacts to something. Was it something someone said? Was he provoked?

In the mean time your coach apologized about Jerod-Eddie's actions that was shown on TV and that he was remorseful for what he did but still nothing from Jerod-Eddie himself. No suspension from the Big 12. Another act that one of our players have been faced where the Big 12 has turned a blind eye to act on it and suspend a player.

Its ok for Aggie fans to make a big fuss about a stupid camera that wasn't broke that Carl grabbed and appologized for. He even offered to pay for any damages but yet you Aggie fans don't mention how Jerod-Eddie should face consequences for his actions in grabbing someones "manhood" shrugging it off saying thats what happens at the bottom of piles and get over it.

What is this continuous talk about him crabbing his "manhood" or "balls"? If you watch the video, you can obviously see that he pinched the back of his leg. If that guys balls are all the way down there, then he has the biggest balls ever!

I am not saying what Jerod-Eddie did was right but at least tell the truth about what happened. It's not like a Nebraska football player has never done anything in the bottom of a pile. You are seriously talking about suspending a player for pinching somebody, are we in kindergarten??

  3. That's a solid column.

    1. Brings out the fact that the calls were TURRIBLE in some of those instances..The TJE/Cotton debacle and roughing the passer. He acknolwedges the disparity in penalties. It's a good point.

    2. He also discusses Bo's temperament and that no matter the ref crew in any conference, his antics don't earn him any favors. He needs to learn better self control.

Personally, I think it's spot on from all angles.

bunch of bullsh#t is what it is. Jerod-Eddie won't be suspended by A&M and i don't expect Dan Beebe to do anything about it.

Just like Carl Pelini will not be suspended for his actions.

what actions? there is no video proof that Carl did anything unlike Jerod-Eddie. nice try.

    Yes there is. Done

  4. That's a solid column.

  5. It's not enough that they literally stole a game from us, now they have to make up stories and libel our coaches? I'm beginning to see why Texas hates these guys so much.

Did we steal the 60 yards we gained after the penalty? Was the call questionable? Sure. Did you have additional opportunities to stop us after the penalty? Yes. You also turned the ball over two times. Was that part of "the fix," too? Come on, guys. Again, I think it was just a hard fought game that went down to the wire.

No, it wasn't. The Iowa State game was a hard fought game that went down to the wire. This was an abomination.

I'd have a lot more respect for you if you just shrugged your shoulders and said, "The refs definitely did us some favors in that game and I'm sorry it couldn't have been a cleaner matchup. Best of luck to y'all in the future."

Why do you insist on trying to pretend like this was a "hard fought" even handed game? Is it to make yourselves feel better when you look at your win-loss column? Whatever you need to do to feel better about beating us by a field goal at your house, with our starting QB out half the game, and some pretty shady officiating.

Just do me a favor. Change your BS from "12th Man" to "12 men and 5 guys in stripes." You could have your own sitcom.

Was it our fault your QB was out half the game? No! Your offensive lineman got his butt driven back 7 yards into the backfield. Good grief you guys play the victim card like nothing I have ever seen before.

You don't get it, do you? I'll explain: If I think my team is good and we have a big matchup coming up, I don't necessarily want their star player to get hurt early in the game. Yeah, it might make it easier for us to get the win, but it's . . . just not the same. What's the first thing a Sooner would say if I brought up the fact that we beat them last year? "Yeah, but Bradford was out, and Grisham, our tight end, was injured . . . " How about when 'Bama beat Texas with Colt McCoy out of the game? Kind of a bummer. You don't want to win by getting lucky. You want to win by actually out playing your opponent. You will recognize this same theme from action movies when the bad guy always throws sand in the hero's face or poisons him before they fight so the hero is weaker going into it.

What does this have to do with you? Maybe instead of coming in here and talking trash, you should recognize that you basically dodged a bullet and had a little booster seat courtesy of the Big 12's finest. As I said, beating us 9-6 at your house, with our starting QB injured, and with generous assistance from the refs is not the stuff of gloating.

