Beebe's an idiot. He can't discuss Courtney's hit on Gabbert but he lets Tom Osbourne announce there are new and improved officials for the championship game. It makes it sound like your other refs blew it, Dan.

Now ESPN said that if he does leave, he can't play the following year with whatever college he goes to. Does anyone know why this is?

Isn't that the norm? You have to sit out a year after transferring.

Given Broekemeier's unique situation, I sort of understand why he hasn't seen field time. Then again, it's not like our receivers have been consistently catching the ball, so it baffles me that he wasn't even given a shot before senior day. It just makes them look dumb.

If Taylor is 80% or better he should at least be given it a shot. Watson should stick with yesterday's game plan, though. There's no reason to run 20 zone-reads per game. If Taylor's able to make cuts, then throw in a couple runs here and there, but rely on Helu Jr., Burkhead, and company.

I wish we could just pick a damn team. I'd love to play Boise State, Ohio State, or even a team like A&M. Uconn? Come on now.

He didn't have a lot of "oomph" to his throws. I think he's still injured, and Bo just wanted him to go out the right way.

Well....not to stir the pot b/c neither my dad nor I can confirm this as being true...but my dad knows a certain players father on the Husker team. I don't know the players name..once again..this could be hearsay and totally misinterpreted...but I guess Taylor's dad, Casey, is quite vocal with his son's role on the team. I guess before the season started, Casey spoke to Bo and told him that if Taylor isn't the starting qb at Nebraska, that he would pull his kid from the team. And then the reaction Bo gave him was something along the lines of..."we'll get the papers and send him on his way." And supposedly Casey backed down....sooo....I thought that was quite interesting...but I wouldn't put it past Bo being how black and white he seems to be. BUT ONCE AGAIN...this is all a story I heard from my dad who knows a guy who happens to have a son playing for the Huskers...just thought this story was a bit interesting....I don't really have many hard facts to back this up tho...sorry.

I heard that Casey sent an email to Bo basically saying why it was wrong to pull his son and what not. Again, rumors.. but if its true thats sad.

 

Taylors dad needs to let taylor control his own stuff.

If that's true it's kinda alarming since Bo commented about pulling Taylor and said it was a mistake.

We learned that this particular offense is somewhat effective with Cody Green under center. Now that it's proven, we will go back to zone-reading the crap out of the opposition.

What a douche. Yeah, Ben's going to go on national television and say, "That a-hole tried to grab my ball sack." Once again, Beebe, you come off looking like a complete ass.

If some of the rumors are true.. he quit the team in august.. quit the team last sunday.

 

Doesnt get along with any teammates and lets daddy do all his talking then i dont want him on this team. Dont care how talented he is, thats a loser mentality and he wont take us to the promise land...

 

BUUUUUUT.. we dont know if these rumors are true.. so why dont we hold off on our opinion of the kid till we get more. I would love to sit down and interview him and see how he truly is. It can be hard going that far from home, who knows he might be homesick.

 

Seriously. I'd like someone to take a class with him and just start badgering him with questions, trying to figure out his personality. At least we'd know the truth, sort of.

I know people who have taken/currently taking class with him and a few of his professors. He is a quiet kid who seems sort of shy somewhat. I know a few non-football athletes who seem to like him, he isnt fully hated.

 

He is what he is.

That's the thing. He's probably arrogant, but some of this hate in the locker room could come from jealousy. For one, Watson always praises the kid and nobody else.

He can take his 'posse' or whatever he refers to his large group of 'friends' as and leave Lincoln as quickly as he wants too.

You think so? I've talked once or twice with Paul on campus and he's always come off as friendly. He doesn't strike me as arrogant, just confident.

I'd like to add to my last post. If Martinez is truly unpopular around the team, then why would he suddenly start interacting with his teammates? If they don't like him, he' not going to start a conversation and high-five them when they do well. It'd just be weird.

Bo should've faked a temper tantrum on one of the players and then instantly gone into a huge smile while pointing at the camera.

Look, I don't think we should be throwing our star QB under the bus because of rumors. His demeanor on the sideline looked poor tonight, but then again, so did Bo's the other night, and we all know the truth about Bo Pelini. I will support Taylor until evidence tells me not to; watching him sit on the sidelines by himself does not prove he's a selfish quitter who's going to leave after the season.
