  1. Tm's 40 time - 4.5

    Dr's 40 time - 4.33 100 meter - 10.44.

Sorry I dont see TM being faster then D. Rob.

    Measured by...?

No 40 times in college are accurate. I remember reading a couple of years ago that Helu was timed running a mid 4.2 in spring ball. We all know that's not true.

I voted Martinez. Watching highlights of them both, Robinson is lightyears ahead of Martinez in "wiggle", but Martinez is a touch faster in long speed.

So you discount the 40 speed yet you think highlights are more accurate? Are you kidding me? That makes no sense at all

Everyone should take Taylor's 40 time with a grain of salt. That's what he clocked his junior year of high school. He's clearly improved.

  2. I don't like how the situation went down, but none of us know the fine details beyond the whole resignation so I'll give Bo the benefit of the doubt and say he couldn't do anything about it. I hate how Bo handles the press, specifically the way he lies to the public, but he doesn't seem like the type of guy who would purposefully mislead recruits.

  3. I don't see Lavonte going first round unless he improves a fair deal, which I guess I do see envisioning, but current Lavonte? I don't see it. Our scheme is designed to get the linebacker(s) a lot of tackles, his success is just as much to do with scheme than it is to do with his freakish talent.

I don't buy that at all, because if that was true, then our other linebackers would have better numbers also.

  4. I don't understand why Starling is receiving praise for his competitiveness. Taylor is the same way, is he not? And from the looks of the article, the only reason Starling is considering football is because now he thinks he can surpass Taylor on the depth chart.

  5. I might be completely alone in this, but i absolutely hate the way that Green handles the media. He tells everyone that he is happy for Martinez and that Taylor should be starting because he is the man. To me this means one of two things:

    1. He's fake.

    -or-

    2. He's not competitive.

A leader is someone who tells you the way it is, not someone that tells you what you want to hear. If I were Cody I would be pissed off that I wasn't starting and would work my ass off to get better. I wouldn't spend my time talking to the media. jmo

Funny that our #2 and #3 QB's had the maturity to swallow the disappointment of not being QB1, yet were still willing to suck it up and talk to the media. Yet QB1 rarely talks to the media, and when he does he makes stupid comments that it's "my team and no one else’s team".

I don't have a problem with Taylor saying that. A lot of leaders say that type of stuff; it just sounds weird coming from him because he's so quiet.

  6. It's hard to win games when your offense scores on your defense. How many times did the offense screw up and give the defense no margin of error? Hell, they outscored themselves in the bowl game, 9 to 7.

  7. I'm a Taylor Martinez fan, and I think he deserves another shot at QB since he was pretty good before the injury, but if he can't get along with teammates and he's potentially a cancer then I don't want him on the field, period. I don't want Bo to force him to transfer, but if that's best for all parties then so be it. I hope people appreciate what he's done for Nebraska, though. I seriously doubt we'd see this type of negativity if those articles about Taylor's attitude problems are proven to be false.

  8. I don't think I'd have a problem with the way Bo handled the QB situation if Taylor Martinez wasn't such a drama queen. I have no idea which stories are true, but from the sounds of it he is not a popular guy in the locker room and I'm not convinced they'll play hard if he's the starter next year. There were even hints at the beginning of the year that the upperclassmen thought Zac or Cody deserved the job.

  9. I respect Taylor, and I think most Husker fans do too. Despite his flaws, he led the Huskers to 10 wins. What's more alarming is that I don't think his teammates respect him, and as good as he is, he can't be the starting quarterback if that's the case.

  10. Nah, I don't blame Pelini's practice schedule. The players were about as motivated and happy to be there as we were when we heard we were playing Washington again. It is what it is. Hopefully this negative situations turns into a positive and Bo announces that he is completely overhauling the offensive staff. chuckleshuffle

  11. Uh, I don't think Taylor was faking it if that's what you're implying. The replay showed his ankle (left?) get turned sideways. What's sad and annoying is that he probably would have been pulled but his a-hole father bitched about it so much after the first game that they just left him in.