If I'm you, I'm wiping my brow, saying a little thank you to your diety, and hoping that you don't see us on a neutral field with an honest officiating crew later this year. Because you and I both know that you'd be on the stinky end of a double-digit loss if you did.

your saviour basically played the whole game!! and i laughed at the double-digit remark, that was a good one!

  6. Really?? i thought you guys were better than this conspiracy theory stuff!

You guys have a GREAT team! Your Defense is Awesome, just like all of you guys have been saying! I hope T-Mart comes back 100% either way and I hope somehow we get a chance to play you guys again in the B12CG!!

Your team was probably a little intimidated and were probably playing a little sloppy becuase they were pressing. It is a common thing to come into a place like that and not play like you normally can. It also did not help that your coach was yelling in the referee's ear basically the entire night, the referee probably might have been a little flag happy at the end fo the game because of that. So blame your coach!! I

Here is the penalty break down for the game against you guys and OU, both played at Kyle Field.

    Nebraska 16-150 A&M 2-10

    Oklahoma 4-29 A&M 14-83

point is, we got our fair share of penalties called against us during the OU game at home!

Thanks for proving the point. The big 12 is biased towards anyone playing nebraska number one, then the hierarchy of the south(oklahomo>tam). Herbs is a punk and once the big12 disintergrates I will laugh my ass off because bebee will never see another job like this. People around the country have seen his true personality and he will be done in college football forever. Wat a complete snake, and god forgive the refs who are in on his job. We should have 2 holding calls on our dline evry game at least. Good job tam on only getting 2 penalties for 10 yards the whole nite. Wat a bunch of crap. F the refs!

    lol

  7. I think it's been about 10 years since there's been a good enough reason for me to "unrationally" punch holes in any walls, but I just couldn't hold it back this time... Nebraska has been getting screwed by crooked refs and bogus calls all season, but this was sooooooo blatantly obvious. How can the conference get away with it? I just don't get how the NCAA has come down on schools, players, coaches, etc so why not on conferences? Can't wait to get to the Big 10; if not for anything else other than something more honest and just. Don't get on me about, "man why did you punch holes in your wall?" or anything like that... it's not a question of stupidity or lack of control, but curious if anyone else had as much trouble handling this as me?

loss to the refs? really?? you guys really are into the crop circles aren't you??

it had nothing to do with the team you played??

The way you won the game had everything to do with the refs. Without that horrible late hit call, the game is going to OT, or Nebraska is winning it. Could you have won the game in OT? Sure, but we should have had a chance to play the game and not have the outcome be determined by the refs.

we overcame the exact same things against OU just 2 weeks ago. it happens, you just have to deal with it! You should be blaming your coach for b****ing at the refs the entire game. They finally got tired of it and probably got a little flag happy at the end!!

  9. I was at the game tonight and I was very disappointed in the Texas A&M fans tonight when Martinez got injured. The entire stadium erupted and cheered his injury. Overall I have always felt good about A&M fans in general but this really made them look bad.

I didnt hear them cheer when he went down but i didnt hear them cheer when he got up neither.

The place was loud, even at times when we were on offense. Normally the place gets really quiet when someone goes down on either team. If people were cheering when he got hurt that is not acceptable in my book.

it was dead silent when he went down, nobody wanted to see that.

OP just trying to make Aggies look bad like this entire site is trying to do!!

  10. Really?? i thought you guys were better than this conspiracy theory stuff!

  11. They are obsessed with their receivers on this site. Does anyone know if they're actually that good or is it all biased talk?

Their top 2 receivers are the best pair we've faced, but neither is as good as Blackmon. But we have Dennard so I don't really care. The top OSU receivers have more total yards but that's only because Blackmon is so much higher. Here are some stats

1 Justin Blackmon Okla St 158.9

    3 Jeff Fuller Texas A&M 92.3

    4 T.J. Moe Missouri 79.4

    7 Ryan Swope Texas A&M 71.1

    10 Michael Egnew Missouri 58.6

    15 Jerrell Jackson Missouri 51.1

17 Josh Cooper Okla St 50.5

28 Bo Bowling Okla St 35.4

    28 Uzoma Nwachukwu Texas A&M 35.4

    OSU's top 3: 244.8 yards/game

    A&M's top 3: 198.8 yards/game

    MU's top 3: 189.1 yards/game

    OSU's top 2: 209.4 yards/game

    A&M's top 2: 163.4 yards/game

    MU's top 2: 138.0 yards/game

A&M has to be balanced, imo. Their receivers alone aren't going to beat us. Here's a rushing comparison:

    4 Oklahoma State 188.40

    5 Texas A&M 161.40

    6 Missouri 160.30

Fact is, OSU did score a lot of points on us. But I'm not all that worried about it because most of them were because of Blackmon being awesome + an 80 yard trick play. I'd actually prefer 2 wide receivers who are 80% as good as Blackmon, because our 2nd best corner is so good.

You are smoking crack if you think Jeff Fuller has only 80% of Blackmon's ability.

Blackmon is having a fantastic statistical year. But where was he last year? 260 yards receiving and 2 TD's?

I guess we will see tonight just how good Fuller is, if you have saftey help he probably won't do much which is how people have been playing him.

  12. I live in College Station...my husband and I will be at the game. Who all is tailgating?!?! We'll be looking for our fellow Husker fans. We are in section 501.

What kind of food are ya'll looking for? BBQ? (There are some good local places)

Honestly...the Aggie fans aren't that great...I've been here for almost 5 years...many of them take pride in destroying a town when they travel. Of course that isn't all of them and there should be some good tailgates to stop by. If anyone wants info on how town is set up or places to park, etc. let me know!

You must have some serious anger issues with A&M. Every negative Aggie post I see on this site is yours! I am starting to think you are not a real NU fan but a troll from another Texas school.

As for the people that are interested in what to do, you have to make it to Northgate and go to a couple of bars. The Dixie Chicken is a famous bar on NG that you might find fun but it gets pretty crowded. The tailgating parties will be everywhere and for the most part, people will welcome you in to visit and have a cold drink.

Hope you are treated well! Obviously husker in aggieland has had some bad experiences with some so-called-Aggies but every school has their jackasses so just disregard them if you come across them!

Looking forward to a great game and a great time!

  13. I don't think they'll be able to throw on us. The only team to do that successfully was OSU and aTm is no OSU. It'll come down to the run game and whether our D-line and linebackers can stop their run game. We've had problems against mobile QB's so this could be an issue on Saturday.

Yes, OSU clearly showed their dominance over A&M by beating them at home on the last play of the game after the Aggies turned it over 5 times.....

????? I'm a Nebraska fan what is that supposed to mean? Maybe I'm being biased but I think that Osu is just alot more explosive then Atm... Can you accept an opinion?

    lol!

    Heh.....that's a damn good point. It'll be a whale of a game!

OSU is playing better at this point of the season though,If atm were to play Osu again the would get smoked.

wow, the confidence in Okie State is astonishing! this is the Husker board isn't it?

by the way, A&M is playing better at this point of the season too, also with a different QB.

Can you say Kendell Hunter and Justin Blackmon? LOL! OSU is a bigger threat throwing and passing the ball than Atm.

You guys absolutely LOVE these Blackmon and Hunter fellers. They are good but I don't think you have been watching us play.

This people on this board are pretty reasonable in their posts but you sound like you should be on baylorfans!

????? I'm a Nebraska fan what is that supposed to mean? Maybe I'm being biased but I think that Osu is just alot more explosive then Atm... Can you accept an opinion?

sure I can. Your remarks make it obvious that you have not seen us play, you think okie state is the best team that you will see and you seem to be overly confident that every team out there including your own will demolish A&M, hence the baylorfan remark!

I respect Nebraska and their football team. I think this will be a great game and I am looking forward to two great teams playing this weekend.

    carry on!

  15. I don't foresee us trying to go vertical early. Cyrus Gray has gone for 100 yds four times in a row. Realistically, we are going to try and pound it out on the ground, set up a swing to Swope in the flats, and possibly take a shot downfield to Fuller if Tannehill recognizes man coverage.

I am looking forward to this game, because we actually have a shot to win.

I dont believe Swope will be able to bust coverage in the slot, and Cyrus might get his yards but as soon as we make the right adjustments could be tough for him. As for Tannehill, he hasnt seen a defensive backfield like this yet so this is his real litmus test.

I think it will be a close game. I appreciate your smug and hope your team feels the same way. Tannehill may be a little green at QB (he's been on the field all year), but we'll do more than you are giving us credit for. Please, keep thinking we'll show up and lay down like a week 2 1-AA team. You might have a long ride back to Lincoln in your future.

I don't know why you think he's being smug when he's giving you his honest opinion, one team all year has had success passing against us and that was okie lite, I don't believe you have a receiver or a running back that is on the same playing field with blackmon and hunter...and as has already been stated, we eat great qb's for lunch, and since you've got an average qb...i'd say your chances of successfully passing on our secondary are slim to none..call it kool-aid if you want, it's our board :woo

You obviously have not seen Jeff Fuller play! I am willing to put a wager down on who will be the better NFL receiver! :laughpound

    Character: Advantage Fuller

    Size: Advantage Fuller

    Athletic Ability: Advantage Fuller

    Frog Hands: Advantage Fuller

Best Statistical Year in College: Advantage Blackmon

  17. seennotheard is right, if Fuller is covered by man coverage with no saftey help, it will be a long night for your CB. Fuller is way better than blackmon

that being said, i am concerned about your D, we will have to exploit weak spots. from what i have read, is that your run D??

I like Fuller and think he'll make some plays, but Blackmon is way, way better. NU rarey runs a pure man-to-man scheme as some apparently think they do. Usually NU plays man underneath with safeties over the top (cover 2) or a match-zone scheme. Pelini is also known for mixing things up week-to-week with the defense. Against Mizzou we played a "spinner" with 3 down linemen and an upright DE who lined up based on the offensive formation. Mizzou never did figure it out.

As others have mentioned, A&M's best bet is to get a running game going and BE PATIENT. NU's defense is predicated on frustrating offenses into doing something abnormal or stupid. A&M needs to stay within 7 points going into the 4th quarter and they'll have an excellent chance.

Red Denver hit the nail on the head. Balance is the key to the Aggie offense in this game, if we are forced to be one dimensional we better hope our defense scores two TDs and Nebraska drops 3 touchdown passes again.

Oh and please do not label all Aggie fans based on tamu's post. Fuller is good, but he is not WAY BETTER than Blackmon. That's just a shock value statement.

Maybe I can ease off on the "way better" comment. I am biased, but to think that Blackmon is way better than Fuller is just as foolish. I agree that Blackmon is having a better statistical year than Fuller, but where was he last year? 20 catches for 260 yards and 2 touchdowns? That is the best receiver in D-1?

Just take a look at the comparisons of their respective statistics. Again I will give Blackmon having the better year this year. But he also does not have high caliber receivers taking catches away from him like Fuller does (ie. Swope and Nwachukwu). I agree with fig96!

    Blackmon Stats - http://espn.go.com/ncf/player/profile?playerId=380077

I don't mean to make a big fuss over this but you guys are probably partial to Blackmon because of what he did against your D. And you do not want to believe that Fuller will be better. He may or may not, we will see. But I still believe that if you leave just one man on him, he will have a big game.

Just my opinion, but I wanted to show what Fuller has done for us the past 3 years and at least why I am biased!

All in all, I think it will be a great game. I know you guys are really good and am looking forward to the matchup! :cheers
